Firstly I have called this company and tried to resolve this issue. They chose not to be available. Amity are the letting agents for a flat above mine. I am a freeholder on the whole property and their tenants moved out today completely filling all the communal bins. The letting agent - young guy with a ponytail and a white VW was parked on our drive. I approached him to ask about the rubbish. He refused to open the passenger window so I went to the drivers door which he opened an inch. I couldn’t hear him so tried to open the door a bit more. He jumped out the car shouting and calling me a F*****g s**g! He’s a big guy I’m 50! Men who treat women like this are disgusting. There has been plenty in the media recently. Amity obviously didn’t get the message. Vile behaviour.

Poor and illegal experience with Amity Estates. We were asked to put a holding deposit down before we made an offer, fine we thought, at least we're securing the property. A few days later we find out that another family was accepted as the estate agents had taken multiple holding deposits, which under the 2019 Tenancy Act is illegal. We put in a counter offer which was then accepted, it was then demanded of us to pay the full deposit plus 1 months rent in advance before even seeing the tenancy agreement. Also illegal. Shady and backwards business practices that belong in the distant past. When quizzed about their practices, questions were dodged and ultimately we were rejected because the Landlord had a funny feeling about us, I guess they're not alone in that. Would avoid at all costs.NegativeQuality, Professionalism

Amity Estates let and manage three flats for me in Jutland Road, Catford. All the staff take their work very seriously and act in a most professional manner. The staff (Joseph, Brook, Tiv and Marta) in both the management and lettings departments are excellent and very good communicators. Would not hesitate to recommend Amity Estates to let and manage flats and houses in this area. Over the Christmas period, Brook was particularly helpful and extremely efficient getting an unexpected repair carried out swiftly.

My advice would be to avoid Amity Estates. My partner and I lost hundreds of pounds in survey and searches costs due to their unprofessional tactics. Having spoken to other agents and having shared our story I now believe their agent Marcus Brown was stringing us along for over two months. It was a very stressful situation created by a devious and truculent person. After our experience I would warn anyone looking to purchase a property from these cheats to stay away.

Excellent service from Joseph and his team. This is my first property let, and decided to use Amity for a let only service, after having seen their signs up in quite a few properties around the area. That to me was a sure enough sign that they must be good at what they did. I've approached a few of the high street letting agents first, but was not too impressed with the level of information, helpfulness nor prices offered. Our first let with Amity could not have gone smoother and prices offered for their services are extremely competitive. Good job guys.

I sold my property through Amity Estates and I must say their customer service was absolutely tremendous! I had previously wasted a lot of time using other agencies, but once I had contacted Amity I certainly noticed a huge difference. The person I dealt with Bond provided excellent customer service, was very realistic and honest. He knew exactly what was achievable. Bond managed to sell three properties within my family over three different generations! I would recommend Amity Estates to anybody. They are brilliant!

Bond Blake and his team made the process of renting out my property, faultless. Their expertise and professionalism guided me through each stage of the contract and were always on hand if I had any queries. I have the Full Management Service which I have been extremely happy with. Communication and regular reviews are received and any issues dealt with quickly. I have no hesitation in recommending Amity Estates to look after your rental needs, whether it is as a Landlord or Tenant.

I bought a large three storey Edwardian property at Lewisham Park, and was not going to bother concluding as it was huge and I could do better buy two smaller properties instead, but the advantages and potential was strongly highlighted to me, including the ones I did not think about, by the star agent which I later realise was bang on, so I bought it at the time. And the value has been very rewarding indeed to date. Mr Bond Blake was key to this high sale, and the property has been of higher value and increasing yearly since I bought it so no regrets, despite some challenges with the council on usability for HMO etc... but all good in the end. So thank you Bond Blake... He without any doubt is an asset to Amity Estates and the owner. Thanks again Bond and good luck in the future. Regards Dr Paul Fashade

As I Landlord, I have been extremely happy with the service provided at Amity Estate. I found that Bond Blake was very attentive and actually listened to my requests when looking for the right tenants. He was always on the ball and constantly kept me updated. He even made a promise to find a tenant in one week and DELIVERED!! I now have good tenants and the management/sales team (Laura & Marcus) have taken care of any problems promptly and professionally. I would recommend them to anyone.

I viewed two rental properties with Mohammed, the first one had a previous pest problem and when I asked for the documentation from pest control to show the relevant work was completed I was told they could not provide it. (Ripon road) - Still available. The second property is on Shorndean street, I was the first person to view and as soon as I left I called the office to make an offer and was told I’d receive a call back, they never called back. I chased them and was told someone else had put in an offer so I couldn’t. Weeks on this property is still showing as available and every time I call Mohammed either avoids me, or has said I cannot offer as other offers are going forward. (Even though I was the first to view it and call) As an estate agent myself I can’t seem to understand why they will only put forward one offer as they are legally obliged to put all offers forward fairly. I will be making a formal complaint against them to the property ombudsman.

It has been Great working with Mr Bond Blake, straight forward straight talking bloke. I had a difficult transaction that has taken 2 years to complete. From the date Mr Blake took over, it was not smooth sailing but he was able to deal with the problems honestly as they arose, and saw it through to completion. Bottom line the difficult deal was done. A lot of people would have given up! Thank you Bond.

I bought a property from Amity Estates this year they told me it was a probate sale. We had an enquiry from hmrc and it turned out it was only a 50% probate and we needed some evidence of probate. I asked the agent fro some assistance and they told me they cannot get involved ad they refused to help me in any way even thought they could have and they put me in the problem in th efirst place by telling me it was a probate sale where it was not accurate. Had they given me accurate information in the first place I would have been more careful to ask for all relevant information. Because thye misled me it has resulted in serious problems and when i asked them for help they bang the phone down on me. Please be careful with these agents. Anita

Worst experience ever. First they show me house, then asking for a million proofs and docs from us like I’m trying to get in CIA or Pentagon and then when we were expecting a decision, all of a sudden I get email informing me, that the landlord does not want to let the property anymore without any further explanation.

Fantastic service provided by Amity, especially Bond Blake. Bond secured a let for my property and then later, a sale. He has also helped to sell two other properties owned by my family. On all occasions he has been helpful, informative and available for advice. He provides a very thorough service and is a friendly and reliable agent. I would definitely recommend selling or letting with Amity.

I contacted Amity Estates to assist me with finding a tenant for my property. I was very overwhelmed by the excellent customer service and care received from Bond. I admired his honesty and professionalism from start to finish. He was fully committed to the task at hand and communication was paramount. Was always informed of the progress frequently. Thank you Bond for a 5* service.

Estate agents come across very friendly on phone but they are huge time wasters. You ask to view a property and they continue to delay saying the owner isn't in. Very unprofessional and for a company that works in partnership with councils to house people I find this very shocking. Avoid at all costs!

Trash company! Put dow application for a house paid the fee they told me landlord was happy to proceed with application and then 6 days prior to move I had to call them to see if the contract was ready to them tell me was not approved cause landlord was afraid I was bringing a pet with me which I specifically told I don’t have one! Now I have six days to find a house for me and my kid!NegativeQuality, Professionalism

Bond is a professional, persistent and intelligent agent. He helped us rent two of our places as well as a sale in a very short time frame. I would thoroughly recommend them as well as Bond. He's also a genuinely nice guy. A+++

Bond and his team handled my sale of a new build property professionally. They are always well mannered and a pleasure to speak to. Couple of issues with other parties during the sale but they were rectified effectively - even Ian Fleming would approve!

As a tenant, this was probably the worst experience I have had with a real estate. Unsympathetic, demanding, rude. From the reviews read here, clearly preference is given to landlords and sales, at the expense of tenants and morals. Demanding inspections during covid, even when they knew NHS frontline workers were residing in the property whom were required to self isolate. When asked if there was any support we could get during covid at the beginning, rather than being sympathetic or having a conversation, they demanded we paid on time or else. When a quote was requested for costs against the release of the bond, we were told to accept it or we'll be charged more. Even when an apparent security breach of their IT systems and database, no reassurance that our personal data was safe, or protected. Also has shared other tenants personal information with other tenants, when this was brought to the attention of them, the direct response to me was aggressive and very clear they didn't care. Then no communication was sent out, or apologies sent out to the affected tenants. So, no further communication was sent regarding data breach, or intentional sharing of personal data. No communication to say what they have done to fix this, and what measures were, or would be put in place, to prevent this happening again. I would suggest to current or potential tenants to know your rights clearly. To landlords, ask yourself if your content with the questionable treatment of your tenants.
