Honest opinion
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. This estate agent was unprofessional and unresponsive throughout the entire process. Communication was slow (if it happened at all), and I constantly had to chase for updates. I felt completely in the dark, and it seemed like they had no real interest in helping or providing a decent level of service.

I view a property which I put an offer in and have been waiting over 3 weeks to hear back I rang then multiple times which they didn’t answer and also didn’t ring me back then I found out today that the property had an offer accepted I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone and when I asked about the building (breeze block) they would contact me back and still didn’t

I was really impressed by professionalism, support and kindness of staff at Widnes/Runcorn office, especially Amy and Oliver. They are there to answer all your queries and go a mile to help in whichever way. I do recommend Widnes office in all aspects of letting and selling issues. Can't thank you both enough. Cheers

Great service and support
Grace was absolutely great from beginning to the end. Personal touch and concern for both buyers and seller made the process much easier. The whole process from setup to launch was well managed. Photo service and marketing helped for a quick sale.

Helpful advice and courtesy when dealing with Gail
Not sure if helpful for most, but in my search for a rental flat that would accept pets (yup, still in 2021) Gail Hines was a pleasure to speak to and whilst I didn't have any viewings or secure a property via Entwistles, Gail was able to advise me on a few things that may help with my search, instead of "No, sorry no pets, good bye" that I received from so many others. Thanks again Gail.

My partner has bought a new build…
My partner has bought a new build through these guys, zero communication, every time she calls they just say the main guy is in a meeting they’ll get him to call her back, never does. Sent emails to the guy & he never replies. Was meant to move in about 3 months ago and still no idea of when the move in date will be. All as it takes would be to email every person updates of where they’re at with a move in date.

Went to view a property today and the property wasn't nice on the inside. Fairly enough! That is something people, like or dislike, it is not a personal thing against someone in specific or an attack to the agency or whoever works there. But I must say If you had a bit of more sympathy and engagement with customers maybe you would have a better reviews...Telling people that they understood wrong what was said by someone from one of their staff its like ignoring the necessities of the customers- like saying to the customers that they are "fools"!You must understand this :CUSTOMERS that GIVES YOU the money in the END of the MONTH! treat them well! Can you please show more empathy for people ?I mean in Britain you are so good faking and lying to each other - you just need to try harder a bit more!Show some empathy for god sake!!!!! And by law you must have everything clean and tidy and well presented!

As a landlord i will rate it as Worst experience. I was on fully managed contract with Entwistle and noticed after few months that I was being charged deposit maintenance fee. When I rang and checked i was told its a standard fee that they charge to maintain deposit even when i have signed up for zero deposit scheme with my tenant. I was told the charges are correct and non refundable. I had to raise a complaint and then those charges were refunded. I had decided to leave Entwistle after end of my contract when I received the invoice for June month and noticed I have been charged CRL exclusive tax. As per their terms and conditions the charge is applied if i ask them to provide the statement for my annual returns which i never asked. My friend is also with Entwistle and he also noticed the same charge applied. Entwistle is refusing to refund those charges even when its wrongly charged. So i wonder how many landlords have been wrongly charged with such charges. Real poor experience and would not recommend. After weeks waiting for a response for my complaint I have been told that they have sent an initial response and if I need to appeal then I need to email customer care manager for final response and then I can take it to ombudsman. I am already in process of contacting ombudsman as I cant wait any longer for customer care manager to come back to me.

Avoid if you can
Don’t answer emails or pick up the phone if they know they may have to have an awkward conversation. Completely misinformed us( I suspect on purpose, you know who you are,Ben!) and have avoided all contact with us since. Their & the vendors loss I’d have been happily have increased my offer by another £15k.

Will never reply to you
Viewed a property beginning of October, had a few questions they didn’t have answer to so had to wait, still waiting for reply, had to find out answers myself. Put offer in, no replies from emails, had phone call week later for final offer. Send emails again cause 2 weeks no answer and still never got a reply from those emails, three weeks after putting in offer got a phonecall to say had gone with a higher offer. They never reply to any communication

Due to the arrival of our new child
Due to the arrival of our new child, the fact that we live Manchester and my wife being diagnosed with cancer, I left the management of my property in Wavertree, Liverpool, in what I assumed were the capable hands of Entwistles, Liverpool Allerton branch. It is only recently with my wife recovery that I've had time to get back on top of things. And what I've uncovered has unravelled into a nightmare.Horrendous mismanagement and possible fraud. In just one case I discovered I'd been charged £500 for repairs that were never carried out. In another case I paid £120 for new mixer tap's that were not installed. When challenged they played dumb were obstructive and unhelpful. Inspection visits were not carried out. New smoke alarms were not installed that I'd requested.I'd lost tenants because they failed to update me with issues. One tenant had contacted the council because repairs to a bathroom toilet arranged by Enwistle were of such a poor quality they had left the toilet a health hazard. I found this out by contacting the tenant myself. My tenant told me she's been complaining to them for months and they claimed I wasn't responding to there requests to authorise new works (Lies). They constantly failed to reply to emails and phone calls, I was charged for services, that I was not subscribing too, despite my phone calls requesting to cancel this and refund me. I could go on.In short horrendous and abysmal service. Avoid, avoid, avoid !!!!

The service my wife and i received from…
The service my wife and i received from the sales and letting staff at Chapel St. in Preston was nothing short of appalling. We were looking for a short let for a 4/5 bedroom house in the region of £900-£1200 pcm (moving from Yorkshire to Preston) only because we had to urgently get our children into new schools before September and the sale of our house in Yorkshire wouldn’t be completed in time. All we asked was for a chat to discuss our needs and them putting us on their mailing list for any new 4/5 bedroom properties coming onto the market. With a buying budget of £320k + we would like to think that they’d at least try and be helpful. They made us feel like second class people, had no time for us and spoke to us in a condescending and judgemental manner. To say we felt like they’d scraped us off their shoe is an UNDERSTATEMENT. We left the Chapel St. premises in Preston in disbelief !!! My wife has impeccable manners and is the nicest and most gentle soul person you’d ever meet and to see her so upset is UNFORGIVABLE. If these people think that this is an acceptable way to run a business then they are seriously deluded.

Just shocking no service at all.
Just shocking. Property management agents should be regulated properly.I am a landlord who handed over my property to be managed by this company whilst a tenant occupied my property. I have just been given my property back since the tenant left and it has been given back in a absolute disgusting state, which is costing me money to put it right when all of it could have been avoided if the managing agent had done their job. No management service was provided in this instance. Avoid, Avoid at all costs unless you want to be the one paying to get your property back after it's been left in a disgusting state. I question where the true references come from.

Worst Branch Manager Experience
Worst Branch Manager ExperienceI had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the worst branch manager ever. Initially, they presented me with a lower offer, which was fine. However, they failed to inform me, their client, that there was also a higher offer. When I mentioned that the initial offer was too low and referred to the valuation they first provided, the manager suddenly presented a second, higher offer from the buyers within seconds. This raised doubts in my mind about the transparency of the offers and made me suspect there might be ulterior motives to push the price down or other incentives at play. The manager was, quite frankly, the worst negotiator I've encountered and was rude and pushy on the phone. The initial valuation and approach by another team member were fine, and things started off well. However, a potential deal was missed due to how the initial offer and negotiation were handled. After two and a half weeks, I emailed another team member to reconsider the negotiations, only to be informed that they had made an offer on another property.Since they came on board as part of a multi-agent arrangement, I haven't had any discussions about the market report, except for a copy sent by email . The personalized client engagement was non-existent. When I informed them of the end of my contract, the branch manager herself asked why. After I explained my reasons, none of my subsequent emails were replied to, except for chasing the removal of their advert. This behavior was completely immature, to say the Least. But after the removal I got sent email contract doesn't end till November - the irony. They didn't bother to inform me of this on my initial email. What was once a good estate agent is no longer for me. I have now returned /remained with my first estate agent, who has been absolutely brilliant throughout years as a customer with them.Personally I do no recommend nor come touch their services ever again. @nearly 4k price tag for their fees, the standard is just awful.

Coutrtwide conveyancing own these guys
My partner bought a house from this estate agents and the people were friendly ok people. The trouble is these guys suggested she use a service fior providing the mortgage and conveyancing from a company called Countrywide as they said it would make life easier, so I agreed! WORST DECISION EVER!!!!!!Countrywide were incompetent in setting up the mortgage and the conveyancing side are incompetent, obstructive and obscenely exspensive. Please please please do not take the estate agents recommendation to use Countrywide!!!!What they estate agent fails to tell you is Countrywide owns the estate agents and they use the agents service as salesmen - it’s not impartial advice it’s salesspeak when they say it will be easier etc it WONT trust me If you see a house you love with this agent, buy it but DO NOT USE COUNTRYWIDE

Eve and team were great
Eve was very helpful, has a friendly personality and gave us the information that we needed at the time. When she said she would ring us back she did. She knows that we wanted 10 Ronwood instead of the one in town and informed us straight way that it was available. All staff were great as well.

Would highly recommend the letting team at the Lancaster Branch, Erin, Shannon & Michael. They have been fantastic in helping us to rent out our flat quickly and effectively. All emails have been answered within 24 hours and they have quickly found services to deal with everything that needed to be sorted out.
