Wanted to see an auction flat. Emailed. No response. Chased - one response with few details. Emailed two more times, no response. Showed up on day of viewing and met with a disinterested and rude agent really looking to end the viewing. What a wonderful experience! Would never use them if I were selling. With his help, I found my current home and I couldn't be happier living in it, for almost a year now!Their staff are knowledge, courteous, and in general very professional. Scammers, don't trust them, I've lost time and money when I was about to buy a flat. They recommended me their mortgage adviser Timea Bozhani which charged me 750 pounds upfront. Despite having an excellent score I didn't qualify for any mortgage. I will never again use this agency, and for sure I'm not paying anyone upfront.

Already bad experiences during the tenancy so we looked to move out, inventory checkout was poorly coordinated - we were told someone would call us on the day of checkout, nobody did, so we rang them up and they gave us the external inventory agents and they said they had no record of a appointment for our property. We are now 3 weeks post-leaving the property, and still no sight of the deposit.

I believe we were lied to and manipulated by Barnard Marcus in selling our property. They work for themselves, not you (even though you are paying them a commission). Our sale was riddled with issues and we were advised (repeatedly) of circumstances that were untrue. Please save yourself the headache and stress - find and use an alternative Real Estate firm.

Having trouble with a simple check out report on my property at the sutton branch. Despite being told the inventory checklist was due to be completed last week I have had no further updates. All I want is regular updates but obviously too much to ask for. Will never rent a property through this agency again or buy and sell my property as I also has a horrible experience with that process.

Believe it or not, I have never managed to do viewing with them because each time they booked me, no agents showed up. I had this experience years ago with the branch in Muswell Hill, and it happened again last week in Thornton Heath. I called them, emailed them...not a response, despite my emails, despite my voice messages. I will just disregard every property I come across if managed byt them.

Buying a property through Barnard Marcus. Liandra in Streatham branch was great to deal with, very helpful and responsive. Ended up buying through Southfields branch who were equally helpful. Did the ID and financial check at the Earlsfield branch for convenience. I love that all the branches are nicely joined up and promoting each other. Compared to many other South London Estate agents, these guys are a pleasure to do business with!

Aaron and Serenah are slow to send and follow up with the Credas link, yet swift to blame the client in their own delays to complete the necessary paper work for the seller, rude, unapologetic in their failings, lack customer care and are solely driven to their own agenda. Jake clearly lacks oversight of his own staff.

I used Barnard Marcus to find a tenant for my flat. After a number of years my tenant moved out and I needed to release the deposit (set up by Barnard Marcus) They demanded an up front payment of £2955.95) - more than the deposit. These people are dishonest do not use them

Please dont use them ! I had an agent named Eddy at Sutton and was the worst, at a viewing, he speaks to a customer before me and takes 5 mins of my allotted time and wraps the appointment in 8 mins with no heads up as he had something to do for the weekend, with answering no questions and cannot show the garage !Very unprofessional and am sure who to avoid!

Lost out on an ideal location because staff at the mitcham office failed to phone me back. I phoned them on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Each time receiving a promise that I would get a call back except on Wednesday afternoon when I called back for the second time that day and was told that the house went under offer that day.

South Croydon office. They are a disgrace of a company!!!! My landlord signed off on our deposit at the beginning of August they still have not paid it back. I'm still chasing to get told people are on lunch etc and I NEVER get a call back. My advise would be to never use this branch or company I certainly won't be ever again

Terrible management and communication by the manager at the feltham branch they dont respond to any emails or phone calls. As a landlord i accept to be paid monthly and checks on the property however this was not the case I would not recommend them to manage any property and unfortunately I now had to change agencies.

I had the best experience with Priscilla Mohanarajah from Barnard Marcus, she was amazing through out the stressful process of finding the right mortgage, what i really appreciate in Priscilla performance is she understood the pressure and fears a buyer can feel during the process , she was assuring, patient and very helpful. Also I admire her follow up even after she done her part.
