Hugely impressed with the service provided by Nigel Gama. I particularly appreciated that he called me weekly throughout the process with updates, and read the market and responses of potential buyers with a tough but always rational commitment to my interests as the vendor. It should be said that this is all in contrast to the first agent I gave the sale to, who had been the letting agent. A good letting agent may not be a good selling agent, it turns out...

I am currently in process of buying a flat with another agent but that has not stoped me leaving this review. You probably wonder why would I do this but I was so amazed by the customer service from Winkworth that I just had to say something. They are honest when it comes to what property they have. This is really important, trust me. No fooling around like some agents in Surbiton who post their properties online but they don't tell you that they really haven't got anything as most are under offer or subject of sale already, and what is left is not what you are looking for. No making of inflated and unrealistic prices. NO lies! They go extra mile with everything. I was so impressed that now I started recomending them to my friends who have properties to sell. Nigel, I must say thank you so, so much for everything. You are a shining beacon of light in that dark estate agents world. Ben and Debbie you make it all happen and just keep doing what you do. Thank you all. I really hope that our paths cross again in future as there will be only one choice for me. You guys are simply the best!

FTB here. I recently completed on a flat in Surbiton and it's safe to say the sale probably wouldn't have happened without Debbie and Ben from Winkworth going above and beyond to keep the chain together. I found a lot of the more established agents in Kingston/Surbiton to be quite impersonal and complacent. I often got the impression these bigger firms felt they could get anything off their books given the share of the market they had and the number of buyers they had at any one time. I would have to actively chase them for viewings or responses. Winkworth was different. When I saw a property I was interested in, I requested a viewing on a Friday, viewed that same day, slept on it over the weekend, offered on Monday and had it accepted on that Wednesday. The property was immediately marked as "Under Offer" and no further viewings / offers were considered from that point on. The chain collapsed midway but, again, Winkworth found a resolution almost immediately before even notifying me. When a mortgage offer was about to expire in the chain, Winkworth ensured exchange happened before it did. Thoroughly recommend them for anyone considering a stress-free purchase!

Estate Agents don’t always get good press. And during the sale of my flat, one agent proved this to be totally justified. But Ben and Nigel at Winkworth, definitely deserve some good press. Their professionalism and upbeat manner shone through, not just at the beginning of the instruction, but the entire way through the sales process. They outperformed the other agency, (who touted themselves as the best local agency) in every department, and got the sale, in a very challenging market.
