Very pleased with the service provided by Oakhill . We wanted to put our house on the letting market and got recommended to speak to Oakhill . Right from our first interaction, they came across as very honest, professional and responsive. Within a few days time they turned around all the actions (photography, marketing etc) and our house was listed on key websites immediately. We also had the first set of viewings on the following weekend and our house was put on rent. The swiftness of the Oakhill team and their work ethic allowed for us to be absolutely stress free in a situation which can otherwise be tense. They also manage the property for us and I am very impressed by their turnaround times and proactive ness.

Be very careful when dealing with this estate agent. I am a first time buyer and was looking to buy a new build flat. They showed me a new build property that was not finished. It was on ground floor. I was told that the outside garden is private and will have high fences. I paid a £500 holding deposit. Not only the property was not completed by the time I was told, the garden was half finished with very low fences that made the garden completely exposed to the public. The agency didn't even give me the terms and conditions for the deposit I paid (that they are required by law to give to you when you pay a deposit for any new build properties) and when I questioned the fences not being as described they told me that we never said anything about the fences. They would lie to you and teld all you want to hear just to sell to you. After finding out that the garden wuld be completely exposed my wife didn't feel safe to live there and we were no longer interested in buying that flat. Even though they knew they were not truthful about the fences and that i had the rights to withdraw my offer, they never paid back my £500 deposit back. If you want to buy a property, or rent stay away from Oakhill estate agents, that's if you want to deal with honest people, because you won't find them in here. After posting this I get threatened by one of the partners, here is their response: Dear Mr Far It is a shame you have decided to publish such a negative review. For clarity, Oakhill do not benefit from your deposit. The developer has taken your reservation deposit because you withdrew from the purchase some considerable time after reserving the property. We have suggested that you pursue your deposit via the developers solicitor which you have chosen not to do. The Oakhill team have not misled you and the property was always to be built with iron railings rather than fence panels, as shown in advertising photos. This is a clear case of defamation, and we will be taking legal action to seek compensatory damages based on this defamation should this review not be removed within seven days of the date of this email. I must advise you that any costs incurred in instructing our solicitors after the seven days, and any legal costs will be held against you for settlement. Kind regards, A. W. Partner
