Recently had to move out of our flat on very short notice. We contacted central estates about a property and they helped us find and complete with in 2 weeks. They were very efficient and transparent. We dealt with Manaan who was very easy to reach and communicated everything very clearly. He even showed us round the property again after hours. A special mention goes to Ella from the Progressions team, who was exceptional throughout. Had a pretty awful experience trying to buy a property from central. Probably partly due to the seller but also disappointed with how central manager the process. Some highlights include -Property being down valued by the bank by over 80k -Lack of communication on next steps -Told in email 'if the property was anywhere else in London it would be worth a lot more' like yeah obviously. -Finally negotiated a new price after months of waiting to then be told the garage is no longer part of the property as it was shown on the advert. That was the last straw for me and I hung up and never spoke to them again. Managed to buy a lovely house after with someone else but will never use Central again.

It is quite difficult to put into words how much we appreciate everything Central Estates have done for us over the past couple of years! Due to circumstances beyond our control we have had a tricky time selling our flat in Walthamstow. Throughout the difficult process though, we never doubted how much hard work the Central team were putting in. They were so reassuring, professional and friendly throughout, and so thorough when checking in and updating us. Central didn't give up on selling our flat even when it would have been quite reasonable to do so. They have been patient when we tried to resolve the issues, and never upped their fee even with the complexities. Their persistence and charm meant they were able to smooth things over and we are now happily settling in our new home! It feels like we have engaged with basically every member of the team at this point, but we wanted to give some particular shout outs to Rich (whose optimism and solutions focused approach is infectious), Shah (the sales whizz!), Paige (always an entertaining viewing) and then Katie and Ella, the dream sales progression team that got everything over the finishing line. I'm hoping we won't need to move again for a LONG time, but when we do, there's no other estate agent we would consider using. Thanks so much for everything guys!

Manaan was rude and unprofessional. Couldn’t even make up his mind through his emails. First told us there was a deadline to send forms to rent a property at 9am but the agent that did the showing told us to ignore the deadline. When the day came Manaan emailed us at 10:30 asking us how was the property, which we replied saying yes we like it, to get a reply back saying “you missed the deadline but I can put down you liked the property” so I said yes if you can and Manaan said “you’ve missed the deadline there’s nothing I can do” It’s a shame because there’s so many good reviews on here, but we have had a bad experience. May be due to this individual. Couldn’t even professionally write an email when addressing a customer. No support to ask if there’s any other properties we liked. I felt discriminated against because I was pregnant and that may be why he didn’t want to help find us a property even though me and my husband earn well. Really disappointed in this agency, wouldn’t recommend unless you want an unpleasant service.

I did feel a bit pressured by someone else in the team to go with a ‘recommended’ mortgage broker which I refused, so this approach may be worth taking a look at. Thanks to Shah and the team but especially to Katie for helping to sell my flat which had a very short lease. Sale was drawn out and extremely stressful but not through any fault on Central's side. Would recommend Central because they market properties really well, they are able to secure viewings quickly and you can speak to staff directly or via email. What happens next salewise depends on how good your solicitors/conveyancers are. Fortunately, I used a very good experienced conveyancer who understood the law so coupled with Central it was a winning combination. Top marks to Central. Thank you all.
