Second move in 2 years and this time I chose to use Berkeley Shaw of Crosby. Compared to the experience in 2024 with another agent, these were far far better, ultra professional, helpful and engaging. The agent Emma, did all of the chasing up for us and kept us informed at every stage. She was superb. Good value on their fees and the listing was excellent. Always good to have a detailed floor plan with high resolution supporting photographs. Would I use Berkeley Shaw again….yes, in a heartbeat. However, hopefully this is our last move for a long long time.

First Class Service - Inclusive to customers. Rachael Doyle is an executive director at Berkeley Shaw Estate Agents and she is a credit to her company. The service we received was first class and she kept us up to date with information at all times and she is so efficient. To be fair, I'd avoid this agency. There are no services for emergency! I've had 3 instances of emergencies where they couldn't care less about the problem. 1. There was an issue with the front door lock. I was locked out of my property on a Saturday morning and had to spend whole weekend + Monday at a friend's because they couldn't send someone in to fix it. 2. The toilet's ceiling was flooding (literally, not leaking) when the neighbour upstairs was showering and this agency didn't blink an eye. I was lucky the agency from upstairs was very responsible and sent someone in immediately. 3. There is a rat in my kitchen, wandering around, eating my food and spreading disease. I don't know if this is not an emergency then what is. It's been a day and the agency is waiting for "consent" from the landlord to send pest contol service!

Do not use this estate agent to rent anything as you will be made to wait to get anything back from your deposit I am being charged for dust on the bathroom skirting and in the shower 3 months after moving out they ignored my calls and told me someone would call back 8 times no one did and eventually told me to call tds for deposit refund. Total scam company stay away from them if you do need to use them beware you won’t get your deposit back in full

I had very good experience from Berkeley shaw. I contacted the company the lady came round and valued the property. I was very happy with the valuation. A professional photographer came around and I was absolutely delighted with the photographs.The write up was 2nd to none. Property went live on Rightmove within 20 minutes I had a telephone call Berkeley Shaw had a viewer for me and within 10 minutes of the man viewing my property my property was sold to a cash buyer for the full asking price. Everything was smooth excellent communication and I would definitely go to this estate agent again if I was buying and selling a property. I would recommend anybody else to do the same. We recently bought our house through Berkeley Shaw. We had some long delays caused by communication issues between the two sets of solicitors (I think they’d both taken on too many clients and didn’t really care about timescales). I spoke to Chris at Berkeley Shaw and she stepped in, leading directly to prompt action and big jumps in progress. She also followed up regularly, ensuring things continued to move forward. I honestly don’t think we’d be in the house yet if it wasn’t for her help - thank you!

Not a great experience as a buyer

Not a great experience as a buyer. I was left hanging as to whether my offer had been accepted and was then told it was subject to financial checks even though I had provided a copy of my mortgage in principle and confirmation I was under offer on my own sale. I was contacted by their financial people who asked for bank statements which I refused as I had my own mortgage offer and deposit from my own sale. Very stressful experience and I had to go into branch in person to ask if my offer had been accepted as no one returned my calls. Even then I was still being told it was subject to financial checks and when I asked what more do you need from me they couldn’t give me an answer. Never had any of this when I bought my first house. Very unprofessional.

Distressing experience

Distressing experience as a buyer. The one star is because they were very pleasant all though the viewings. They were not honest about certain things they knew about and should have disclosed which led to issues later on. Any attempt to question anything was met with dismissiveness yet in a manner that felt heavy handed and like I was unreasonable for asking questions on what is the biggest expense of my life. I understand they work for the seller but empathy costs nothing
