The initial turnaround was great, my home was live within days, featuring a fantastic write up, professional photography, and a 360 tour. Absolutely brilliant and professional service by First Choice Move with no fuss and no marketing lies as can be the case with other agents in the area. I say this because I have used competitors previously promising all sorts of personalised service. These were all words and no action. Anyway, Rant is over, now about First Choice employees. Sarah has been working on our sale. She has been amazing, and this is not about being nice and respectful only, Sarah was one step ahead, providing updates without being chased. She was super pro-active and one step ahead every single time. Many times, I intended to ask something as per my scheduled follow up reminders. However, 9 out of 10 times answers were already in my inbox even before I asked . Super-duper work Sarah. I am pretty sure that buyers also had amazing experience from Sarah as buyer told me in person that they were super happy with Sarah and First Choice Move. Employee’s ethics are brilliant. However, sustaining such ethics and commitment over the long-term period is the tell-tell sign of great leadership i.e. Chris Perkins. I have been burnt in the past so my advice by way of this review is that there is no other choice in West Cumbria except the only choice which is First Choice Move, lived up to its name. We sold our house and engaged mainly with Ben as an estate agent. From the start, the commitment was amazing. I rang and asked to urgently sell our house on a Friday, by Monday, photos were being taken by the owner of the company, Chris, during his annual leave at 9AM. The property was listed on Tuesday and sold by Saturday. There were faults along the way with the sale, but this was absolutely not First Choice's fault. They negotiated everything perfectly and managed to keep the situation humourous which was often needed! Honestly, value for money, flawless. But even if you put this against some of the more 'luxury' estate agents, the service we got from First Choice Move would eclipse. Fantastic work from their team. Will definitely use again.

We recently sold our home with First Choice Move and honestly have nothing but praise for the whole team - they’ve been incredible from start to finish. Chris was so lovely at our initial valuation. He explained everything clearly, put us at ease straight away, and we decided to go ahead. Things moved so quickly after that. Within a few hours, Chris had created a sneak peek using footage from our home and posted it to social media. Minutes later, someone rang to book a viewing, and within a couple of hours we had multiple viewings lined up. Our very first viewing ended up buying the house - it never even made it to the market! We were absolutely over the moon. Throughout the whole process, First Choice Move were fantastic. They always answered the phone or got back to us quickly, supported us through every step, and made everything feel so much easier. Helena in particular went above and beyond for us - even helping with issues outside of their remit involving solicitors and other sale complications. We genuinely couldn’t have progressed the way we did without her. She was amazing. The customer service from everyone we spoke to was brilliant. Even after handing over the keys, we received two follow-up calls just to congratulate us and make sure everything had gone smoothly. It’s clear they genuinely care, and that means a lot. 10/10 - we would recommend them to absolutely everyone. A fab team providing fab service. The team at First Choice handled the sale of our house in West Cumbria, and did a brilliant job for a very competitive fee. When we were let down by our initial buyers at the last minute (no explanation), First Choice pulled out all the stops to find us new buyers, including putting together a completely new Right Move listing at no extra charge. All the team were efficient, friendly and professional, and nothing was too much trouble for them. In particular though, we would like to thank the amazing efforts of Ben Woolford, who mainly handled our sale, and Andra (one of the directors) who stepped in to give additional help when our first sale fell through. Many estate agents (perhaps understandably) have a poor reputation among the general public. But First Choice Move is NOT a run of the mill agent, and we would recommend them to anyone considering selling a house in West Cumbria without hesitation. If you want a pleasant experience of moving while going through what is a stressful time, use First Choice Move. We fell in love with a property and Vicky was extremely helpful in helping us purchase it. I had never sold a house to buy one, but Vicky was there to explain everything to me and help get things organised. Within 2 weeks of selling my property, Vicky was able to put my offer through and it was accepted! Then the real work started. Between my phone calls and my other estate, Vicky and the rest of the team were able to get everything done in 3 months. From letting the Surveyor in the property to helping get information from the vendor, it was like a well oiled machine. After moving in, Vicki left us a wonderful Welcome Home card. From the outset the First Choice Move staff were brilliant. Very professional staff but also approachable and explained the stages of selling a property and the fees involved. We had viewings straight away, their advertising platforms on social media etc certainly opens the property market and its possibilities up to everyone. The first sale fell through due to the buyer but First Choice Moves were back on to us straight away and the property was put straight back on the market. They definitely did a great job with phone calls/emails, always communicating. We would without a doubt use First Choice Moves in the future and highly recommend them to future sellers. To our surprise and disappointment, we quickly discovered their negative and discriminatory practises with minimal support at stressful times during the sales process. We first called them to come and value our house on the 17th of May. From the outset the valuer was negative about our house, pointing out only the flaws rather than acknowledging all the work we had done (complete new electrical system and junction box, new hot water system, shed, new radiators, new windows and a new bathroom). The valuer lacked enthusiasm and was very negative and dismissive of my wifes points (whom was on the phone) around all the work that had been done and talked down the property. We agreed to proceed with a valuation of £119, 995. However we were informed that if the price was too high it could be devalued as a previous property had been by a surveyor and used a recent example. On the 22nd of May we had 2 viewings booked. The first arrived with partner, did not introduce themselves to my wife and immediately started talking about dropping the price and a previous experience where there were 'serious structural defects' from a previous attempt to buy a house and complained how the vendor would not drop the price. As soon as they had left they offered the much lower price of £113,000 which we could not accept. I was clear that I would not accept the much lower offer and proposed £115,000 which was accepted. From there things only got worse. The Banks surveyor was happy with the price, however the buyer decided that they wanted a Home Buyers report, which was we were to discover, was solely to pressure us to drop the price even lower. My wife and I called First Choice at around 4pm to discuss this request and our concerns were completely ignored and all we were told was if we did not agree to this survey the sale would not go ahead. My wife felt particularly aggrieved as she is of African origin and the representative from First Choice repeatedly spoke over her and stated that she could not understand her and combined with the previous treatment of the second couple whom viewed our house demonstrated concerning and discriminatory practises from the company. However, the Home Buyers Report went ahead and again on the 15th of June the results came through from the buyer with only concerns being shown which we were able to answer all but one of them but were informed that a 3rd survey would need to take place, this time for damp. Again I queried this due to the disruption it was causing to us as we both work and we had to continually change our schedules to accomodate these demands. However again to our surprise we were informed that should it not happen, the sale would fall through. By this point, my wife and I felt totally unsupported and it was clear that First Choice were supporting the buyer rather than us and we were alone in this process. However on the morning of the 25th of June, the damp survey took place and the rep stated that the work would cost £4000. To our total shock, on the 28th of June, the buyer again sent through a mere snippet of the report with a costing of £8000 to First Choice, expecting us to drop the price by £8000. It was ignored that £5000 had already been given off as a gesture of good will and by this point we had had enough and issued an ultimatum of a final price of £113,000. The buyer (much to our relief) decided not to proceed and to the clear disappointment of First Choice we requested the property be placed back on the market. On the 4th of July and my wife and I had had enough and called First Choice and requested the property be withdrawn from the market as we were going to relist with a different estate agent. I am glad we did this as with the new estate agent we got the price we wanted with the minimum of stress. First Choice clearly prioritised our buyer and at times my wife and I were in tears during the process and there was no support from them for us and clearly we were small fry to them.

Can't fault first choice move. Great communication and service all the way through. They gave a fair estimation of my property and broke down why they believe it would be priced at that range. My property ended up selling right on the top end of that estimate so I was more than happy. They outlined all the fees and gave me a copy so I knew what to expect. They kept contact all the way through, all their staff members were very helpful and polite.They answered all my questions as it was my first time selling a property and was patient with any uncertainties I had. All pictures were done to a professional standard and really showed off the property in its best light. Right down to handing over they keys they gave me courtesy calls and updates as to what was going on. They even gave suggestions of professional solicitors and advisors all which made the process a lot easier. Couldn't recommend a better estate agents.
