GoogleWe were on the market with Bell and Co Estate Agents starting in November 2024, and unfortunately, our experience was highly unsatisfactory.
From the outset, we were promised that the agents would handle all viewings. However, we consistently found that they had nobody available for cover, which resulted in us having to conduct almost all the viewings ourselves. This was a significant inconvenience and a major failure to deliver on a core service they advertised.
After months of no progress and a complete lack of confidence in their approach, we made the decision to switch to a different estate agent. Following this change, our property successfully sold within just three weeks.
Overall, we were not impressed with the service from Bell and Co Estate Agents. The service, communication, and basic competence were all well below the expected standard, and we would not recommend them.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely disappointed to read your review, as we feel it does not accurately reflect the service provided during your time with us. Viewings, We did conduct viewings on your behalf. On a small number of occasions where cover was genuinely unavailable, we asked if you would be willing to carry out the viewing on that specific occasion, which you kindly agreed to. This was not a regular expectation. Unfortunately, during a short period where a new team member had joined, there was confusion due to the most recent viewings being vendor-led. Once this was raised, we immediately confirmed we were happy to resume conducting all future viewings. However, shortly after this discussion, you chose to withdraw the property from the market. ‘’Months of no progress” During your marketing period we arranged 13 viewings, received 13 offers from 7 separate parties, and secured a sale, which unfortunately fell through due to circumstances beyond our control. This demonstrates strong activity rather than a lack of progress. Communication & marketing, We maintained regular contact throughout, including weeks where enquiry levels were lower, and kept you informed of market conditions and the actions we were taking to generate interest. As a small independent agency, we proactively marketed your home and worked hard to secure a sale, something clearly evidenced by the level of interest and offers received. While we respect your decision to move to another agent and are pleased you achieved a sale, we do feel this review is unfair given the level of service, communication, and commitment shown throughout your listing. We pride ourselves on going above and beyond for our clients and always acting in their best interests. We wish you all the very best moving forward.

FacebookReally bad service, we desperately wanted a house that they had, and I called ok Saturday to confirm what we could still come see the house and that would the seller wait for us. The person I spoke to said yes they are 100% waiting for us, we have moved around our working day to go view the property, and got a call this morning Monday to say that an offer was accepted on Saturday already, so I was lied to, and now stuck with working day being moved for no reason. No communication from the estate agents, they don’t have any organisation and very rude when I explained the lady just said she would speak to the other lady but wouldn’t call me back or anything was pointless. I won’t recommend these to anyone, neither will I buy a house through them. Very rude, bad service and no communication at all. I wouldn’t trust them.

We appreciate this was extremely disappointing and inconvenient, particularly given the effort you made to arrange your day. It was never our intention to mislead you, and we acted as quickly as possible to pass on the vendor’s decision. We appreciate this is not the outcome you had hoped for, and we apologise for the inconvenience and frustration caused. GoogleBell & Co worked really well in helping to sell our house and despite an early false start with the initial buyers pulling out, Bell & Co soon found an alternate buyer to make sure the chain remained intact. Sophie Ward took charge in managing our chain, as she was also responsible for the house we were buying, and I can't fault her service, and the wider service from Bell & Co. Sophie was easy to contact, responsive on email and provided all the reassurance we needed to have confidence in Bell & Co and the stability of our chain. When Sophie wasn't available, it became clear that the Bell & Co team were well informed of what was happening and were able to step in when Sophie was away (which wasn't often). I'm also grateful that Sophie occasionally came in on her day off to help keep matters on track! They seem a hard-working bunch. If I'm ever in a position to sell my house again, Bell & Co will be the first Estate Agents we approach, and I would strongly recommend them.

FacebookThis is the second time I have sold a property with Bell & co, this time it was my nans property we sold as she had passed away. I cannot recommend bell and co enough for their hard work, as you can imagine this was a very sensitive sale and they have been amazing from start to finish.
Nothing is ever too much trouble for them and they are always on the other end of phone or email.
We have dealt with Sophie both times but the rest of the team have always been there to help if Sophie was not available.
