Don't take £500 PLS offer. House itself-threatened to sue.

If customer care are ignoring you look at CRA 2015-in my case for missing extras sections (9-2), (11-1) (11-3), (24). Small claims court can be submitted online. They will make a same day payment to you like they did me.Literally, when I was about to get the keys at 4pm, get a frantic call from PLS saying their previous 3 completion statements were not actually complete-they need £700 more. Refuse and you cannot get the keys-even though I expected to move in today. Question the fees? It is 4pm-banks close at 5pm so you won't move in. And PLS were recommended to deal with it all for the Alexandra Gardens, Crewe development? Steer clear-their £500 discount cost me £700 ON THE DAY! (I have requested a copy of their frantic calls and emails on the day of completion suddenly requesting the funds to further my complaint). As for the house itself no huge issues-a few missing items from the extras list, but the customer care team are frankly hopeless. A shame as the house itself is actually fine its just their attitude-before sale you are a priority, after sale an inconvenience. If you want to go Anwyl to avoid some developers with bad press-Anwyl are no better, service is hit or miss (and don't care if they miss).EDIT: Anwyl tried to remove this review by saying it was not "verified" and Trustpilot asked me for evidence of an invoice or contract-well sir (I cannot name you due to trustpilot rules), you know it is me, you called me the day after I left the review. Very disappointed you would try and remove it not by speaking to me but by claiming I did not buy this property when you handed the keys to me personally. This review is now verified as you can see.Edit 2: See how clever Anwyl try to be in their reply. The information they gave to PLS as "my" solicitors was correct. And the information Anwyl gave to me was correct. HOWEVER, they do NOT state the information given by PLS to me was correct-hence the frantic phone calls. So the solicitors they recommend made a mess of it. Expect such weasel tactics from their customer care team who didnt care their recommended solicitors gave me incorrect information!

Good house and good on site team

Engagement by a very good on site team before we moved in and during the weeks afterwards. No issue was deemed too small to talk to them about and they were very helpful at all times. Moving house is always a stressful time and they certainly did their best to ensure as much stress was removed from the process where they were able to.

Do not purchase a house from these cowboy's. By far the worst customer care and after care service I've ever had, or not had in my case, the workmanship in house I bought is absolutely awful, even the walls in my property aren't straight!!!! I had a flood nearly 12 months ago and I'm still waiting on them to sort out the issue, in fairness it took them 6 months to get a firm in to replace my water damaged floor only for them to use a different type of material and now the floor looks horrendous,i've even escalated the issue to their head of department, only for them to say that they've done everything they can!!! The fact of the matter is they don't care!!! Lies,lies and more lies! They must pride themselves on having the worst customer care in the housing sector likewise with the aftercare that they provide!!! So unprofessional, I can't put into words on how much I hate Anwyl homes. Just a bunch of deceitful and unprofessional individuals.Please do yourself a great favour and avoid buying or having any contact with this poor housing association!!! Lowest of the low and by far the worst of the worst!!!

Where do we start? EXCEPTIONAL, CARING? Nah… that doesn’t even come close. Having just purchased a new home at the Glyn Farm estate in Colwyn Bay we couldn’t be any more impressed! From the site office to the guys on the ground. We don’t have enough words to convey just how fabulous each and every person is that we have encountered! On saying that, there is one person that has made the process not only easy but fun, considerate and made us feel truly special the whole way through… SUE .. you are simply the best!! We are so blessed that you were on this site, you are a true ambassador for the ANWYL HOMES ethos of being thoughtful builders. You exemplify what it is to be at the coal face dealing with the ever changing emotions of buying a home, going out of your way to fix and mould individuals needs whilst explaining the can and can’t do’s in a way that doesn’t compromise your professionalism… you my dear are the most fabulous credit to this company… BRAVA to you! Xx BLEDDYN and TOM (the ginger ninja) for being there when we had things that (as is only to expect in a house finding it’s own feet) needing a “tweak” here and there! Well done lads… you need to have your heads in 39 different places at once but you do it with good humour and grace! Lawrence Gardens, Barton - couldn’t be happier

We moved in to Lawrence Gardens in late Feb, 2022 and couldn’t be happier with our family home. We started the buying process mid 2021 with Sam who was super helpful and was one of the main reasons we picked Anwyl versus other developments. Nothing was too much trouble, always smiling and accommodating, and communication was great. We felt reassured and confident that Anwyl was the right choice. The house looked amazing and the whole site had a nice feel to it. We then had Debbie and Hayley look after us through the rest of the sale and move in process and they both were equally as helpful, keeping up really good communication with us so we knew what was happening each week. The whole process up to getting keys was really smooth and stress free. Since moving in, Debbie and Hayley have been on hand for any information we’ve needed. The site managers Ian and Pete have been great too. Very friendly and welcoming. They visit regularly to check in on us and make sure we’re happy. In the first month they let us know of any work going on site as we were the first to move in in our little bit which showed professionalism and genuine customer care. Any small issues have been taken care of quickly (new builds are hand made products and will always have little snags). Ian and Pete genuinely want to make sure we’re happy in our home and that comes across really well. We’ve made a few official recommendations to family and friends already and they’re now buying an Anwyl property too. Great job done by the whole team at Lawrence Gardens. We couldn’t be happier. This is my first house buying experience, and the Anwyl team have made it enjoyable and stress free from the beginning. Hayley in the sales team could not have been more patient and knowledgeable while I took the time to make the right choice and she shared my excitement at choosing all the fittings and extras. I am delighted with the space and quality of the Caernarfon house. As I have gradually moved in over the last few weeks, Ian and Pete could not have been more helpful in addressing a small handful of issues, always done with a mix of good humour and professionalism. Our move was quite specific as we were moving back to the UK from abroad. Not only that, but it was through COVID, where travel was massively restricted. The Lawrence Gardens sales team (Debbie and Hayley) were really supportive in finding us the right property and adapted our meetings so we could move forwards, even without being present onsite. They followed the process right though to the handover of the keys and are an excellent representation of the company. They were one of the reasons we decided to buy with Anwyl. It doesn't stop there. Once we moved in, the site team (Ian and Pete) have been checking in on us on a regular basis. They are reactive and helpful and have made the whole experience a real pleasure. They are here to answer questions and fix any minor defects you may come across. I would have never expected to receive the level of service that I received from them. They are a credit to the organisation. I also had a independent inspection done on the property when I moved in (to check for snags) and they were very impressed with not only the build quality but the final finish. I quote "one of the better properties they have been to". I'm sure you will not be disappointed with Anwyl property, especially if the Lawrence Gardens team is a reflection on how they operate. Could not recommend them highly enough.

Excellent customer service and build quality

Excellent customer service from our first interest to receiving the keys. Standard of house quality is first class with pride taken in the smallest of details by the site manager and all his team. Sales staff likewise are there to answer queries at any time and there is a real passion and commitment to everything they do. I would recommend Anwyl to anyone buying a house. This is how new houses should be built but rarely are.

Lawrence Gardens

It’s a few weeks now since we moved into our new Ascot DA home on Lawrence Gardens and we’re very happy both with the house - which is well designed and finished- and the service provided by the Anwyl team here. While we were moving from quite a distance away, Hayley and Debbie in the sales office ensured we were kept well-informed throughout the process and were really helpful in keeping things moving. Since we’ve moved in, Ian and Pete, the site managers, have been in regular contact to check things are fine and that any snagging - of which there’s very little, actually- is sorted. They take an obvious pride in their work, and in ensuring the new owners are completely happy with the quality of the final house. Thank you all.
