Thankyou Ken, you are a credit to Elan Homes...

I first enquired back in January 2022 when I put what I thought would be my forever home on the market & was going through a breakup after 7years. I met with Ken from Elan Homes, Balmoral Gardens who has been with me every step of the way. Ken has been amazing throughout the whole process from enquiring to reserving the plot to making the purchase. He has been so helpful and reassuring. Ken made what was a sad and very stressful situation, the easiest and I will be forever grateful. Ken was always updating me and was always available at the end of the phone/email. I reserved the plot I wanted not long after I enquired and then had a nightmare with having to change Solicitors right before exchange (this was through no fault of Elans!) but Ken came to the rescue and recommended a Solicitor, and everything was just brilliant. I finally completed this week and picked up my keys to my new build! I will be in before Christmas and I cannot wait for a fresh start! None of this would have been possible without the brilliant team at Elan Homes, Balmoral Gardens, especially Ken - who even took the time to help me pick out my bathroom tiles and kitchen! Thankyou Ken, you are a credit to Elan Homes and it's been a pleasure getting to know you!

Ken at Balmoral gardens like the rest of the Elan team were, and continue to be, very supportive, constructive and helpful throughout the purchase and sale of our houses which turned out to be more complex and difficult than expected.Some stress due to efficiency issues with Elan solicitors were handled effectively.The house finish is to an excellent standard with few snagging issues which have been quickly resolved.Nothing but praise for Ken and the team. A fine start.

I’m first time buyer - Elan Homes - Balmoral Garden- Southport

I’m first time buyer and it was really great experience with Elan Homes team. They explained everything in detail and provided suggestion/available options in each stage. When I requested for any clarification, I got quick response from the team and it helped me to take decisions on time. Great Journey from House to Home!

It was a great and Smooth journey from Reserving the Plot till the Completion. Sales Manager Jonathan Sinnot was on top of this sale working closely with us, management and the site manager. We almost had a call every two days in the last 3 month, he has pragmatic approach and kept us informed and engaged throughout.Now we are happily moved into our new home enjoying the sun in our Garden and morning walking in the Beautiful green Golf course.

Great customer service, poor workmanship

Great start to the purchase of our property in Ramsbottom thanks to our friendly and helpful sales advisor Hilary. Unfortunately Hilary left the company 2 months before legal completion and all communications, photos and updates stopped. Final completion was shambolic due to greedy Directors wanting the sale in before the December year-end. The house had clearly not been snagged by Elan, per their own procedures, as the kitchen was unfinished and there were other glaring issues.Our site manager Peter was friendly, understanding and helpful. However he was inundated with snag lists from us and other owners who were all rushed to complete at the same time, so it took a while to get everything fixed. Not his fault, he was put under immense pressure.We had no major snags but we were extremely disappointed with the standard of finish on our property given the high price tag. In particular plastering and decorating were slapdash and if we had hired these tradesmen personally they would not have been paid. Elan seem to have set unrealistic deadlines for their tradesmen resulting in shoddy work.Our experience with Customer Services was a positive one. Our main contact was Vikki who was very polite, friendly and helpful. Communication was great and we developed a good relationship with her. Our final issues took a while to resolve due to availability of tradesmen but Vikki did not take her eye off the ball. No complaints at all in this area.Overall we are really happy with our house which is in a great location with fabulous views.

We are delighted with our new home in Wrea Green. The quality of the home is very high and we look forward to many happy years here. We moved into our new home in May 2022 and we couldn’t be happier. Jonathan was so helpful from start to finish, keeping us updated throughout the process. Since moving into the property three weeks ago, the site managers have also been amazing and really quick to work on our snag list. There is always someone on hand to help with any issues we have or answer any questions for us. We would highly recommend anyone looking at purchasing a new build home to go with Elan Homes as they have been excellent!

Our beautiful Chadderton Elan Home

We are over the moon with our new Elan home, it is beautiful.The whole process and move has been made simple by Jonathan and the team. We know if there is anything we needed we could contact him and he would help sort it straight away. There has been some slight hiccups along the way but Jonathan and the site team have worked hard to rectify these as quickly as possible. We would highly recommend anyone looking to move on to our development to do as they would be more than happy with the house they purchase they receive and the service that comes with it!

Ken makes a real difference

My wife and I were struggling to find a home on the open market and on the off chance we contacted elan to find out some information. At the time nothing was available but Ken was more than helpful and as soon as he knew a suitable property was coming up he called us and arranged the early bird deal to secure our plot. We are just waiting for the mortgage to be approved and we should be exchanging on our brand new home. Ken is an absolute diamond, very knowledgable and honest. I couldn’t recommend elan or Ken enough and will certainly be recommending any friends or family who are looking to purchase a new home.

We have recently purchased our home through Elan homes (due to complete Aug 2022) and have both been extremely happy with the quality of workmanship and finishes shown to us by Elan both on paper and on the actual site. Balmoral Gardens

Site - Balmoral Gardens. In short, the build quality is excellent and we are now settling into our new home.The longer version. Sales, Ken has been a total professional throughout, but that’s only half the story. He has acknowledged and ensured we were protected (one of us is extremely vulnerable to Covid), but also warm and friendly throughout, going above and beyond to help our chain complete and then providing a zero contact handover on the day of completion.All site crew have been a pleasure to deal with. We have some minor works to be completed (fitted wardrobe etc), and some minor snags. George the Assistant Site Manager was in touch straight away, even noticing things we hadn’t noticed to fix and has made himself available to deal with everything we need. I was about to take a pile of rubbish to the tip and he stepped in and said he’d take it away!Elan are clearly a quality outfit, and we highly recommend. The location as well as the build is superb and I can honestly say, it’s a real privilege to now live in our dream house! Thanks!

Worst decision of our lives believing…

Worst decision of our lives believing the lies this company of cowboys tell you customer care is shocking standard of work shocking the sales will tell you anything you want to hear to get you to sign but they do not tell you about hidden covenants ! DO NOT believe them when they tell you you must use one of their buddy solicitors that is a complete lie use your own or pay the price like we have done ! How anyone in this company sleeps at night is beyond me they are crooks liars and cowboys . I hope they rot in hell !!!! What ever you do make sure you fully read the toxic contracts these cowboys give you because the solicitors they insist you use are working for them even though your paying go over the contract in detail and anything you do not understand get an independent solicitor to explain otherwise believe me your lives will be wrecked like ours were ! There is not one person in this company with any moral compass they are full of lies and poor service and poor builders we have 5 leaks on one bath we have had them retake the shower and have had to rip it out and re install properly they just do not care 😡response !!! Don’t tell lies this development was only completed less than a year ago with still some outstanding issues ! The way you cowboys deal with customers at developments is individual and you do not let other resident become aware of each other’s issues which mount up ! You get away with this by saying we cannot discuss other issues due to privacy I would like to offer anyone thinking of buying from you the opportunity to come to my house and see first hand the shoddy workmanship the non existing customer care and the lies your sales people tell the victims like ourselves ! You wreck lives over profit you are nothing but scum and are a total disgrace I certainly hope karma gets to each and everyone of your company who is party to this and I hope your lives are wrecked like ours have been ! And I can catagorically state there is in no way a 90 % satisfaction rate on aigburth grange anyone wanting to see this can come to my address at number 1 . Great start disappointing aftercare.

The process of purchasing our home was great. This due to the efficiency of Kate in the sales office. From start to finish she was on the ball and making sure all documents were signed or chased up etc and we were in the house as soon as we possibly could be. She allowed us to view the plot when we asked and was very patient with us. She always stuck to her word and any queries were chased up and dealt with. Thanks Kate. If it wasn’t for Kate the review would be a much lower score - The biggest complaint we have is with the after care, elan customer service, the site manager and snags with our property. Continuous emails to chase up outstanding work, fobbed off with excuses and told we’ve got to wait to decide who’s going to take the blame for any of the problems. Quite frankly this is not our concern and had jobs been done correctly in the first place then there wouldn’t even be an issue. Some work has taken over 12 months to be rectified so ensure you keep chasing to ensure they are sorting anything you need to have corrected on your property, otherwise you’ll just be brushed under the carpet. Don’t be fobbed off by the excuses or that the work is to standard. Check with the NHBC and the standards the house should have been built to, to reinforce your argument. We’re pleased with the house itself and the finish overall and feel very settled and will be pleased once our o/s work is finalised.

Excellent service and honest advice

We are first time buyers looking to get on the property ladder and Elan Homes have made this process very easy and comfortable. We dealt with Jonathon from the get go who was really helpful with the information we required via phone calls and emails etc. At the viewings we didn’t feel pressured to purchase and all the questions we asked we answered honestly. Ken was also with Jonathon at the viewings and he was just as helpful, honest and friendly. Would highly recommend so far :)

Kenneth Bracewell-Murray -He’s a top guy!!

Kenneth Bracewell-Murray the Elan Sales Representative was fantastic from start to finish. Ken assisted us in the early days by showing us the site plans and explaining in detail how the development would look. This really helped us visualise the houses and decide on the plot that we wanted. Ken’s vast experience in this industry meant that he could help us through the process of buying off plan and he worked closely with my solicitor to get us in the house for the date that we wanted. From the selection of tiles for the floors and bathrooms to the choice of kitchen colour and worktops Ken was ultra professional throughout and a credit to the company. He was even there on our moving in day with flowers, what a lovely touch!

When we saw Elan Homes were advertising new build houses where we wanted to buy we were a bit skeptical as we hadn’t heard of the developers before however we did our research and despite a couple of bad reviews we decided to pursue purchasing our house with them.I would definitely recommend Elan homes as a developer. They have always sorted out any minor issues quickly and effectively.We have encountered issues (beyond Elan Homes’ control) and our sales executive William Grey (Billy) has been absolutely brilliant, he has always helped us out and fought for us when we needed it, he is a fantastic sales executive, always at the end of the phone and a very friendly face who will go above and beyond to help his clients. We couldn’t thank Billy enough for everything he has done for us during the process as well as after the purchase of our home. We would not be where we are without Billy’s help and support - he is worth his weight in gold! So a massive thankyou to Billy!

Do Not Buy From This Company.

House purchased from Elan Homes in Loggerheads. The sales rep on site has been consistently rude and very unhelpful in every way she possibly could be. She delayed my viewings, arranged for me to pay a reservation fee to her stand in who knew nothing about it and didn’t know how to take a reservation fee, then after weeks of chasing her she advised me it was too late to ask for any extras. It was too late because she had created consistent delays. A complaint to Customer Services was completely dismissed and disregarded. Buying a new house was supposed to be a happy experience. It wasn’t.Elan Homes Response below. This is a joke! No one answers the phone. There is a recorded message to leave your number and then NO ONE returns your call. So I reiterate, DI NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Elan Home Avoid this company

We bought new ELAN home13 months ago. Tiles were damaged so a very disgruntled tiler came to replace them He and his colleague proceeded to smash the tiles with a hammer, this resulted in damaged walls and cupboards. Then two other ELAN guys came so now 4 of them stomping around the kitchen all over the rubble resulting in very badly scratched tiles. ELAN have agreed to replace the tiles 31 however they only have 11 that will match. The rest will be a close match. They have already put two unmatched tiles down previously and they really stand out Our floor will look like a chess board. You would expect ELAN to replace the whole floor as it is down to their neglect. Absolutely shocking!!!
