As first time buyers MANN - Sydenham has been amazing, they really took us through each step and answered any questions we had (we had a load of questions). We mainly liaised with Monica, Clive and Scott on our purchase. I can’t even begin to explain the excellent customer service we received form the team, they always emailed back any queries we had in a timely manner and made sure we were always kept updated with what was going on with the property weather it was the smallest or biggest change. I really respect how they work as a team. This is just the service we received during our journey, before we first viewed the property from the instant call I had with Clive I really could see this as being our home before we even saw the flat, he was so positive and really cared about what we were looking for. On our first visit Clive took all precautions to make us feel safe and welcome. Clive and Monica were always there to give me an answer/advice on any queries we had (and we had a few!). I am so glad I fell into the hands of such an amazing team. My work colleagues heard one of my conversations with Clive and she said wow your estate agent really likes you, I knew then I was in safe hands. At the end of the day I know this was a purchase but we have built such a great relationship with the team. Again as a first time buyer I was over the moon with the experience I had, I know for any future dealings I will stick with the MANN team at Sydenham.PositiveProfessionalism

We had a wonderful experience with Clive and Monica. It felt like they had our best interests at heart throughout this whole process and where there for us 100%. Clive went out of his way for us to make sure we were taken care of. He came in on his days off, gave us all the time we needed to explain everything to us and was totally transparent with all of the feedback. He made us feel like we were his top priority. He had faith in us and our property and that was clear from the start. We really appreciated this personal touch and really felt like we were dealing with a trusted friend! Lewisham branch were appalling. I offered on a house to buy but my offer was not put forward for three days despite being told that it had to be put forward to the vendors on the day it came in. I phoned several times and was repeatedly told that they were 'just about to put it to the vendors', but it was clear they were waiting for another offer from a buyer that was represented by a different agent (Kyle). I was in a proceedable position and came forward with a serious offer. Kyle was rude and unpleasant. Would avoid at all costs.

Deeply Disappointing Experience, Strood Mann Sales and Letting Agents

Our experience with Mann Sales and Letting Agents Strood has been deeply disappointing. As someone with experience in leadership, I can confidently say that the issues my family faced clearly stem from leadership, as the agency has failed to take accountability for their poor service. The signs were there from the very first calls and continued all the way through. Appointment punctuality and coordination were major issues from the beginning. Scheduled viewings were consistently delayed, leaving us in uncomfortable situations and forcing us to personally show prospective buyers around our property. This lack of punctuality and disregard for our concerns was unacceptable. This not only inconvenienced us but also left us feeling uncomfortable and vulnerable. Moreover, prospective buyers also expressed dissatisfaction with their poor experience e.g left waiting outside properties, unclear instructions and poor communication.Transparency regarding the terms of the sole agency contract was also lacking. Critical details, such as the length of the agreement, were not adequately discussed, leaving us feeling misled and questioning the integrity of the process.Furthermore, the advertising of our property on Rightmove and other platforms was subpar. We were left to request enhancements and updates, reflecting poorly on the agency's commitment to effective marketing.Despite our attempts to address these issues, the agency has refused to take responsibility and has closed ranks. Even after following the 'official' complaints process, they have refused to allow us to alter the length of the contract or even to move to a multi-agency agreement, which is a basic and straightforward solution that can easily be done and has been advised by other professionals in the industry.I strongly caution against entrusting your property sale to Mann Sales and Letting Agents Strood. Should you decide to proceed with them, heed this advice: never concede to a sole agency contract, demand meticulous attention to the advertising of your property, and scrutinise every detail of the contract, particularly its duration. I firmly advocate for a contract length of no more than 4 weeks or 28 days. Furthermore, be resolute in avoiding coercion into utilising their in-house financial services. Despite our repeated insistence on retaining our trusted brokers, Mann Co persistently pressured us until we were compelled to inquire whether our decision to use our own brokers would pose a problem, emphasising the importance of asserting your preferences firmly.Overall, our experience has been disappointing, and we hope our feedback prompts Mann Sales and Letting Agents to reassess their practices, processes, and procedures and strive for improvement in the future. Now, we find ourselves left to wait out the length of the contract as they refuse to alter it. As a family with two young children, aged 2 and 4, it's evident that our needs have been consistently overlooked and disregarded throughout this entire ordeal.

Initially we met both viewing different properties and despite these not working out for us, they took in everything we were looking for. A few weeks later a house that suited us much more went back on the market and they got in touch immediately, helping us to put in a very quick offer. We just bought a house via Mann in Sydenham. We had a very stressful chain behind us and Mann were really proactive at helping us to keep the momentum up to buy in record time. They were flexible in letting us in as often as we needed and to have electricians, plumbers and glazing people attend. This was the 3rd house we'd tried to buy with the same chain behind us and we're so grateful it was Mann selling rather than another high street agent that made life extremely difficult for us with the other purchases, that consequently collapsed.

Mann did a good job of handling our purchase in what was quite difficult circumstances due to a probate situation. Although everything didn’t go 100% smoothly the team did their best to guide everything through to a successful close. Worst estate agent (£1200 not refunded)

Worst estate agent, whole company is full of scam (its mortgage advice, solicitor panel). They have taken advance payment of £399 for solicitor search and £798 for mortgage for my potential buy. Later the seller pulled from process and I have asked for refund, but they are not refunding my money. This is worst company in the UK to deal with property, mortgage, solicitor panel.

This has been a joke! I moved into a managed property 2 years ago and since then we have at least 3 different property managers. I would email with an issue only to get a response a month later that the person was not working there anymore and no one would ever follow it up!! When moving out of the property on the day of the check-out, I sent a formal request for the return of the deposit and still to this day A MONTH later, we haven't received anything. I have been calling and emailing and I've been ignored and lied to. I'm very disappointed in the service as Doug was really nice when he showed us the house 2 years ago.

I can't say enough nice things about the staff of Mann Countrywide Lettings. Doug our estate agent, was diligent and trustworthy. He was intrumental in getting us into our new flat for the right price and for exactly what we wanted. After the relatively short wait to see if the landlord accepted our application (again I'm sure Doug was instrumental in his acceptance) we had to deal with Hazel who managed our references, scheduling of signature and the key exchange. She was as great to work with as Doug. Friendly and helpful with the due dilligence process. I would highly recommend them to any of my colleagues looking to move.
