A good local and long-established estate agent

The process of selling our late parent's property was lengthy, and there were some legal complications, but Terri was always calm, steady and positive. It was reassuring to know she was available at the end of the phone, always cheerful, and managing to liaise throughout with all the various parties involved. We got there in the end! Was looking for a place and was amazingly helped at every step by the amazing team at Phipps and Pritchard. Pasco was interactive and paid attention to every enquiry I had during the viewing. Carmela was quick and available anytime to clear out any doubts I had and to guide me at every step of the way with documentation which can be quite a hassle. Gemma was the person who organized all my details meticulously and made the moving in process so much easier than I imagined. The whole booklet containing all the documents along with a whole inventory of the house explaining each and every thing is extremely helpful. I purchased a property through Phipps & Pritchard, completing in November 2024. The entire team, and Hayley in particular, were exceptionally attentive and professional. They ensured all my enquiries were promptly relayed to the seller, which made the process much smoother. Buying property can be incredibly stressful, but having Hayley and her team on hand was hugely reassuring. I've had some very negative experiences with estate agents in the past, but working with Hayley & team was an absolute breath of fresh air. I rented a property from the Kidderminster branch for around 4 years and have nothing but praise for them from start to finish. The very few maintenance issues I encountered during my tenancy were dealt with swiftly and the agents were fantastic at communicating with the landlord on my behalf and vice versa. Very professional team and always pleasant. Generally easy and smooth process to rent with them, then in a bit of a bizarre turn of events, minutes after I picked up the keys to my new rental (from Carmela, who was lovely) my cars handbrake went and my parked car crashed dramatically into a wall nearby. Carmela was there in seconds and mother-henned me in my complete shock and tears. The entire team at P&P were there for me to help with logistics and calming me down, the ladies were so sweet with me. I don’t know how I would’ve managed that day without them. Thank you all for being such stellar human beings, even called me the next day to check in and got me the CCTV for me from the local garage to help with my insurance. Grateful beyond words. We viewed a property through them and had an agreement in principle accepted, which they confirmed in an email while we awaited the sale of our own property. We understand that this was an agreement in principle, and if another offer came in that could proceed, the property could be sold. We forwarded the email to our estate agent so they could inform potential buyers that we had this agreement. Then one morning, while checking the property market, we noticed that this property had been sold subject to contract. We were disappointed that they hadn’t informed us of this, and we found out this way. We contacted the office, and they said someone would get back to us, but no one did. There seems to be a pattern there. They appear very friendly, but as soon as you’re not of used to them, their tone changes. 2 Cardinal Drive

Absolutely nothing but trouble with Phipps and Pritchard Kidderminster. The flat we rented had mould, damp and noise issues with floorboards above which one elderly couple moved out over, they then proceeded to rent the flat to a single bloke who had parties and a different girl around every week. Made numerous noise complaints and nothing was done to rectify this. On visits from our (at the time) lettings manager (who was the most unhelpful and unprofessional person I have ever dealt with) it was noted we were taking the necessary measures to sort this. I had sent them pictures of the skin allergies we had due to the dampness of our bedroom. We even moved from the large room to the smaller room to avoid this damp. There was condensation between the double glazing all year round. We handed in our notice and were then given an £80 bill for the damp. We were also charged for an extractor fan which was leaking and falling off the wall due to damp which we assured us we wouldn’t be charged for. And although they now say we aren’t being charged, we haven’t been shown exact quotes what we are being charged for despite asking 3 times. It has now been 26 days since we handed the keys back and we still haven’t got our deposit. Regardless of whether they were acting on behalf of the landlord, they were extremely unhelpful from the moment we moved in.NegativeProfessionalism
