My original contract was with Thurman & Rye and was acquisitioned by Hunters part way through, but the staff remained the same. They had two flats to sell, so I offered them 3% if they sold both flats within the standard contract period as an incentive to market the properties. They didn’t market or sell a single flat. They just sat there and hoped for RightMove to create the footfall.Worse still was the brochuring of the properties, they couldn’t spell, got the wrong specs and they couldn’t draw the floor plans properly. Loads of promises and assurances from the start etc, but proved to be a load of hot air and horse.

DO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENT. On the 18.10.2018 I was appointed to see an apartment at 41 Mill West, Sowerby Bridge, HX6 3JH. (I hope the landlord is reading this)We agreed a time of 16:45 but due to traffic my sat nav advised I would be eleven minutes late. I called the office at 16:25 and after a few minutes of waiting for somebody to answer the telephone I was greeted. I advised the lady I was running late by eleven minutes and was told the agent showing me around cannot wait for me because she finishes at 5pm. I asked why would it be booked with only 15 minutes to spare for viewing and the reply I received from a manager at hunters was “you only get five minutes to view the property. The manager I had the displeasure of conversing with was named Nicola Thompson. She is rude, cocky and full of self importance with no regard for customer service or a potential tennents interest or the landlord of the property who contributes to her salary. I feel I had a lucky escape. I hope her superiors read this as well as the landlord who owns the property I was going to view. She needs to enroll in a customer service role and soon, personally I’d fire her but unfortunately this is what happens when you allow the inexperienced and possibly inadequate into a junior management role. I will post on every review site I can because of this women’s attitude with the hope her bosses react and teach her how to behave towards potential and existing customers.

I can't tell you about my experience with a recent let as the only way I could get our deposit back was to agree not to complain about any aspect of the tenancy or the process of charges negotiation. I can tell you to be very careful about using this letting agent. They issue a notice to quit towards the end of each assured short hold tenancy rather than let the tenancy run-on so that they can raise the rent, knowing you are in situ and charge new fees for the tenancy agreement. Scrutinise your inventory and the check-out report in detail. Do not suggest you have any cause for complaint.

We had so many issues in our rented property and they never came and sorted them due to this we moved out. We had left our house in a very clean state and only the problems we had when we moved in had been left they tried to take our full bond off us and more. They are horrific and I wouldn’t recommend using them and I certainly won’t be ever again.

GoogleIt all started with our successful house sale when we switched to Hunters after being on the market for many months with one of "the opposition". We happily recommended Hunters Yeadon to friends and neighbours who went on to have equally successful sales so we may have lost a few neighbours but we DO all remain friends. We had no hesitation in handing over the management of several rental properties too and have the utmost confidence in recommending the Hunters team to others who will appreciate a friendly, professional and enthusiastic agency who will just Get the Job Done.

GooglePros: An estate agent with a reputation to sell your house more quickly than other similar businesses in the area. The statistics for the sales reflect this. The commission is higher than some other estate agents operating in this general market, but may be considered justified by the increased performance. A friendly, proactive team with good knowledge of the local area and capability in their field. As a seller I believe they will offer realistic and constructive feedback and also work in the interests of achieving a mutually agreeable selling price. Cons: An agent didn't turn up to one house viewing, although I suspect this was a rare occurrence and we were able to view the house (that we later bought) as the vendor was at home. Some discussion around the selection of the most appropriate photos to include on the e-listing was required to get the best presentation of the house. In summary, I've been very happy with the overall service provided, they're a great team they'll certainly be top of the list to consider for use in the future.

I made enquiries about a house for sale in grimsby , and received a basic could not care less email , it did not answer my question, and hastened to add they have no properties in the price range ,I WONDER WHY????very poor customer service , never again with grimsby branch . They could not even find time to put my name on emails. Thats twice in 6 months they have failed .

People be alert avoid at all cost like covid. Do not deal with the bradford shipley branch previously Bentleys. Dishonest timewasters that just do not care. They lie and cheat to impress for their own gain. Mis advice vendors to sell to buyers who are friends/associates. Dont waste your time and emotions I did. Wish I and vendors had checked the previous reviews would not have wasted time and money.

GoogleWe recently sold our lovely old 4 bed-roomed home, in order to downsize. Although our timing was right, it was still a very emotional move for us having lived in the house for 18 years, with our three girls growing up there, enjoying both the house and the garden. From the start Hunters understood our feelings; the team dealt with the whole process with sensitivity, professionalism and respect. We would have no hesitation in recommending them.

I enquired about a house and have been added illegally to a mailing list. I complained and asked to be removed twice, was told they never added me (though the emails added me 1 day after my 1 ever enquiry to this company) and they have yet to remove me. Companies like this should not be trusted, they are taking your data and will spam you !

GooglePoor communication throughout, was led to believe the property was taken off the market (after a congratulations email from the MD on my purchase) and got gazumped. Even on the day I submitted my documentation, I still wasnt told of another offer.

Thank you for your comments Daniel, we welcome all feedback, good or bad. On this occasion we felt it best to clarify a couple of things. When your offer was accepted it was explained that it was accepted subject to receiving proof of funding and solicitors details - in the current climate this is standard procedure for almost all estate agents. It wasn't for another seven days until this documentation was submitted. In this time our office and our offer qualification team made five attempts to contact you with no response. Unfortunately, in this time another buyer submitted a higher offer and submitted proof of funds to us - at this point our client instructed us to accept the higher offer and remove the property from the market. We then tried to call you again to make you aware but were again unable to contact you. Whilst i understand your disappointment we have to follow the correct procedures and we had made every effort to get the necessary documentation from you so we could remove the property from the market. Since this, we have even gone to the lengths of dropping leaflets through letter boxes of comparable houses on the same street to try and find you a house - we will be in touch should we get a response from this. In the meantime, good luck with your property search and thank you again for your comments.
