I genuinely wish I had something positive to say about our experience with Mundys, but unfortunately I don't.
The only good thing to come out of the whole process was finding our bungalow. Everything after that was stressful and disappointing.
As first-time buyers, buying our first home should have been one of the happiest times of our lives. Instead, it became months of chasing people, unnecessary delays and constant stress. We often felt like we were doing the estate agent's job ourselves.
Communication was almost non-existent. We rarely received updates unless we chased them ourselves, and I ended up speaking directly with the seller on multiple occasions because nothing seemed to be moving. We actually built a great relationship with the seller, which says a lot considering that should never have been necessary.
The most frustrating part was that we were due to complete on **22nd May**, but everything was thrown into chaos after an allegation was made that I had somehow influenced the seller into agreeing a completion date. This simply wasn't true. The delay that followed cost us money, caused a huge amount of unnecessary stress and had a real impact on both of us, mentally and physically.
To top it all off, completion day, which should have been exciting, was incredibly underwhelming. There wasn't even a "congratulations on your new home." After everything we'd been through, that summed up the whole experience.
I'm not someone who leaves negative reviews lightly, but I honestly couldn't recommend Mundys based on our experience. We expected guidance, communication and support through one of the biggest milestones of our lives. Instead, we were left feeling frustrated, exhausted and completely let down.
I sincerely hope no other first-time buyers have to go through the experience we had.

GoogleThey overpriced the house, we put the house on the market with the value THEY gave us only to be told a few weeks later to drop the price by £25k. They couldn't understand my disappointment when I told them it was THEM who told us it was worth the value they gave us and now why would they want us to drop it by £25k. Also we were told the estate agents fees were a % of the sale price only to find out later there was a set lower limit fixed price which obviously was a lot more than the % of the house value, they clearly need more training on what their own company offer to people, but then again I think they know what they are doing, conning people to go with them, then everything changes. My own fault for staying with them I should have gone elsewhere but with all what the family had been through we just wanted the property sold. I would not recommend this company and would never use them myself again.
