I am a client of 2 Dexters branches

I am a client of 2 Dexters branches. One works very well because there is an individual who can take responsibility and get things done. 5 stars. At the other branch, I have no single contact and when I call the letting branch they say maintenance is not their responsibility (despite being the managers) and I am referred to the property management people (not sure where they are located ) but then still no single person takes responsibility. It can be a very trying experience finding someone who will actually do anything to help

Dexters Property Management

Dexters have been fully managing our property since August have done a great job. We, unfortunately, had a major leak that damaged the property all the way from the top floor to the lower ground floor, and this was just five days before the new corporate client was supposed to move in. The team too swift action to get the house ready for the tenant to live in while the longer term damage could be repaired. They even worked with our insurance company to process the claim. It has been a very stress free (despite the extent of the damage) and hands off experience for us. We are very pleased we handed over the management of our property to Dexters.

Have been shown multiple properties by Dexters Kennington - each time has been abject professionalism by all the team, the emails they send are focussed to what I described I was looking for on the first meeting I’ve had with them ( which is enormously appreciated considering you can get a huge amount of emails from other estate agents sometimes ). WOULD NEVER USE AGAIN. 3 months after accepting my offer, their seller hadn't completed any paperwork and I had 0 communication from Dexters team about why this was or what was going on. This means that I'm at risk of losing my buyer, and mortgage rates are now getting higher and higher. Additionally, on the day of viewing the property after finding out that the seller had not done any paperwork, their staff called 10 mins before the appointment (at which point I was already there) saying there was an issue with their cars. When I suggested walking, getting a busy or an uber, the agent then told me the actual issue was that he didn't know where the keys to his property were. All this after I'd already travelled 40 mins to property and taken time off work. Could not recommend Dexters Kennington less. They only care about money, not about humans trying to buy a home to live in. They have terribly low communication and are also dishonest when they do communicate. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

The Dexters Kennington team were certainly the right choice. In the early stages, Dominic gave me his time and was sensitive to the situation. He always listened, gave helpful advice, and was positive throughout. Once the house was on the market the rest of the team came into action. They were always considerate and professional. Special mention must be made of George who was my first port of call and, thankfully, was always there at the end of the phone. Some of the things that struck me the most during the process… the team ethos and work ethic, the welcome when you walk in, the gentle honest guidance and the fact that nothing was too much trouble. My thanks to all including Sandra who kept the lines of communication running smoothly.

Dexters is By far the best agents I’ve interacted with. They were so professional and Dominic had all the relevant information to hand at the viewing (which is rare with other agents). His communication was great; we were updated during the whole process and weren’t left wondering about our offer. Unlike many other agents, we never felt pressured to increase our offer beyond our means. We unfortunately didn’t get the house but really hope we have the opportunity to deal with Dexters again in the future.

I made the mistake of trusting Dexters…

I made the mistake of trusting Dexters again after an initial incident where pure profit over people made me wish I never encountered them, but I loved the look of a place being advertised and couldn't help but at least attempt to see if it was right for me. In the end not only was it a "bait and switch" the property being advertised was already off the market but I 1- got inedadted with irrelevant properties in my inbox 2- was stood up at a viewing that was scheduled and 3 had all of my communication preferences ignored. I won't fall again for the trickery and horrificly unprofessional conduct of Dexters again.

Completely ghosted by an agent after we had already started looking at properties together. Tried to follow up via phone and email multiple times, no reply. A simple email saying „this property isn’t available anymore“ or whatever the reason might be is simply the professional thing to do, and it’s not hard.
