I enquired about a 2 bedroom flat White Lettings Edinburgh had for rent and was given a mobile number to call them back to discuss further. A lady picked up the phone (the landlord or agent, not sure). She mentioned straight away, that she sees, that I'm calling from my company's phone, and asked me what I'm doing for living. I explained, that this is my work mobile and, that I'm a manager for a company which is doing a short term lets. She then said straight away, that she won't rent to me as I'm working for a short term lets company!! I explained, that this flat would be for only me for a private rent and it has nothing to do with a company I work for! She then said, that the previous tenants had rented this flat on Airbnb before. I answered, that it doesn't mean, that I would do the same, and, that this is a total discrimination against me just because of my place of work, and, that I'm just an employee in this company and getting a salary from them! The lady still didn't want to listen and she then started to tell me, that someone will already be paying a deposit for this property, so it will be gone (lie, lie, lie, I'm not born yesterday to believe this). Why to waste her and my time for me calling her if someone is already taking the property? Strange... So, I was totally discriminated today because of my place of work, and I would never recommend White Lettings Edinburgh to anyone! I will also be looking to take this matter further, as I have recorded this shocking conversation as a proof of discrimination.NegativeQuality, Professionalism

Just moved out of a flat managed by white Lettings. Smashing experience. Helpful, quick responses and seamless processes with their services. Would highly recommend using them. I think the best part is not just how efficent etc they are but how friendly and human they are. You get a lot of letting agents that don't care about issues or getting anything done in a timely manner but this is not the case here.

I highly recommend the services provided by White Lettings. Renting through this agency was efficient, friendly and easy! Caroline made the process very smooth, especially since I previously had not rented out in the UK. They always got back to me whenever I needed any repairs done in the flat (be it electric; plumbing; bedding etc.). The whole experience was very positive, making my stay in Edinburgh less stressful :)

The is the first time I have used a letting agency, the team at whites letting, advertised my flat for rent on 2 occasions on each occasion they quickly found professional people with no loss of rent to me. They are excellent at managing utility suppliers and local council needs as and when Tenants change. Their backup team of plumbers and electricians have always offered good advice and completed repair work quickly and within budget. I used whites letting services for 4years, during that time they provided a professional seamless service to myself and Tenants and managed all aspects of the letting with little or no involvement from myself.

White Lettings is the best letting agency we have ever experienced. The entire application process and move-in procedure was smooth and easy to do (even in Edinburgh’s difficult rental market!)
