We sold our house through Burghleys in January 2023. At all times, Howard Bloohn was incredibly helpful. The whole team has fantastic knowledge of the Tufnell Park housing market and the expertise to market our home in the most effective way. They secured a chain-free cash offer at a great price within 10 days of starting marketing and the deal progressed to completion. Howard was also very helpful in giving advice on a whole range of other issues including helping us research the areas we were interested in moving to - way beyond the call of duty! He and Kieran were also a great help to our buyer and treated both sides of the deal with equal understanding. We interviewed a number of other agents before deciding on Burghleys. Many of these gave us the usual exaggerated hype. We had none of this with Burghleys who were clear and professional throughout. We would highly recommend Burghleys to anyone buying or selling in the Tufnell Park area.

GoogleSadly, I was disappointed as the team failed to take our offer requirements seriously. They amended the wording in the contracts without notifying us, to hide an issue that the landlord had already fully disclosed to them. The landlord was the one to to notify us directly of issue instead, while Burghley just rudely chased us to sign terms that had not been discussed.

GoogleUnprofessional treatment of potential tenants. Not trustworthy.
We had an agreed lease for a flat in London. The agency sent me a contract on Saturday noon with the request to send back the contract and to make a deposit until Monday 9am. They tried to call me on Saturday noon where I was unable to attend the call. I called them back twice on Saturday afternoon where no one picked up the phone.
On Monday at 12 I send them back the contract and tried to contact them again, without any luck. On Monday evening 22pm I received an email telling me that I did not meet the 9am deadline on Monday morning and that they have decided to give the flat to someone else.
It goes without saying that an international wire transfer is impossible to make over the weekend and that I have not received any follow up call from them.
I tried to solve this issue via email, but the answer I received basically was that it was my own fault and that I should not be complaining.
Furthermore and without my permission I was added to a mailing list from which up until now I still receive offers from this agency. It goes without saying that I never signed up to be on the distribution list and that I have tried unsuccessfully to unsubscribe.

We are sorry that you felt it necessary to write such a review. Without going into the specific details, you were given clear and precise instructions in writing of what was required from you when your offer was accepted, including the deadline set by our landlord. We subsequently called you and emailed you twice over the weekend without any response.
After the deadline passed, the landlord instructed us to proceed with another party. It is unfortunate, and somewhat surprising, that you chose not to respond to our phone call and emails as the outcome, and subsequent instructions that followed from our landlord, may have been different. We have acted in a totally professional manner throughout this matter, and are of the opinion that your review and comments about our professionalism has no basis or validity.
