GoogleAnyone looking to use century 21 as a letting agents? Are you looking to be took the piss out of? Do you want your rent increased? Do you want a cold house with no loft installation to be told its your job to do it not the landlords, if you'd like to avoid all of these down falls then I would avoid using century 21 to rent a home they will leave you a massive report pointing out faults and damages that occured to the property done before you rented the property.
They will blame you for breaking the bath when it was there workmans fault when he carried out a job tried to bill us for a new tap cover and plug as again there worker poured acid down the sinks and touched all the metal so made it off coloured and corroded
broken electric cupboard and gas cupboard outside was both broken before we moved in we pay direct through bank so never once touch them tried to blame us
They will point out surface dust on a radiator cap
They will charge you to clean the oven which I spent £12 on clean products to clean just the oven, it was very clean with odd marks that wouldn't come off almost like new wear and tear should have been accepted
They will charge you to defrost a freezer I never knew was a thing just as long as it is clean I thought as it was built into the kitchen and plug was behind the freezer so impossible to complete also no where in the tenancy agreement does it state to defrost the freezer
They will tell you that you never mopped the floor on the way out when we did, we also left the mop so they could use it to mop the floor between showing possible new tanants the house they will also point out that you left 1 peice of plastic in a drawer and 2 screws on a windowcil
They will tell you that the garden needs attention even though there was no grass when we moved in as workman had left the fence panels on the floor we had used seeds threw the summer buts all as the garden floods when it rains it killed the grass again spent about £30 on seeds in 6 months
they also keep a key and give only one day's notice to gain access to the property also ask to check property when you're in work or out
they have coke head trades man trusted with a key to your property
AND THEIR BIGGEST FAULT THEY WILL UP YOUR RENT WHEN A NEW TENANCY IS DUE
Work we ended up paying for after I terrorised their Facebook for being bums
£5 to clean masking tape off letter box (which doesn't leave sticky marks)
£10 to fill a pin hole in the wall
£65 to clean oven and defrost freezer
£30 to change battery's in smoke alarms
house was left absolutely spotless and in perfect condition and I have a video as proof because I know what these company's are like, but yet this poor excuse of a letting agent have provided for keeping part of our disposit is disgusting I would not recommend using century 21 pointing out pathetic things to keep a percentage of the deposit, my mother is a landlord with multiple propertys and would be more than happy if she received her property back in the way i left century 21s property

Hi Chris, we use an external inventory clerk to carry out an inventory and a check out on a property at the end of the tenancy. I have reviewed the check out, and whilst the property was generally in a good condition, there are a few issues noted on there so I am not sure how you can state the property was "spotless". I am in discussions with your partner (the tenant) regarding the issues raised and we have certainly not retained any deposit, we have merely opened up a discussion regarding the issues raised on the check out. Any dispute would need to go through the correct channels via the DPS as this is where your deposit is held. I would ask that you please refrain from posting slanderous messages and allow us to discuss the issues raised in a professional way with the tenant and I am sure we will reach an amicable conclusion.
