Have rented a flat from Chase Evans for 18 months - they are better than other agencies/landlords I've dealt with in 10 years of renting in London. They actually respond to queries and try to help. Our deposit was stolen from us

When my roommate and I moved out; the condition of our flat was identical to when we first moved in (10 months ago). Sadly, the inventory manager dealing with our inventory reports accused us of damages that had already been in the apartment prior to us moving in (which means taking money from our deposit to 'fix' the damage). We managed to lessen the price they wanted to take from our deposit by sending visual proof and comparing the check in inventory report to the check out inventory report. But of course, we didn't have visual proof of every single damaged item they were accusing us of. Ultimately, from our £4395 deposit, we got only £1640 back and we can assure you - the £2755 that was stolen from us by Chase Evans will not go into fixing every imperfection in the flat (which wasn't damaged by us to begin with)!

I have rarely seen a worse agency than…

I have rarely seen a worse agency than this. When we got into the flat it was not properly cleaned, the showers were not functioning correctly, the mattress and beds were very very dirty. Took us ages to get them to fix most things and they were incredibly unresponsive.Further down the line almost a year later we ask them about car parking spots, they said they will check if they have anything available and I kept chasing for 2 weeks straight and still getting no answer. They just simply ignore me.

Quick response and usually find good tenants.But, when it comes to maintenance - lack of contractors - usually only appoint 1 contractor to quote. And this 1 contractor usually only provide 1 choice and 1 quote for any replacement of electrical or house repairs matter. Not an advantage to landlord cos we don't have a choice and usually contractor quoted expensive brands/ products/workmanship.
