Worst experience with Dexters…

Worst experience with Dexters Westbourne Grove sales team. They were unprofessional, misleading and deceptive. They did not disclose the true seller or that there was a restriction on title preventing the sale of the property they were marketing for sale, even after our offer was accepted. This caused us great delay, costs, stress and anxiety. When the seller pulled out of the sale they continued to market a property that could not be sold even after the restrictions were brought to their attention (and which they should have known prior to marketing the property). I would give them zero stars if I could. Extremely unhappy with the service. Expect much better from a firm like Dexters.

Pressure you for SECURITY details over the phone!

We got all the way to securing an accepted offer on an apartment in north London, and then asked me to provide my SECURITY no. over the phone, with account details. I requested any other secure payment link or we can’t progress, and the lady (quite obnoxiously) said “this is how the process is” - it’s normal. Been renting for over half a decade in London - definitely not normal. Guys, please don’t give security details over the phone.

Really poor organisation around a new tenancy agreement. They were slow to reply, mixed up payments and withheld deposit returns. We are left with an unsigned tenancy agreement despite living in the house for 5 weeks. Utterly useless.

Our experience with Dexter's was excellent. Their response to the sale of our 1 b/room flat in Kensington London was immediate. It was up and running and out to the public in no time at all. We have used the services of Dexters Kingston for over 20 years initially buying properties and later letting them. Overall, we have been pleased with the service provided. The staff are professional and friendly. Sonia is efficient and fast acting as well as charismatic. Normally they let our properties pretty quick.

100% DO NOT TRUST THIS LETTING AGENCY

We struggled immensely with an unscrupulous, fraudulent and absentee landlord (who resides in Dubai, literally a different continent) and had a litany of serious issues with our properly. None of these were remedied and relationships broke down with the landlord who claimed he was struggling to manage the property. We had toxic mould, plumbing and dangerous electrical issues which were only worsening. When raised with the letting agent, appealing for their help, our concerns were ignored and they sided completely with the absentee landlord. This led to us being forced to end the tenancy early and we are now facing issues with getting our deposit back and dexters have been incredibly unhelpful and combative in their nature. They have shown zero care for their tenants and only care about putting money in their own pockets. DO NOT TRUST THIS LETTING AGENCY.

Dexter's Letting Review

I have been renting my flat for a dozen years with Dexters and overall they are good at what they do, and generally get rents in on time. My flat is agent-managed so the team is generally responsive and get things done well. ParWhen things are amiss, the management of Dexters come into play and they solve problems which is great. I've most recently been working with property manager Bailey and she's been great at finding the right contractors at the right prices to get things done to a satisfactory level.I intend to continue to let my flat with Dexters.

I went into the rent process with a very negative mindset, thinking I wasn’t gonna find a property and everything was just awful and too expensive. However, once I enquired for couple of properties on Rightmove, Jonas from Dexter contacted me back right away. We went to see 3 places, and the last one was the one I said I really like. The day after I placed and offer, we got accepted and soon we are moving in. The all process has been super smooth and not stressful and for me this was so important because I am 7 months pregnant. I am looking forward to moving into the new house and hope the experience and after service will be as nice.
