I popped in to the sales office in Beverley nearly 3 months ago, not expecting to fall in love with one but walked out with my heart set on the Geneva. I wasn’t in a position to purchase one as mine had just gone on the market. I’d been in a few times to see Jen as decided to keep an open mind and compare other developments as there were 8 houses still available. 2 days before Christmas I was finally in a position to move forward to be told all 8 had been sold to a buying scheme so missed out by 48 hours! I’m gutted….however, Jen was very understanding and has gone above and beyond to try and help me get the property of my dreams. Although it would still seem it’s not meant to be she has still tried everything possible to make it come true. She’s been far more helpful than any of the other developments I’ve been dealing with even though she had nothing left in my budget to sell me. Thank you Jen for all your dedication to truly helping me even though it would seem it really isn’t meant to be! Oh and if the home group read this then please sell me plot 13 😂

I have moved in to a new build property property is under defex for 2 years we put a repair in strata booked the repair with the window people then cancelled it saying we had caused the damage our self when we didn't they won't answer calls or messages that are been left for then to contact me about this problem

I wanted to wait to give a full review for people looking to buy with Strata. We were first time buyers looking at the Oporto. We had a great experience to start with, Betty was brilliant at the start, very helpful and keen to get things moving. We were buying one of the last houses on the site so we were assured they were keen to get us in. We were originally told we'd be moving in in June/July (reserved in February). We were given great incentives to buy the house and began planning. Betty was then moved to another site, and this unfortunately is where it went downhill. Although the lady who took over was lovely, it became really difficult to get any kind of update which really ruined the experience for us. Constant unanswered phone calls, texts and emails. We actually went to the other site she was based at to find her to try and get any kind of update which, when you are paying thousands for a new house, felt really disappointing. After delay after delay and after getting to the point where we had to beg on the phone for an update on when we could move in (August at this point), we finally got a date for the last day in August - but this wasn't without its faults, they didn't fully confirm this until 1 week before moving and when you are renting/trying to get time off work, was awful to be honest. Completion was completed by around 11am, the house was really clean and well presented. The house is beautiful, we are so happy with the Oporto - we had a few snags noticed on move in and with our professional snagger we paid for, but nothing major. It has been difficult to get things fixed as there are no longer engineers etc on site as they have now finished building and we have a few outstanding issues but we are generally we are happy. They have sent gifts to the house since we moved in which is a nice touch, especially the Christmas ornament which is a replica of our very own house - really lovely, thank you.

I can’t recommend Jeff at Strata highly enough. Every time he attends our property he completes the work to the highest of standards. He is meticulous, a perfectionist, and the consummate professional, treating his work with the level of care and attention you’d expect from someone maintaining their own home. On the rare occasion he hasn’t been able to complete the work due to an outside contractor needing to be involved, he’s helped ensure that the job is reported and taken care of in a timely manner. If we could give him 6 stars, we would.

The lads from strata Mally, Ryan, Barry and Jeff did a great job doing all my repairs to my new house. Mally and Ryan I thought went above and beyond doing a few extra things as they saw the wasn't right so made them right. I thank you all and Barry will have you laughing he is a very funny guy.

Jeff came out to carry out some snagging repairs at my new Strata Homes property at Breathe. He was friendly, professional and took real pride in his work. Absolutely disgraceful company! After only 3 years, had a huge leak from a badly installed flexi pipe behind an upstairs toilet (have a report from a professional plumber). Water everywhere, inc pouring through the ceiling in our kitchen/dining/family room. Strata not interested! We've got draughty windows that don't close properly - again not interested - windows that only have a 2 year warranty on them - what on earth? Where is their FENSA guarantee?We had a snagging report done a few months after we moved in as we were getting nowhere with getting faults resolved - the professional snagger found 242 defects! SAVE YOURSELVES A LOT OF STRESS AND DON'T BUY ONE OF THESE HOUSES! See "Problems with Strata Homes new builds" on FB!

It’s been a long wait to get our back door replaced (long story) but definitely worth it . Following on from the guys that refitted the door and frame David innes came to do the finishing touches. He did a great job and his work is excellent. He also arranged to get the guys on site to finish the outside. Finally we get the door & finish we should have had in the first place . Thank you David innes . We are on the promise site at bolsover.

Shockingly poor customer service. Disinterested in rectifying mistakes made during construction. Scaffolding has been up at the front of my propery for over 3 months without once being inspected to ensure safety. Wrong parts order, timelines made up as they go along. Has put me off ever considering a new build property again, once you are in and outside of the warranty period you are clearly of very little significance as a customer to companies like Strata. Avoid

Jeff came to visit to attend to some woodwork snags, filling and sanding. Punctual, extremely polite and respectful of our home throughout his visit. Jeff is extremely skilled at his trade and carried out the works to the highest of standards. I would also like to mention Jeff is extremely friendly and a really lovely person. While we have a few issues yet to be completed, we have been supported by others at Strata - Simon, Selina, Maggie, Carl, Malc and a site decorator John all of which have been very supportive with assistance with our remaining snags. We would recommend Strata to others. Strata are very busy but they do their very best and do support and rectify snags. I am on a group for new builds and some builders clearly are not at good as Strata Homes. Whilst my review is for Jeff, it is also an overview of our experience with Strata customer care over the past few months.

TrustpilotTake note - There’s a reason Strata lost their 5 star rating
There is a reason Strata has lost its 5 star home builder rating. The homes are built to a poor standard, customer care either speak to you appallingly, or don’t respond. When workmen do turn up, they’ve got the wrong jobs or an inadequate amount of time which requires follow up visits, which isn’t the workmen’s fault. Actually, the only reason strata have 3.5 stars on here are because the workmen are nice guys and ask for reviews. A great tactic by Strata to bump up the review rating. But please take time to read through the reviews as this will make you think twice. Persimmon are always in the news for the poor quality of homes… they were rated higher than Strata. This speaks volumes. Strata - listen to what your customers are telling you, don’t cast them off as soon as you have their money and keep throwing homes up that mean you rush and deliver a poor standard, using cheap tradesmen to keep costs down. There is no way work done in our house was by a qualified tiler, joiner, painter etc! If you also want a true reflection of what the lovely external “street scene” will look like, visit Elegance or Kudos! I also don’t want a “sorry to hear about your experience, please email us” replies strata. It’s all lip service for the review with no actual action taken!!

Mally came to ours to fix a wall in the spare room, the plastering is spot on, very friendly and did a great job. He even sorted out a couple of internal doors for us that were not shutting correctly that was not on his to do list! Really appreciate it. Cheers

David Innes is a credit to Strata. He went above and beyond to resolve an issue I had to the best of his ability, despite only planning/ expecting to paint a small area. This is an issue that was caused by his colleagues not finishing the job to a reasonable standard. Thank you David for your hard work and positive attitude given my recent experiences, you are a breath of fresh air and Strata should endeavour to hire more engineers like you.

Jeff has been to our property a couple of time, his workmanship, attention to detail and over coming problems has been great. He’s let us know the process of what he’s doing finding the best solution and leasing with strata for the next steps that needs to be carried out. Jeff has a great can do attitude towards his work and takes pride in making sure the job is done correctly. We are all quick to moan when someone has done something wrong, and for us we have had some poor workmanship done in our home. but Jeff really is a credit to strata from start to finish he’s been such a help and finally we feel we can see things coming together. His positive attitude and customer service has been great. So we’d just like to say a big thank you for the work Jeff has carried out on our home.
