Like most people I usually only write reviews to make a complaint heard. Not this time! Having previously sold a house a few years ago and dealing with - what can only be described as a sleazy ex car salesman for an estate agent. I wanted to make sure this time, I made the right choice.I really liked Donald Ross from my first interaction. I met with Fiona Hunter, and assumed as they were a larger company, I'd be dealing with different people all the time, and once my signature was on the dotted line, I wouldn't hear much from them until I chased. Fiona was polite, knowledgeable, efficient and had me laughing on each conversation. Although my house sold quickly, Fiona went the extra mile making sure I was kept informed throughout the process, updates landed with me before I needed to ask, from arrange the photographer to writing up an impressive property schedule and even keeping me informed of when someone would be out with a For Sale sign. I could not fault Fiona, she clearly has a passion for her job and genuinely cared about making sure I made the right decision with the right offer. And she was right!If you're thinking about selling your house. I'd definitely recommend speaking to Fiona Hunter at Donald Ross, a credit to company and a pleasure. Thank you!

Fantastic smooth and professional service. From our initial meeting with Gavin Urquhart for a home valuation, through the photography and marketing process, the appointments and viewings resulting in a super quick sale, every step of the process was handled extremely professionally and with the least stress for us. We can’t recommend this company enough. Gavin instantly made us feel at ease. He was very reassuring and took the time to explain everything really clearly without putting us under any pressure. Even after the several months we took to make the decision to sell, he clearly remembered all the details of our house and of our situation. Phil the photographer made our wee house look it’s absolute best and was a complete pro. Nicola, Tracey and Maureen were fantastic in handling all our appointments, providing regular feedback from viewings and managing the offers at closing date to make the end result of the sale really easy for us. We got the impression that this is a very trustworthy group of individuals who work really really hard to take care of of every last detail. Nothing was too much trouble. And all this in the middle of a global pandemic and under difficult working conditions for all.Thank you to each of you for all your help, much appreciated.

We needed a quick turnaround on our property to be in a position to bid for another house. Their Property Advisor visited on a Friday. House marketed and sold in under two weeks. The staff were extremely professional and helpful. The marketing material was excellent with very accurate descriptions and quality photographs. The demographic of the viewers reached was impressive. Buyers were Canadian. I would highly recommend Donald Ross. First class in every way. Thank you

We bought our current home through Donald Ross. While house hunting I was speaking to a number of estate agents who I didn't always trust and sometimes felt they were using us to push other people's offers up etc. However I started with some email exchanges with Fraser Stewart from Donald Ross, then had some phone conversations. We discussed our priorities and wish list and Fraser was able to apply this and question it where needed to help us. He was honest about the properties they had on their books and based on our needs/wants was able to steer us clear of things that were not going to tick the boxes even if the didn't have an alternative to push or it meant us looking elsewhere. This really grew our trust and we really felt that Fraser wanted to help us find the right house that we would be happy in. Which in the end he did :)The process was not straight forward buying during lockdown and we ended up buying something still in construction. Fraser was always available on the phone to help us work through any snags and communicate with the developers. We couldn't have done it without him.

Felt very well looked after and now handing back the new rent property to move in to our bought home and once again received kind Words of excitement from the team at Donald Ross.. 1st class letting agents

This is an update to my previous review which they ask you to complete when things are going well. 6 months after putting our house on the market and 2 collapsed sales we are no further forward. We already paid £800 for HR and photos. If we want to stop selling house with them we have to pay them £600. I think at this point in time they should accept that they have not delivered. Think carefully about signing up with them.

Excellent service from the residential sales team in Ayr who managed sale of our two properties. Maureen and Nicola were incredibly helpful and guided us through the sales process to ensure everything went smoothly. One of the properties encountered delays and the team went out of their way to make sure they could help wherever possible. Great value for money from a fantastic team. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Very pleased with the service from Donald Ross, Tracey was more than helpful in that I had a problem with my original finance provider and she put me in touch with their preferred mortgage advisor who sorted out the problem and arranged my mortgage and sorted out a lawyer to process the legal side of things. I would definitely recommend the company.

FacebookNeeded help and advice from professionals as I wanted to rent my property out and had no idea how to do it. It’s a bit of a mine field but a young lady called Fiona was incredibly helpful and guided me through the whole process. I am extremely happy with the level of service received from them from comprehensive inspection reports and how to deal with any tenant issues promptly can't recommend them enough It can be a complex issue but Fiona made it seem so easy. A big thanks to all of her help and to Donald Ross for guiding me through the minefield ! Highly recommended!

Dealt with Ayr office whilst viewing and subsequently purchasing a property. At short notice I requested a viewing, followed by a second viewing days later, both of which which were facilitated by veru helpful staff. I dealt with Maureen who dealt with bids and negotiations and can only say the service from start to finish was very professional and extremely efficient. I would definitely recommend the use of this company.

FacebookThe biggest mistake we made was not choosing Donald Ross in the first place. We initially put our property up for sale with another agent in Ayr ... Huge mistake! We moved to Donald Ross, from the moment we walked into the Ayr office the service was exceptional. Maureen was fantastic, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and most importantly actually interested in selling our property. Didn't matter who I spoke to in the office the service was always excellent. Fantastic service, would definitely recommend

FacebookSelling and buying with Donald Ross has been a great experience . From the very first from James i knew they would do their best to sell our property . We sold within two weeks with our property going to a closing date and we very happy with the price we achieved. We had numerous viewers who all commented on how professional DR had been and how efficient they had been. With the majority of our viewers being known to DR we really felt that they sold our house and promoted it well. When it came to buying we were very glad to finally find our home through DR . They have made what is a very stressful time that little bit easier . All staff are extremely professional , kind and efficient . Special mention to Nicola for always being happy to help. Would definitely recommend.
