Unfortunately we've had an extremely negative experience with Move Residential over the last couple of weeks. We are looking to buy a house. Initially we saw a wonderful house which was already "Sold STC". Then, that label disappeared from Rightmove, so I called Move Residential to ask if the house was back on the market. At that point I was told they weren't sure and took my name and number, saying they will call me back. Then, a week later, the house was still available but no call back. So I called them again and was told that yes, the sale has fallen through, and that it is available! I asked to arrange a viewing and was again told I would be called back, and that I would be emailed. No email, no call back, I had to chase them repeatedly to arrange this viewing. When we finally turned up to the viewing (the seller was doing their own viewings), the seller was surprised to see us! They had already sold the house, and had asked Move Residential to cancel the viewing. Again, we did not receive any communication from them, therefore completely wasting both our evening and the seller's evening. Following this, I emailed Liam from Move residential (it had been him that I had repeatedly chased) to express my disappointment re the above. No reply, no apology. I have checked my junk folder - no emails there! I'm absolutely appalled at the lack of professionalism from this company. I can only hope we don't have to deal with them again as buyers, and we definitely will not be using them when we are sellers in the future.NegativeProfessionalism

Poor customer service.

Called about viewing a property that was listed with Move Residential. I was told great and they would call the vendor to arrange. I was super keen to see this property so I informed them that I could see it at anytime and was flexible around the sellers. Another day passes so I called them back and they told me the house was sold. I understand that the market is booming at the moment, which is great for estate agents obviously. I do feel however that customer service has just gone out of the window when you don't call a potential buyer back - really poor.

My flat had previously been on with another estate agent for eight months with only a handful of viewings in that time. On changing to Move Residential, I had an offer within two weeks. Move Residential were proactive and driven. They were professional and I would recommend them to anyone wishing to sell their property.

Absolutely awful service from the sales…

Absolutely awful service from the sales team in allerton. To date now, I have tried to arrange 7 viewings with them for different properties and they never call you back. When I see a house I like and their names is attached my heart sinks. They are just shocking! One of the houses I wanted to see, and was considering putting an offer on, they never called back and it’s now just been reduced! I would never put a house up with them.

Poor/mixed experience overall but friendly staff

I had a mixed experience of Move Residential. Several times I left messages and no-one called me back, which led to a long delay in progressing the purchase of a house. They also said they'd relayed some information to me which they hadn't. I think they were very busy at that time with staffing issues but it was very frustrating. When we viewed the property for a second time we were unable to gain access to a specific area that we had requested access to in advance and the surveyor was also unable to gain access to (again we did ask for access during the survey). When I did manage to speak to staff the service was usually helpful, polite and friendly. But ultimately, I was frustrated by the experience as a whole and would not use them again.

Move Residential were a pleasure to deal with from the viewings to completion. We had no issues with organising viewings for the various properties we wanted to see, or when our offer was submitted. They were pro-active throughout the whole process, dealing with all aspects, including solicitors and helped our sale go through smoothly.

Woeful service. First off went to view a property and the vendor didnt turn up so we couldn't get in, drove all the way for nothing (the lady from Move who was going to show us round did apologies). However, it wasn't even for the flat I asked for. Rang up to speak to someone and received terrible service. Explained the whole situation and a normal person would respond with "I'm really sorry about that let me fix it" instead I just got "Well we've got 2 properties on the road so you must have been booked to see the wrong one". When I told the man on the phone I wasn't happy with the bad service he replied with "Well it's not bad service it's a mistake"... ok so 15 mile round trip to view the wrong flat and the person didn't even turn up anyway and I'm offered no apology doesn't constitute as bad service? Also the flat they took me is nowhere to be found online so I don't understand why they would make the mistake of taking someone to view a flat that no one even knows is up for sale. The flat I wanted to view (2 mannering road) has been up for sale for 1 year, Move have done the seller a disservice losing out on a potential sale due to poor service. I refuse to give them my business. Train your staff in basic customer service skills and maybe you might shift more properties.

I've been a tenant through Move Residential since October 2019. Despite a handful of issues with the house itself I've had nothing but a good experience with staff in the office and the contractors who have dealt with the problems. I'd particularly like to mention Lauren Jones who was incredibly helpful when I reported my boiler wasn't working at close to midnight yesterday. She responded immediately, which I obviously didn't expect, and helped me fix it straight away. She was very polite and professional, and really went above and beyond to solve my problem. The move residential team were so helpful and efficient in both helping me find and secure my flat. They went out of their way to ensure that the flat that I selected was suitable for my needs. They processed everything quickly and smoothly, keeping me informed at each stage. On moving in, they worked closely with the landlord to make sure the property was clean and beautifully presented. I have had very few issues whilst living in my flat but when I have needed their support they have dealt with everything promptly and ensured good communication between myself and the landlord. They are a fabulous team who provide a professional, yet personalised service.

Clean your properties you might get more interest.

I viewed a property with this company. The house looked completely different to the photos. The garden and yard was disgusting rubbish everywhere and overgrown garden with weeds. The pictures looked glossy like they had done it out all nice and pristine but when I viewed the property it looked well lived in. The windows and front door looked like they hadn't been cleaned for years. The rooms looked way smaller than in the pictures. It's like they used a wide lens camera to make it look bigger. I felt as though I was rushed when I viewed it as someone else turned up to look at it. I was only there 5 mins. The agent seemed keen to get rid of me. The house was well overpriced for the size and state it was in. Very poor service would not recommend.

They undertook countless viewings for what was a low value property, handled numerous offers and achieved best price.
