We couldn’t have been happier with the service from Pygott & Crone. They sold our house before it had even officially gone to market, with their efficiency and proactive approach. The whole team was friendly, professional and always on the ball. Communication was excellent throughout, and the entire process was handled smoothly with no hiccups at all. A special mention goes to Lee, the photographer, whose attention to detail was outstanding and the photographs superb. A very important aspect of the house selling process in my book. Also, thank you to Tommy Johnson, our Residential Valuer, whose professionalism, knowledge and enthusiasm gave us confidence from the very start. The marketing was first-class and made a real difference. The experience was chalk and cheese compared with another estate agency we used last year, where we had poor communication, very little proactive input and, ultimately, no results. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pygott & Crone to anyone looking to sell their home.

P/c Spalding So,I,m a cash buyer ready to go but,... P/c insist on seeing who I,m selling my current home with!!!! Why.???? It seems to me that they don't trust me. So,I cannot buy a home through them because they don't have some irrelevant info. Rules is rules, so, unfortunately the vendor has lost a prospective sale,and good old p/ c have missed out on their commission. Still,we must stick to the rules mustn't we. I have not encountered this with other estate agents. Go elsewhere is my advice.

Millie showed us round the house and she arrived in good time. She was friendly, kind and able to answer our questions. During the negotiation phase Millie was very professional and gave good advice, explained everything and subsequently helped me complete the necessary forms. On the market for 2 years, 8 viewings

On the market for 2 years, 8 viewings, little feedback or thoughts about what might be preventing more interest. We asked for new details, we suggested dropping the price, we drove all the thought on how to get things moving. Viewings were often at short notice, unqualified leads either not looking in the area or hadnt an interest in our property but had been convinced to view it. Rarely anyone available to do the viewings so we had to - not ideal. When someone was available, they knew nothing of the area, property etc. Useless. When we finally left them, all they were interested in was the £300 to cover the photo/energy costs. You'll be hard pushed to find an estate agent less interested in finding the right buyer, openly saying beyond putting it on the Internet, there's little influence they can have. They need to refresh their understanding of what sales is. They act more like a checkout assistant than an estate agent. Seller beware dont even bother.....

Really disappointed with Pygott & Crone. As a long-standing Lincoln estate agency, I expected far better professionalism. We viewed a property, made an offer below the asking price due to visible cracks and signs of movement and repeatedly asked for proof or guarantees that any subsidence work was done correctly (by phone and email). Our request was refused and all further messages were ignored. The property is now SSTC, but the advert still doesn’t mention these potential structural issues. I’m concerned the new buyers haven’t been properly informed. Although i obviously cant find out prior I will be contacting the new owners once they move in to share my evidence and experience. Hopefully they will get some compensation to rectify issues.

Poor estate agent

We have experienced extremely long delays and very poor communication throughout this process. We have been waiting since 6 October to complete on our house, with little to no meaningful progress. We were told that the case had been escalated to a senior case worker, but nothing changed and no improvements were made. Updates were minimal and often required chasing, which added unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Emily at Pygott and Crone was incredible with the process of our sale and purchase. Always on hand when I had any queries or worry. It’s been a stressful process as the sale fell through 2 months after offer got accepted , and she managed to find another buyer for our house within a matter of days. She’s friendly, knowledgeable and even offered to go the extra mile and call third parties involved for us to speed the process up. Everyone else in the team who have helped while Emily has been out of office, have also been incredible and really helpful. We would happily use Pygott and Crone again, and definitely worth the extra money compared to other estate agents! We used AJ for our new mortgage and he has also been amazing and so friendly. I couldn’t be happier with the service I’ve received from Pygott & Crone. They managed to sell my property on the first working day after the advert went live, which was an amazing result and far quicker than I expected. We got in touch with Pygott & Crone following seeing a house we wanted to view. Edward called back on the same day and booked us in for when we were next available. We then became available before so rung back up to change the date and they were really flexible and got us in earlier. Edward has been incredible to speak to, he’s been informative and has offered us other properties to look at which met our requirements. He was prompt booking the viewings in and answering any questions. Emily was very helpful in providing answers to questions I had about a property which assisted us in making an offer. Emma was an absolute delight showing us round, she was very informative, friendly and polite. She put our offer in straight away and Edward handled the negotiations incredibly well. They’ve been a pleasure to work with in our first step of home buying. Thank you all so much. An additional edit as of 12 August 2025: We have been working with Alisha for a couple of weeks from Pygott & Crone as she has been our go-between on behalf of the sellers for the property we’re purchasing. Alisha has been really helpful throughout the process replying to emails quickly and updating us every week on what was outstanding. She has managed to maintain this level of communication despite how busy she is and we are really grateful for how attentive she has been with us throughout the process. Towards the end of the process, she made sure we were well aware of if there would be any hiccups and kept us updated for the eventual completion date. We genuinely couldn’t be happier with the response we’ve received from all the staff we’ve worked with at Pygott & Crone but especially Alisha, Ed, Emily & Emma.
