Probably the worst experience i have had buying houses. If you are a seller that want toi was told offer was not accepted one day, next day i received a call saying to send my document as my offer was accepted before and encouraged to use solicitor through sequence (solicitors who are not responsive, ignore emails and never reply back to you) while, all these was going on. i receive a further call that the seller was ringing everyone who has viewed the property to give their final offer. Why would you let me engage your solicitor or told me my offer was accepted when you are still in the bidding stage? I will try avoid this agent every opportunity i get. surprise to see that the same offer i gave is what is being paraded as what the b=property is being sold for online £47k if it is, then this is borderline fraudulent and not getting the person who is being repossessed the best chance.also when i made my complain known, The lady who address my complain made no effort whatsoever to understand what aspect i was not happy about (i was unbothered if you get a higher offer as when it comes to corporate sales thats the goal). i was not pleased with the service provided.

I cannot even begin to describe the terrible experiences that I have had with this company. The mortgage broker service, the lettings service and even the managers are absolutely useless (Colchester branch). I made a complaint and they didn't even investigate the correct claim. The manager, with whom I spoke to for over half an hour, clearly didn't listen to a word I said. Steer clear of every department! They offered me £100 to refer a friend but they couldn't pay me any amount to put anyone else through the stress I had from dealing with this estate agent.

Peterborough Cowgate Branch. This review relates to the sales team. The lettings team are very good. The sales team could not organise a drinking session in a brewery. I wont bore you with a list of the woeful errors, oversights and cock ups but the worst was their mistakes resulted in my property not being properly listed for over 2 months. As you will have to do all the work yourself, save yourself the minimum £2k WHB will charge, and list it yourself through the likes of 'Doorsteps' for just £99.

I'd give them zero stars if that were an option. The letting agents are two-faced, unreliable, dishonest, unpleasant, and only out for money. They are thoroughly nasty human beings. They change your energy supplier to one they prefer (without your consent) and tell your current supplier that you're leaving them. Then you are charged at the highest rate and they won't sort the problem out. That's just ONE of the many, many, many problems with them. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Tried several times by email and phone to get their Clacton-on-Sea office to stop sending me emails about new lettings staff.1) I have not given them permission to use my name, address or phone number as I have never contacted them.2) I did contact a company called Connels who used to occupy the same office.3) I don't have any property to rent out.They just ignore my requests to stop contacting me.I dread to think what they would be like if I asked them to rent out one of my properties or to sell one of them.Avoid, they don't listen.

Terrible service if there was an option for minus stars would use DO NOT USE worst service I have ever received would never choose this company again and strongly recommend others not too. Myself and my partner paid out £600 for their services to help purchasing our house they did nothing we chased them up. They blamed Covid over the whole thing utterly not an excuse for incompetent and unprofessional service heard from others they have had similar experience judging by this they won’t be in business much longer .

I was interested in a property located Wymondham which they advertised on a popular website. I booked an appointment for viewing and I received a comfirmation text message. I arrived at the property at the comfirmed time but noone was there. I called the relevant branch (Attleborough), however I was only told that the responsible person is not around. Nobody took the ownership of the problem and I could not view the property, although I came here from over 120 miles away.Time wasting company, I do not recommend at all!

I phoned the Pontefract office 2 days ago regarding a bungalow they were selling no one answered as it went to answer machine I left a message name and phone number as of now no one has had the courtesy to phone me back.I'm afraid the reviews on site match my experience with w h browns it's not the first time either.I made an enquiry to Wakefield office 12 months ago regarding a property and 95% of the time on the phone was trying to get me to put my property on the market with them it didn't matter much about the property they were selling.After my experience and certainly the reviews we will not put our property in W H Browns hands.I gave 1 star very reluctantly minus 1 is more appropriate

Atrocious communications from their Grantham office - haven't heard from them in weeks bordering into months during our sale. Even when we've chased them, they've not deigned to respond, until - finally - when we raised a formal complaint. Then, just a response that exudes smarmy evasiveness. I can absolutely see why the Sell-it-Yourself approach is booming, as no right-minded individual would use this shambles of an outfit twice. Steer well clear, if I were you.

It took 3 attempts to get them to stop and remove me from their system, as you can imagine the 3rd email wasn't so polite.Would not entertain now or in the future .

Would have given them a zero if I could. I would not recommend them to anyone. I have requested for the 3rd time today for the Lincoln Branch to take my property off the market as they are not marketing it. I have had so-called viewing but within a few hours they have called me to cancel the viewing and give me an excuse why they are not coming for example they don't want to now view due to Covid19 so if you are concerned about it why book a viewing. Think this is their action to keep me with them. All they have done to me is lie all the time. For one of my viewings, I went out of my way to try and get a sale chased several times whether they had heard from the potential buyer it would be no. Also they told me if I dropped my price in their relaunch on Boxing day they would remarket my property but all I got was a price drop on Christmas Day. When I queried it I was told it was a relaunch, which I see as two completely different days with a price drop as nothing had changed and the pictures of the property are awful for a professional photographer. I know someone who is looking to buy and went to view a property with them and they never gave her a call back to ask how the viewing went. Do they think people are going to call them back. Have put a complaint in but that even lies supposed of retracted my cancellation after collecting the keys and asking them several times to remove their board from my property. They never ever acknowledge the cancellation so how did they speak to me about it. Someone from the company called my mother regarding my complaint. Breach of Data protection.

Absolutely incompetent company, palmed our renting off to the hopeless 'Sequence' sub-company. Took two months to return the non-disputed portion of our deposit due to their shocking incompetence.

We were given some really bad advice with regards to selling our house. We were recommended to put it for auction which just put people off to start with as the auction fees were £6,000. We had texts to confirm viewings that never happened and to get any feedback about viewings we had to ring the office. We gave notice of termination of contract and sold the house within a day ourselves. Would not recommend this company.

I used Williamhbrown in 2016 to rent a house in Harwich, Essex as i had to spend some time over seas. The agreement was a finders fee only and my only request was, I would not accept tenants on benefits and no animals. On my return I discovered the tenants (a couple) had a large dog, the tenants were unemployed and litttle interest in finding work, they had one kid and expecting another. I discovered he was not a carpenter and had a bad attitude and i knew immediately i was in trouble.Two years of grief, abuse and rent arrears of over £5000 ensued until i finally got them evicted through the courts. Williamhbrown also changed all the utilities including having a PAYG meter fitted without consulting me or the tenants, they also accepted a smaller deposit that was agreed on wihout consulting me.I would have given No star rating, Williamhbrown are not a company, they are pure chancers with not a shread of concern for the tenants they will put in your property, bottom line is MONEY. I could have found better tenants had i walked around Harwich town with a sandwich board on my back.
