I cannot thank the team at David Lee Estates enough. I found a wonderful little property a few months ago through David Lee estates and they showed a lot of patience and help to get the sale over the line for me and I could not be happier with my little home and cannot wait to start the renovation!! I have to give a massive, massive thak you to Mark who fought my corner for me, negotiating with the seller and keeping her on board unitl the sale went through. I would highly recommend Anna Smith. She offered an exceptional service and went over and above what might normally be expected from an estate agent. Anna did all in her power to help me purchase a property being marketed by David Lee Estate. She even organised a new solicitor when mine proved to be totally inadequate. Unfortunately even though she put so much time and effort into the transaction it fell through just before exchange when my buyers suddenly withdrew their offer and the chain collapsed. I can't thank her enough for all her help and would not hesitate to recommend her. Anna is a great asset to David Lee Estate & Letting Agents.

I have used David Lee a number of times in the past and have always been impressed with the service provided. I dealt with a number of people with regards to viewings etc and all were good. I then had the pleasure to deal with Sam Harwood for the exchange and completion. Despite having a short chain the whole process was painful due to the other agents and buyers/sellers involved. Sam was tenacious and went above and beyond in getting this deal across the line. I wouldn’t use any other agent in the future.

Sold my flat with David Lee which was a lengthy process due to solicitors being solicitors and a young buyer. However this was made less painful with the help of Mark and Sophie who continuously pushed the sale through with the solicitors and chased the buyer. This definitely took some pressure off of me and I cannot thank Mark and Sophie enough for this! David Lee is not a huge estate agents of which you get lost within like other estate agents in Dunmow hence the reason for choosing them. Don't be tempted to go online as this sale 100% would not have been possible without the support and guidance from Sophie and Mark. Thanks so much!

A massive thank you to the teams, both at the Bishop's Stortford and Dunmow branches. We are now in our wonderful new home and this wouldn't have been possible without how they saved us, getting a new buyer within 24 hours, when we lost our buyer (the same day we were about to exchange). Samantha Coughlan, at the Bishop's Stortford branch, really made the whole, very stressful process, so much easier. Karl Graham was in contact with us daily, so professional and friendly, with wonderful aftercare, nothing was to much. We didn't have window keys at our new address and they resolved it straight away, Oliver Cook, at the Dunmow branch, brought them to our door!! We would not be having Christmas in our new home without their amazing service and just to lovely to deal with. We will definitely be using David Lee again!

The best around! Couldn’t recommend Sophie & the team at David Lee’s highly enough. They were approachable, friendly, professional and great throughout our whole selling process. We hadn’t sold before, this was our first house (a new build), so our first experience of really being involved ‘in a chain’. It was daunting and to be quite honest, hard work! But would have been so much harder without the support and guidance from Sophie. Initially we met with Lee and Adam to get a valuation on the house and discuss options. We had met with other Estate Agents and wanted to make sure we chose an Estate Agent who was going to be easy to work with and more importantly honest to work with. We chose David Lee as we felt they filled the bill. We were then passed into the hands of Sophie Coleby (Branch Manager) as our house fell in under the Great Dunmow branches remit. David Lee were quick to promote our property, calling around and ensuring the clients on their books who were looking for a property like ours were informed and aware of the ‘open house’ day to view. Within a week our house was on the market and within 3 days of our ‘open house’ day we had accepted an offer. The top end of the chain (where we were buying) was somewhat complex and a sensitive matter too. Sophie was always at the end of the phone, guiding us through it, being quite frankly the most helpful estate agent of the whole chain! And making sure it ran as smoothly as possible. We genuinely believe if Sophie hadn’t have been our Estate Agent we a) may not have had our offer accepted on our purchasing property and b) the sale ever have completed! It’s fair to say there are different approaches with different Estate Agents and we really feel David Lee have the right blend, their staff are eager (but not pushy in the slightest!), interested (Estate Agents really aren’t always interested in their job!), professional yet very approachable and proactive in what they do. We will most definitely use David Lee again should we decide to move again one day. Thank you Sophie, Lee, Adam and team. You were all great! Keep doing what you’re doing!

We are just about to complete on the purchase of our first house in Bishop Stortford, we used an estate agent to sell our property local to us and the communication from David Lee was more professional and relevant than the agent local to us dealing with our sale. Max and Chris kept us updated with progress but did not hound us like other estate agents - buying and selling a house is the most stressful thing a person can do so I appreciated not being stalked by agents! We were extremely lucky with our purchase as David Lee contacted us before the house went up for sale, knowing that we had soled our house with nothing in the pipeline so a benefit for us as well as them. Max the agent was kind and professional and definitely understood how much we wanted the house. During the legalities Chris kept us informed and did not cause any issues with the communication we had directly with the homeowner, I also understand that David Lee has been very helpful to the homeowner who is an elderly lady finding the process stressful. From start to finish, Sophie @ David Lee in Dunmow held our hand every step of the way, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful and fast to reply to all queries. Sophie even stayed late a few evenings to talk us through what to expect as it was our 1st sale of a property, and Sophie was always honest with us, and gave us some excellent advice with all aspects of our sale and even our purchase from a different Estate Agents? I give Them a Big Thumbs Up, and can highly recommend using David Lee Estates in Dunmow if you are selling or buying a property. David Lee is definitely the best estate agents I have ever been with! Martin Tyler was so helpful in more ways than one, and really went above and beyond to help me out. From the minute I walked into one of their offices I was made to feel comfortable and everyone was very friendly. Unlike other estate agents when it comes to putting money down, Martin didn't pressure me - it definitely made me feel more like I was valued as a person rather than just as money for the agents. Martin kept in constant contact, especially if I had any questions or problems, making sure that everything was done efficiently (which it was!). Honestly the best experience I've had renting with an estate agents, really couldn't recommend David Lee and Martin enough.

I had gone through two previous Estate Agents before it was suggested to try David Lee, which I did that morning. David answered the phone made arrangements to view and take photo's on Tuesday, the property was rented by Saturday. This Estate Agent did MORE FOR ME IN FOUR DAY'S than the previous Agents did in TWO MONTH'S. Firstly I'm not really into writing reviews but due to the outstanding service I received I felt compelled too. Martin was first class from the start I was struggling to find somewhere to live due to my dog and it seemed he spent every minute looking and trying to find somewhere which he did and what a fantastic place. He was on the end of the phone even when office had closed and I could contact him day or night with any issues I had and they would be sorted in an instant. It was a pleasure dealing with David Lee, Martin in particular. We had a house available to rent in Bishops Stortford and had no luck with the agents we advertised it with first. After 2 weeks and only a handful of viewings we put it on with David Lee. Martin was very confident he could rent it ASAP and sure enough, after a few viewings we had an offer from a high quality applicant. David Lee were very supportive in helping us finalise all the required paperwork and even organised a cleaner for us and got an extra set of keys cut for us. We are very pleased with the service we received and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

We were very impressed with David Lee Letting Agents, particularly Ben Fidler who showed us around two potential rental properties. When the first didn't quite meet our requirements he was very proactive and suggested another which might be of interest in the same location: he arranged to have the keys for the second viewing to be delivered by the time we arrived at the property. He was friendly, courteous and informative. That evening he had already contacted the landlord with various questions we had raised and was able to settle our queries. He rang when he said he would ring and set up a call for us with another member of the team regarding a possible purchase.
