GoogleTaylor, Kayleigh, and Nathan were warm and welcoming when we walked in looking for a flat. They felt super approachable, real, and truly not salesy-slick in that off-putting way. They gave us great advice, seemed genuinely excited to help us find a spot, and we felt very advocated for. Thanks yall !

GoogleInitial Review: Our experience with George T Ioannou and Nathan Arnold at Blakestanley was great. George was very helpful at the property inspection, providing insight and advice about the area, the property itself and the specific tenants that the landlord was hoping to secure. We completed our application process with Nathan, who was very professional and guided us through each stage. As we are newly moved to the UK, we had a lot of questions about the rental market and associated processes here and Nathan was more than happy to assist. Further, he was very prompt in communications, something we appreciated. As long-term renters, it is always a pleasure to deal with property managers and lettings teams that are prompt, professional and respectful.

GoogleMy experience with Jordi was incredibly frustrating, a real nightmare. She was consistently unfriendly and always sided with the landlady, rather than addressing our concerns fairly. There was a leak under our shower that caused the ceiling of our neighbor’s flat to collapse. Instead of investigating the issue, Jordi immediately tried to hold us responsible for all the damages. She demanded that we cover the costs for the damages to our neighbor's property. Naturally, we refused, as it was not our fault (we obviously have no ability to see through the floor). At the end of our tenancy, she collaborated with the landlady in an attempt to withhold our deposit. After four months of stressful back-and-forth, we eventually won the dispute and were able to recover our deposit.

GoogleIn my 10 years of being a landlord of multiple properties, this experience broke me. Read the reviews and believe them. When issues arise and you want a managing agent, who you are paying extra to oversee your property, to step up... Blake Stanley take a firm break. Expect nothing until you start the official complaints process. Only then, expect terse, sarcastic responses not from management, but from the same exact people who failed you initially. That's fun. They do not take action, they do not fight for your rights and they are vile to deal with. Hard pass.

GoogleThe London rental market is scary but as soon as my partner and I met George for a house inspection he was friendly and professional which made us feel right at ease. As we were new to London George was able to provide good insight and advice about the property, what to expect from the surrounding area as well as what tenants the landlord was hoping to secure. George was extremely helpful with the process to apply and was active in response times and keeping us informed with any updates. Nathan helped us through the application process of the property. As we were fresh to the UK, we had a lot of questions about the rental processes, contracts, and nuance. Nathan was always happy and patient regarding any quires we had and responded quickly. We are very happy in our new home and are grateful that George, Nathan, and the Letting Team at Blakestanley are so friendly and helpful.

GoogleOur experience with Blake Stanley as tenants was very poor beginning to end. There was a lack of any resolve to fix problems in the home and completely indifferent communication from all members of staff.

GoogleGeorge has been been so helpful and supportive throughout our whole process . He was professional throughout. He listened and acted to suggestions as well as providing advice and support. The real unique difference to other agents is be was always available working well beyond office hours as he really puts his heart and soul into helping you out. Definitely recommend to George and the rest of the team at Blake Stanley.

GoogleI was searching for a flat for months til I went at Blakestanley agency and George T Ioannou and the lettings team, Harry and Nathan they were the ones that they made my day . George was really helpful and polite. He had a flat at Broadway market which was amazing!! In a week time all paperwork was done and I had the keys . Great job guys , keep it up 🙌🏼

GoogleIn my 10 years of living in the UK, my experience with this real estate agency has been by far the most disappointing. Jordi, the agent we worked with, was unprofessional, unresponsive, and unhelpful throughout our tenancy, making the entire experience extremely frustrating. Whenever issues arose in the flat, I highly recommend going directly to the agency and speaking with someone else. Unfortunately, Jordi failed to respond to our emails, messages, or calls, and we were left constantly chasing her for any kind of communication or resolution. For 11 months, we lived with a wall covered in mold, which became worse on rainy days due to a leaking issue. Despite numerous messages requesting assistance, Jordi did nothing to address or resolve the problem in 11 months.

GoogleI bought my first flat through Blake Stanley and thought they were lovely. Non shark like. When I was selling my home end of 2023, with the market being bad I approached Flyp who tender the sale out to several estate agents. I asked Flyp to specifically reach out to Blake Stanley, as they had good local knowledge and I thought trustworthy. Each estate agent approached by Flyp have a choice as to whether they want to work in this way. Blake Stanley accepted the contract with Flyp but massively undervalued my home (valued it £85k less than it actually sold for, which was the price they had sold a property on the same street in 2018. Not only had property prices increased massively since their 2018 sale, my property was semi detached and had a full refurb). Ultimately did no work. Instead they lurked on the Flyp portal to see what my place would sell for. My place sold within the week. Immediately after my place sold, they listed a property on my street for £125k more than they valued my property with exactly the same sqm. Please note they never came to even look at my property. My belief is they never had any intention of trying to sell my property but are using Flyp as another means of market research. The whole situation was distasteful. When I saw what Blake Stanley valued my place at, I told Flyp to remove them. Unfortunately they didn't.

GoogleI chose BlakeStanley Estate agents after speaking with 3 different agents in the area. Alex was the standout agent for me. He was obviously very experienced and knew his stuff without trying the big salesman on me, which I definitely got from one of the other agents I spoke with. I had not sold a home before, so I had lots of questions and Alex was always willing to give me his time and advice and emails and calls were answered fast. I also dealt with Matthew in their office, who was also very helpful and he got back to me about various issues when he had news about the sale. All in all a good professional experience and what I had hoped for at the start, so I was very happy with my choice of agent. Thanks to Alex and Matthew.

GoogleThis review is specifically about Jessica McMullins. Jessica is our Property Manager at Blake Stanley. We live abroad and Jessica is responsible for overseeing the property, dealing with tenant issues and handing any communications with Hackney Council. We have been incredibly impressed by Jessica since she took over management of the property last year. Jessica is incredibly efficient, has very sound decision making skills and is a brilliant communicator. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I trust her to always make a fair, smart choice for us as landlords, and imagine that our tenants feel much the same way. Thanks Jessica!

GoogleMy partner and I have been happy tenants with BS for three years in a flat that we love. BS has helped us to establish a good relationship with our landlord by taking care of all the paperwork, rent collection, and helping us to secure this flat in the first place when we were looking for a nice and afforable flat to start our family. Since then we have been well looked after by our landlord personally. We are proud to call this flat our home, and to raise our young daughter here. Jessica Mullins recently took over as the manager of our particular flat. Since Jessica came along our experience went from "very good" to "excellent", as Jessica helped us to work quickly through a few issues. Jessica is professional, cordial, and communicative. During the last couple of weeks we've been very happy to sign on for yet another year at our beautiful flat. We are confident that if we have any problems, we will be able to contact Jessica directly and that she will help us.

GoogleMy property has just been sold through Blake Stanley and I have nothing but praise for their sales team, who were prompt and professional throughout. My sales lead was Alex, who knows both the market and his profession inside out, has a lovely positive energy and was a pleasure to deal with; and Matthew has been great, too. I particularly appreciated the weekly Friday updates and their patience with my frequent telephone queries. A worthwhile local company to support, which cares about its reputation and client relationships rather than short-term sharkery. I had considered using a digital agency, but having gone through the complex sales process with Blake Stanley and also tried to buy through several online companies, I'm glad I didn't. They deserved their fee.

Google*update after 2 years. They still didn’t fix it. This “agency” is a joke. Please please never ever rent or buy anything from them. Never use them. Absolutely the worst agency ever. Believe me you don’t want to have anything to do with them. They are fixing my shower 14 days now (I’m not alowed to use it). Nobody answers the phone. They don’t care.
