I approached Savills in October 2021 to sell my house, which had been rented out. Work commitments meant that I was unable to participate directly in the selling process, so I asked them to run the entire process. The team (Peter Ogilvie, Alex McNabb and Alison Dunn) gave me good professional advice regarding the sales strategy, co-ordinated and carried out viewings, supervised the bidding process and achieved, within a week of my putting the house on the market, an agreed sale price of 20% over my initial asking price. Reaching completion took longer than anticipated but Savills - particularly Alex - kept me in the loop throughout the process and drove matters forward on my behalf. I am very happy with the professional service that they have provided - way better than previous experience with estate agents had lead me to expect - at a commission cost that was competitive with the market as a whole. I would happily recommend them.

Despite a very traumatic legal process and complications with the developer on the day of moving in ( moved in end of November 18 but only legally owned house mid February 19) Sarah Walsh was excellent . Very pleased with Tom Orford’s advice on pricing and marketing strategy given tough market conditions. The marketing glossy and listings on Rightmove / On the Market looked good and read well. Savills were receptive to suggestions about text and photographs - the photographer they used was pleasant and talented. Viewings were quickly generated and well conducted by Gay Stacpoole the house-shower We were pleased to be Under Offer so quickly. Tom and then Katy Stephenson gave us tremendous service as we moved through to Exchange including dealing with a rather difficult buyer’s solicitor. All in all we are very pleased we chose Savills. Three months from listing to exchange is impressive in the current market. The only small point I’d make is Tom could have been clearer ahead of time about who would be our point of contact over the Christmas period while he was away.
