The Kempston Goodacre’s team are very pleasant and helpful. My house was a challenge sold then buyers pulled out and didn’t sell for another 4 months so I got to know the team well. When it came to day of moving Lauren was outstanding with trying to get the move completed. I was given a date and removers booked for my buyers and me and were loading vans when we were told move was not going ahead. Lauren was very helpful in perusing a move date and I moved 2 days later. Charis managed to get the full asking price so well done Charis. I would thoroughly recommend the Goodacre’s estate agents

Illeagal letting, no planning permission, shared electricity supply between flats. Cannot get proof of address as it doesn't exist. Forged gas cert, shared gas supply. No fire escapes for upstairs flat. Cannot get mail, passport and driving licence both returned to sender as address does not exist! Goodacres tell me that THEY are just "caught up in the middle of this". No you rented the property to me, you assured me the planning and services would be sorted out 3 months ago. Ive been here since OCT 25, waiting for you to come good on your promises. Damage to your reputation seems to be all you are interested in. If anything in this message is a lie, please respond and let me know.

So impressed with Goodacres Residential. I had read good reviews about them but was so thrilled when my house sold in just 2 days close to the asking price! I would like to thank Jack, Tyler and the rest of the team. Just before the first national lockdown in March 2019, we started looking for a larger house online. I looked up getagent.co.uk and chose 3 estate agents to value my house. Jack from Goodacres Residential gave me the highest valuation as “offers in region of”. After a lot of searching we found a new build property we liked from Bellway. They offered a “move assist “ scheme where they would help sell our house using two estate agents. They would pay for estate agent fees and give us incentives. They used a third party called The New Homes Group (TNHG) which also arrange mortgages. We had to have our house valued again by 3 estate agents chosen by TNHG on the basis of selling our house within 4 to 6 weeks. Once they received the valuations, they informed us that we have 2 options: 1) Put our house on the market with asking price £7,500 less than the one recommended by Jack. Bellway will reserve the house we wanted for us for 6 weeks 2) Put our house on the market with a higher asking price with the risk of losing the house we wanted to buy I asked them if I could have my own choice of estate agents and TNHG said I can. I immediately called up Jack and he said he would stand by his earlier assessment. I informed TNGH that I wanted Goodacres to sell my property and another of there choice. Jack came to my house on Tuesday 1st September at 9am to take pictures. By 12pm my house was online. Immediately I got a call from Goodacres that I had a viewing at 5pm the same day. I then got more calls saying I had 2 viewings on Wednesday, another 2 on Thursday and one on Friday. On Thursday 3rd September I got a phone call from the TNHG that I received an offer through Goodacres from a first time buyer. I immediately informed them the offer was too low and it needs to be close to asking price. TNHG came back to me saying they have received a final offer of £2,500 less than the asking price. Part of me thought let’s wait until Friday and another part didn’t want to lose the house from Bellway. I quickly discussed with my wife and we decided to sell. I think it's fair to say that we had our fair share of ups and downs when it came to moving house. That said, Goodacres worked their absolute socks off to ensure we got the end result we worked so hard for. A special mention to Tyler (Assistant Manager) for all of the work that he put in - I cannot even imagine the hours he clocked up trying to get our sale/purchase sorted. Lied to for the last 4 weeks. I have been told they didn’t have access to a property listed with them on Rightmove on 8 different occasions over this period. We haven’t made offers on properties or progressed our search while waiting for a call back which they promised they would. Only to find out today that the property was sold after the first viewing the day after it was listed. Can’t give less than 1 star unfortunately.

Gooodacres was amazing with the purchase of my first home. I am registered disabled and needed good wheelchair access around the property which I knew would not be an easy property to find having viewed several with another local estate agents, who in hindsight, were useless in comparison to Goodacres. My initial enquiry was dealt with by a lady called Lucy Hopper and she would not rest until she had found me something suitable! Lucy was giving me regular updates with new properties that were coming in and that suited my really quite specialist needs. She negotiated me a fantastic deal with the seller and was never difficult to get hold of if I had any questions (which was a lot!) she was very patient with me throughout and kept me up to date every step of the process. If I could give 10 stars I would! Mrs Hopper deserves a pay rise!!

There was a lot of interest in the property and we received the wonderful news that we had been selected as one of the potential candidates. Our application was processed and references were completed quickly and we were set to move the following month. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had with a letting agent. After paying a £340 holding deposit and submitting complete documentation (3 incomes, subcontractor letter, and savings), I was promised a 31st May move-in date. The agency failed to communicate that my self-employment status could be an issue, and they never asked for savings until the day before move-in. I had already left my old property and now have nowhere to go, and no apology or solution has been offered. Avoid at all costs. I’ve submitted a complaint to the Property Redress Scheme.
