Excellent experience with Hunters

We had an excellent experience with Hunters from start to finish. Richard, Brenda and Adam were fantastic throughout the entire process - always responsive, easy to contact, and happy to help with any questions we had. Everything ran smoothly with no issues at all, and their professionalism and communication made a potentially stressful process much easier. We would highly recommend Hunters to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.

One of my worst experience buying a house from hunters

One of my worst experience buying a house from hunters auction. House was listed on website and tenanted for a fixed amount of rent which I was told by the auction agent called Robert. Also house was in bad state but got told tenants don’t care so why do you. Only to find out later on that tenants have never paid anywhere near that amount and it’s so much lower. So was lied to first of all and then later to meet the tenants and for them to tell us all the work they was promised and they wanted the house fixing top to bottom. What an absolute joke and waste of time and money. Keep your money and go elsewhere they will tell you anything just to sell a house that is overpriced

Rude, poor service - a must avoid for renters

Rude, get passed around from pillar to post while they try to ignore your requests or questions. Tried for years to get them to fix things but just continually fell on deaf ears. Now they're trying to claim issues are my fault which are down to shoddy contractors (which they use consistently, including at one point despite having had yearly gas checks, I get told that the previous 6 years hasn't been done properly and the build up that caused a leak was because of this. Everything is everyone's issue but theirs. Renters, avoid at all costs!

I used Hunters Lee as managing agents and I would not recommend them. They acted for the tenant largely, and at times I felt bullied by the ridiculous requests they made. For instance the tenant broke the toilet seat, this cost nearly £100 to replace (yes I understand London workmen are expensive), within 6 months the seat was broken again and I was expected to pay another £100 to replace. I did point out that either the tenant had not looked after said toilet seat, or the workmen they used were of poor quality, I suggested they needed to work out which it was. I have finally managed to evict the tenant at great expense to me, and Vikram and his team have offered no help in getting back our deposit even though the tenant left owing me lots of money. Do not use as a managing agent.

Awful customer service

I remain deeply disappointed in the way my most recent complaint has been handled at their Newcastle branch. The way the branch manager speaks to tenants is appalling! If you have a complaint then don’t expect any sympathy or accountability. We have rented this property for 11 years and in that time, we have been superb tenants but sadly that doesn’t mean anything to them. I anticipate a reply to this which will more than likely attempt to completely contradict what I’ve written here but just know that our experience has not been a positive one!

1 bed property Sparks Close, Dagenham, RM8 - Landlord and hunters agent where complicit in illegal procedures regarding discrimination. We went through all the paper work and wasted 2 weeks till they call me and tell me the Landlord dont want a baby in the property. Don't trust them slow untrust worthy. And definitely dont rent the sparks close 1 bed property, Landlord seems like a handful save your self

I had an amazing experience with Hunters Lee - could not recommend more! Everyone I spoke to was super helpful and the communication was amazing. All the documents and next steps were clear and I felt like the entire process was smooth. Serhan was on hand to help with any questions I had and was even willing to arrange a second viewing so that I could show one of my friends the flat before moving in. Vikram and the rest of the team were also amazing and all in all it was a 10/10 experience. Couldn't recommend more!

My experience selling a property in the UK with this agent was extremely frustrating. For over four months, they delayed the transaction. Despite my constant follow-ups, they kept giving me excuse after excuse, like mortgage problems or minor issues, saying it would happen next week. Eventually, I told them I would pull out and sell to another buyer, but Matthew insisted I still had to pay. I also want to warn people about this company, be very cautious, because in the contract, they include terms that are unfavorable to the client. Once you sign, they do very little to follow up, and you can’t even be sure if the buyer will complete the deal. Their main priority is just getting you to sign, and regardless of whether the sale happens, they still take your money. And when I tried to back out, Matthew actually threatened me, saying that if I didn’t pay, they would escalate it to other departments. I feel this is a form of intimidation.”

Robot refused to give me a viewing

Awful experience trying to arrange a viewing. Spent yonks on the phone with a robot. It asked me unnecessary questions and misheard things; then had to reconfirm everything. Eventually it was happy. I hung up and it started again this time by text. In the end it refused to let me have a viewing unless I told them my spending budget - which I wasn't prepared to do. Do not sell your property through these idiots.

Disappointed, we learned our house purchase had fallen through at the point of us being ready to exchange on our property. We found out that the office had known about it and left it to the agent, who had been looking after us, to tell us after she came back from annual leave! We never got a reason for the purchase to fall through and they even tried delaying us putting an offer in on another property. Luckily this was with another agent and we trusted our gut as the trust with Hunters had gone. 7 weeks later we were in our new home. Felt let down and disappointed with Hunters. This was our first and last time dealing with them.

Avoid with all cost!

Rented an apartment they told me it was deep cleaned before handing over the keys and everything would be fixed etc nothing was cleaned blood on walls mould in all rooms had a faulty/leaky boiler very slack on emails no communication in there office also they was very rude over the phone we never moved into the property due to all the damages and mould etc I was willing to give up my first months rent and for them to send me back the deposit but they refused to send anything back I would highly do not recommend this company/agancey to rent/buy a property from they are useless and slack

"Avoid Hunters Property Management, Inefficient, Rude, and Unprofessional"My experience with Hunters Property Management has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. They have consistently demonstrated poor service, inefficiency, and a dismissive attitude towards tenant concerns.Ineffective Issue Resolution: Hunters fails to handle even basic maintenance issues. For example, a heating issue during winter was passed to the landlord without any attempt to troubleshoot. I had to step in and take personal risks to resolve the problem myself, only to discover it was a simple battery replacement. Their inability to perform even basic triage highlights their lack of professionalism and problem-solving capabilities.Creating Gaps Between Tenants and Landlords: Instead of acting as a competent mediator, Hunters merely relays messages between tenants and landlords, causing delays and unnecessary misunderstandings. This approach has damaged the relationship between myself and the landlord, as the agency often fails to communicate effectively or accurately.Rude and Dismissive Behavior: The staff frequently respond to concerns with a dismissive tone, making tenants feel unsupported and undervalued. I am a first time buyer and there was quite a lot of confusion during the process of buying my property. Hunters were extremely helpful and informative. I felt support from them when trying to speed up things with the solicitors and deal with inspections. The communication with my agent- Vikram was easy and fast. His dedication to his job felt very personal, there were times when he was helping me during his days off which was highly appreciated. I was very touched of the nice surprise that they gave me among with the keys collection. Which was another prove of how personal they take their clients. All members of the Lee's office were very kind and friendly. Last but not least, after the sale was done I hade some issues with the boiler, that I wasn't able to handle and Serhan from Hunters helped me massively to organize it all even that it was not their responsibility any more. Overall I would recommend Hunters to anyone who is looking to buy/sale a property. They are very professional, acknowledgeable and dedicated to provide a full satisfaction to their clients

I both purchased and sold my property with Hunters. Throughout the process of selling my flat Vikram, Serhan and the team were helpful, professional and proactive. Working with them made the process much smoother (and quicker), they liaised directly with solicitors and chased things up to avoid things getting stuck. I didn’t think I would say this about an estate agent but they really do put people first and enjoyed working with all of the team. I purchased a property through Hunters in Lee recently. I appreciate Vikram, Donna , Ali and the team’s hard work. Without their help, I think I couldn’t complete my purchase within a certain time flame, and I could be become a homeless or spend extra money on my rent. My purchase took nearly 6 months to complete due to the pandemic, chains etc. I really felt support from Vikram and the team in helping to speed up things with the solicitors and the seller.
