Very poor communication I had to ask them to put on the write up that I had off rd parking & as its a terraced house that should've been obvious. Then I had a viewing & they didn't have my key as one of the agents was off sick & she had the key.That is a serious breach of security.

I would like to thank Tadas Orlovas (Lettings Manager) and Kyah Wright (Instructions Manager) at Connells Kettering branch for the excellent service they both provided during the letting and subsequent sale of my property in Kettering which has been particularly appreciated as I live overseas. I contacted Tadas in July 2023 as I had a number of rental issues which were difficult to deal with from overseas and Tadas immediately offered to manage the tenancy for me. He visited the property and scheduled a meeting with me to plan the repairs and refurbishments which were needed, provided quotations from contractors and established a good relationship with the tenants, so that the work was soon completed, He has been supportive and very easy to work with, and provided also me with good advice based on his years of experience in the property industry. As I wished to sell the property, Tadas introduced me to Kyah Wright who offered to manage the sales process for me. From our first conference call I felt that Kyah would be the perfect person to handle the sale for me as she has a friendly and enthusiastic personality and a very positive attitude. She is a good listener and understood my priority to sell the property as quickly as possible due to my living overseas, she visited the property straight away, provided a valuation and an action plan and immediately had the property on the market. After a brief period with some viewers but no buyers, she recommended the Modern Method of Auction with Iam-sold which I decided to try, and introduced me to Emma and Esme who managed my case for Iam-sold. This resulted in a large number of viewings and a bid which I have accepted which is thanks to the efforts of Kyah, Emma and Esme who worked together very well and proved to be an excellent team. I am grateful to Tadas and Kyah for the support they have provided me with and I am happy to record my thanks for all their efforts on my behalf, they have both been a pleasure to work with.

As a landlord, I would strongly advise against using this estate agent. We initially used them to let out our property. Later, we instructed them to handle the sale, but after six months of repeated chasing, we discovered the purchaser didn’t even have the correct deposit documentation. The agent had known this all along yet failed to inform us, wasting months of our time and delaying the sale unnecessarily. We eventually had to pull out of the sale and move to another, far more professional agent. To make matters worse, we also discovered that the previous tenants had left hardware on the driveway, which the agents had never dealt with or even mentioned. When we raised this, they simply said it wasn’t their problem, despite having been responsible for managing the property. Their lack of communication, accountability, and basic professionalism has been shocking. Absolutely useless, I would not recommend this company to any landlord.

A big thank you to Matthew and his team in assisting me to sell my property. Having purchased the property through Connells, I was delighted with their service and became a happy buy to let landlord with them. 7 years on, my tenants happily moved on and I decided to sell the property. Thanks to Matthews knowledge & experience of the property market at the time, I was advised that a 'Modern Method Auction' might be the most effective and secure way to market the property. These are bad faith actors, I already regretfully entered into a contract with them, I guess my next year would probably be spent chasing citizens advice and the council. I would not recommend renting from them. I was told the previous tenant renting the house I moved into, moved two weeks prior to my move-in date, yet I met a house filled with mold and grime. I expressed that I wanted some repairs before moving in and I was reassured that it would be done before my move-in date, yet I was meant with extreme disappointment. It is the first time I wi have this experience in the UK. I have always rented from private landlords and it has gone well for me, this is the first time I would be renting from an agency and it has been a massive let down. Rent with them at your own risk.

We went with Connells when buying our house and Abigail who works here is our mortgage broker. All of the staff there are so polite and helpful including Abigail who is extremely understanding and supportive. We weren't sure that going with a mortgage broker was the right decision, but it most certainly was and we are so over the moon with the response times and treatment we have recieved. All staff are happy to help when they can anyway, and they are all very informative and polite. I would 100% recommend Connells to anyone looking at buying or even selling a house!

Extremely Disappointed, Poor Communication and Ongoing Issues We had a very frustrating experience with the Connells Kettering branch (especially from Darragh, Tadas). Over the past six months, communication has been consistently poor, with numerous emails and enquiries left unanswered. We were repeatedly given empty promises that someone would get back to me, but follow-up rarely, if ever, happened. What’s even more disappointing is that, despite the tenancy ending, we still having to chase them just to get the deposit back. The lack of responsiveness and accountability has made the whole process unnecessarily stressful. I would not recommend this branch based on our experience. If you’re looking for clear communication and professional service, I suggest looking elsewhere.
