All viewings were looked after by the agent, who always kept us updated as to when they took place, what the result was and and any comments from the potential buyers. A very pleasant, helpful and cheerful staff to deal with. Thank you for a successful sale. Clive & Margaret Mason

Photo shopped

I viewed a house via Pygott and Crone that looked good on the brochure, but looked terrible in reality. I know estate agents enhance photos but to photo shop them is not right. The front bedroom window looked good on the photo, just a little too white on the left hand side. It was actually rotten. The shower cubicle also looked good, but that too was full of mold.

Poor Service

Contacted Pygot Crone Holbeach to arrange a viewing of a property we were interested in. Told someone would call back. No call back. Called again and again told someone needs to call back. Again no call back. Called again and was told the property was not on the market the owners were ill and taken off the market. Checked a week later and still on their website and on Rightmove. Called and was told the property was sold. A few days later when my partner called was told the owners were poorly and had been taken off the market for a few months. Also sent 2 emails enquiring about this and another property no response. Terrible service and appear to tell lies or make things up. Shame as we are cash buyers I wonder if the vendors of properties with them realise why they aren't selling

Thank you for the excellent service pre and post sale

Purchase needed a swift turn around- viewed property and had an offer negotiated with vendor to include a chain break within 4-6 weeks. Progress kept on track and were ready to exchange in week 4. Agreed to buy on 29th April and moving 13th June. Thank you for the excellent service pre and post sale.

Great service and managed to arrange a viewing within 24 hours and fortunately for me I was made an offer so, fingers crossed completion will go smoothly. Pygotte & Crone arranged solicitors and everything was completed within good time. Wish I had chose these guys at the start.

It was an absolute joy working with Pygott & Crone

It was an absolute joy working with the Pygott & Crone Estate Agents. The staff I worked with are extremely polite , everybody was really professional & they were always happy to help me with any questions I had when it came to getting my 1st property. I recommend anybody who is buying a home etc to work with this firm because they are really good. This isn't my last time working with them here , I will be back for more in the future. Thank you for everything much appreciated Best Regards - Mr M. Linton

The gentleman, if you can call him that was extremely rude on every single occasion that I spoke with him. He had a bit of a god complex and thought he knew better than everyone else. I dealt with him on 2 different properties and each time he called me a liar. On the 2nd property I spoke with him about he also spoke to my estate agent who said the exact same thing and he even called her a liar, so I know it wasn't just me. There were definitely dodgy things happening with my offers as he must have spoken badly about me to the vendors as an offer higher than another buyer was turned down even though we were in the same position as the other buyer. I wouldn't touch these guys with a barge pole and won't ever contact them about properties they have for sale as they cannot be trusted. Buyers beware.

Pretty disgusted with the Boston people in this Agency. I made a booking on 3rd March to view a property on Monday 7th which meant we would travel for 4 hours to make the reluctantly given time of 3pm. Late Sunday afternoon (6th) I happened to take another look at the property as shown on Rightmove and found it was listed as 'Sold subject to Contract' - Pygott & Crone don't work on a Sunday so that must have happened on Saturday 5th, but they didn't have the decency to let me know either by phone, email or even text. My wife and I could easily have spent 8 hours in the car, wasted goodness knows how many gallons of petrol and paid for our overnight Monday hotel only to find out at 3pm on Monday the property had been sold. That is an appalling way to run a business and shows what they really think of potential customers. My recommendation is 'Don't use them, they'll probably cost you money'

We highly recommend Pygott and Crone estate agents. Every step of the way they explain what’s happening, if you call them always extremely helpful, if you have a query they sort it. All the staff are very professional. Thank you all Jan and Ken Cragg

AVOID !!IF YOU WANT TO SELL YOUR HOME !

If you want your house sold, receive regular updates, receive key facts from the outset, have an agent that promotes your home by attending views, then DO NOT USE THESE ESTSTE AGENTS. 1. Promised regular updates however, we only received updates when we chased them. 2. Key facts not given at outset i,e you pay for photos but only in the small print do you find out you cannot use the photos if you change agents. 3. apparently we have nearly 60 potential buyers matched We had 3 views, so what happened to the rest? ratio shows lack of promotion or is this figure pure speculation? 4. On the market since November 24 not guidance on how to improve chances of sale etc . 5 total lack of confidence in them I will be taking this matter further but AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE !

Pygott & Crone worked tirelessly to sell our home for us recently. It was around 1800s & quite unique but the entire team pulled together to get the viewers through the door. Also, they dealt with the purchase of our new property keeping us up to date all along the way. We'd have no hesitation in using them again or recommending them. Thanks again guys.

We have had a very good experience in selling our property with Pygott & Crone. The house was sold within 3 days of going on the market and they had lots of potential customers for the property. All of the people I have dealt with at the Boston branch have been very helpful and done what they said they would do. Highly recommend them to sell a property

Pygott & Crone are absolutely amazing

Pygott & Crone have been absolutely amazing from start to finish, if i required any information they don't hesitate at all to find things out and help. I personally dealt with Fiona at the Grimsby branch and she has been so helpful. The whole team that were involved were very helpful and i would recommend massively.

Very unhelpful

Buying a house is a stressful experience, and Pygott Crone Grimsby added to the stress. On the day of the move, having driven for 4hrs, I asked if a staff member could meet me at the property with the key. They had no one available. So I drove to Grimsby (a town I had never visited before) and eventually found their office where all members of staff were at their desks. They were very unhelpful and not at all welcoming. Once at the house I was unable to get the gas to work. I called the office and left messages and no one ever called back.

Pygott & Crone Boston kept in touch with me thru the whole process of buying a property they were selling on behalf of their client, nothing was too much trouble for them.

Pygott and crone

We used the Grimsby branch to purchase our new home. They are a great team. Explained each step of the way. Kept us updated during the process. I kept apologising for emailing them or phoning but they always said “don’t apologise “. We couldn’t have been treated any better. We would definitely recommend Pygott and Crone.

A letter sent to Pyott & Crone Boston

A letter sent to P & C Boston last year. The response an "honest mistake" Plus they wanted the £300 fee for ads paid, threatening to take us to court if not paid. This company should not be trusted with the sale of your property, there are conflicts of interest, as they mainly sell to HMO's whoare their business partners hence a lot of repeat business for them. See below the details: "Dear Mr Brooks, We are making a formal complaint to you as we believe that Pygott & Crone are in breach of our contract. From Feb to end of April 2024 Davis has acknowledged that a. An erroneous SOLD sign was in place outside of our property. Which mislead local potential buyers in to believing a sale was completed. b. A FOR SALE sign was not erected outside of our property during this period, in breach of point 3 of our signed contract. Once again passing potential buyers were not made aware of our property's availability for sale. Indeed neighbours in Tower Road believed that it had been sold. C. In breach of point 6 of our contract ,we were not informed by you, either via email, letter or verbally that a potential buyer (an HMO) had shown interest and made an offer. We were informed verbally by Davis Gurton and in your presence when we visited your offices on 11 April to terminate our agreement . d. Your agents Holly and Joe conducted viewings at the property during this period but failed to notify and rectify the presence of an erroneous SOLD sign and the absence of a FOR SALE sign. This is negligence. It is our reasonable opinion that your marketing and sales service only benefited the potential HMO buyer by restricting any potential other buyers and working to achieve the lower price desired by that HMO buyer. We entered into a contract with Pygott & Crone for you to fully market the property and work in our interest as the seller. This contract has not been honoured. On the 11th April 2024, when we both came to speak with Mr Gurton at your Boston office he admitted that an interested party ,an HMO buyer , had said the "figures did not stack up" for him at the price as advertised. Perhaps your £300 bill for professional services should go to this person, as in our reasonable opinion you were working more in his interest, by erroneously mis sign boarding and misleading other possible buyers and consistently attempting to drive the price down." Yours sincerely Matt

Coral Bennett has been incredible at making our house move happen!

We have just had a very long journey to purchase our new property through the Boston office, partly due to an unreliable chain behind us and then the coronavirus lockdown. Coral Bennett at Boston has been fantastic. She has chased everyone and constantly checked back down the chain to find out what was happening and kept us informed every step of the way. She has been efficient and friendly and we don't think we would have actually got to this point where we have exchanged contracts without her perseverance. We can't praise or thank her enough.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Boston Pygott & Crone Estate Agents to sell my house, and I couldn't be more impressed with their service. From start to finish, their professionalism and dedication were evident. My house was on the market for just four days before we received an offer, which speaks volumes about their efficiency and expertise. The team at Pygott & Crone made the entire process seamless and stress-free. They were always available to answer any questions I had and provided valuable guidance throughout. Their marketing strategy was spot on, attracting the right buyers quickly. I highly recommend Pygott & Crone to anyone looking to buy or sell a property. Their commitment to excellent customer service and their ability to deliver results quickly make them the right choice of estate agents in the Boston area. Thank you, Pygott & Crone, for making my home-selling experience so positive!
