I would have put zero stars if I could, if you want sell your property, please go elsewhere as they lowered the price of my property without consulting me and very very very poor photography does not show the potential of the house avoid at all cost.

I bought a property a week ago and there is too many things missing the contract which connels group lawyers gave me the was tottely deffrent and the property was tottely deffrent when i went to view and when i bought now i am just waiting for them replies and cant do anything just waste of money hundered and sixty thousand pound please be aware dont waste your money like me i am stuck now cant do anything just waiting and i know snd of the day nothing because i paid and the property is mine now so please just becare full and dnt trust them specially there contract paperes.

Rude & unprofessional

Had my property for sale with another agent. Burchell Edwards got in touch with me as they must have seen my house up for sale. They were very pushy, & made me feel very uncomfortable. One of the instances I was called by an overexcitable young sales person. I told him that the nonsense they were talking and the way in which they “sales pitched at me” had put me off the company as a whole. I asked him then and there to not contact me again. They continued over the last few weeks to try to contact me. 3 different phone numbers contacting me at different times, way too frequently for my liking. Very intrusive and annoying. I was ignoring their calls and answerphone messages, they just wouldn’t take the hint. Just ended up ringing back to tell them to stop calling. & ended up having a row with a guy who was extremely rude and very unprofessional. Needless to say, moving forward, I’ll never go anywhere near this company.

Avoid rude and unprofessional !!!!!

As a landlord I found them unprofessional and very rude, not calling me back, not passing on messages from my tenants and then once you do get through to someone they either do not know what they are doing or they are very, very rude. Once I decided to take my properties else where I was told with an attitude, I have to give 6 months notice to leave ! They have also sold me services that were very bad like a Zero Deposit scheme and the tenant reviews just say N/A on most of the questions !

Appalling service and that's a compliment. They never answer the phone or return calls. Gave them my house to sell but they failed on everything. Took weeks to arrange photographs then lost them for weeks. Waited weeks for a sale board to be told we had refused it (never did). Told me the property was live on the net, had to go to the shop to find they had forgotten to upload it. Missed loads of detail about the property which I had to point out. NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. Guys if you don't answer when I call, you're not answering potential buyers either. Decided to cancel the contract as it wasn't fit for purpose. Except, they have messed around and dragged it out. They (Carl especially) us a total waste of time Avoid this company if you want to sell your house

After having a tough year dealing with Kidney Cancer & several Ops. Conor & the branch have gone far above & beyond in dealing with the sale of my Ilkeston house. The property threw up some doosey curveballs during the sale. And as I physically couldn't get to the property. Conor & the branch stepped up and dealt with the issues that popped up, many of which were genuinely far beyond the normal scope that any other selling agent would have considered. Not once, or even twice, but many times during the sale they helped me get things resolved that wouldn't have been possible otherwise. For that reason I have zero doubt that without their help, this sale would not be happening. Thanks everyone. I really appreciate you all.

Having been casually browsing the market for a few years we finally came across our dream house… but our house wasn’t yet on the market! Maddie from the Ilkeston branch came to our rescue and had our house listed within a day. Viewings done 2 days later, offer received and accepted 2 days after this. This enabled us to put an offer on our new forever home which was accepted the same day! Our sale went through with no problems and we were regularly updated throughout the process by our Customer Liaison Manager Alison. We are now settled in our new family home and can’t believe how lucky we are. None of this would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the Burchell Edwards team. Absolutely the best estate agency I've worked with. I'm a tenant and found my new flat through them. Chelsea and Amber have been extremely helpful and went above and beyond what was expected to help me and my partner through every step of the process. Very sweet and helpful ladies. The application process was quick and easy, everything was sorted pretty much within a week. They're very quick to respond if you need any help. Great agency overall, haven't had any issues whatsoever with them. They even gave us a cute care package with little goodies. Highly recommend them!

ABsolute shambles from start to finish…

ABsolute shambles from start to finish as a potential buyer. Went to view a property they were selling in Chelmsley (an area I know well and that has a number of roads that are non-standard construction). I arrive at the viewing to be `welcomed` by the least enthusiastic sales person I have ever met. Grunted a greeting at me and barely opened the door for me to view. 'Is the property standard construction?' I ask. 'Yes, it is', says grunty. I like the property and make an offer to be told the next day that, actually, now he has double checked the property is non-standard construction and unmortgagable! That's OK, I say, I've got £100k lying around doing nothing so why don't we use that. NOT! Must be licence to print money at the moment being an estate agent if this is anything to go by. When I asked why they don't tell potential buyers the status of the property from the outset he then blamed it on the poor little old guy who is selling the property saying that he didn't want to put people off! Disgraceful service from start to finish.

Nightmare after nightmare

Nightmare after nightmare ! Didn’t learn the first time ! I can’t wait to leave them ! They cannot manage anything sadly . They promised 3 checks and I have 1 ! I have to rent house whilst looking after my mum who is palliative and I am taking care of her . After explaining the reason for a decrease in the management fee , I was Shocked how I got an email from Amanda digging that it was obviously going to affect me loosing out on 87p per day ! Anyone who has read the email all took it alot worse than I did ! Landlords beware ! Sweet talk you into it but then that’s it !

Lies and Manipulation

This is a message to tenant's. Please go elsewhere, find a different house. If MOLLY has done your viewing run a mile. She lies, says things are included in the tenency that aren’t then denies it once you are in the house. ALEXANDRA - Uses annual leave for her excuse to not replying constantly. To my record she was off 3 weeks in November and 2 weeks in December. She lies, she gaslights, she has no intention of responding to you. She ignores complaints, enquiries and request to escalate above her. She does not respond to senior staff at Connells or Burchell Edwards. And has even suggested to me that there is no management above her to complain to as she is the letting agent. This is after telling me she had requested the area management gets in touch with me…….three months later and after more request to escalate my complaint Adam gets in touch. Clueless of the situation. ADAM CLIFF - Area Manager constantly searching for excuses for his staff’s mismanagement and lies. Seems to spend his time trying to de value and dismiss my complaints rather than resolving them. He told me Molly and Alexandra denied telling me certain things were included. And that it was my word against theirs. Sent him emails as proof which he has ignored. And continues his argumentative and dismissive style of communication daily. This could have been solved months ago but Burchell Edwards culture seems to be a manipulation and delay response approach. This is nurtured from middle management down to apprentice. Landlords please give your tenants a chance and stay away from this company. Tenants have little choice what letting agent they end up with. Also it would seem that we are in a managed property that has been completely mismanaged by Burchell Edwards and they are passing the responsibility on to the landlord costing her a fortune. PLEASE GIVE THIS COMPANY A MISS if you do end up going with them my advice would be to communicate only in writing so there is a paper trail. Don’t ask question on the viewing ask them via email afterwards so you have answers in writing.

Absolutely Shocking company who done EICR report .We gave the our house to estate to rent out. Which needed EICR report so Burchell Edwards (Mansfield) who Hired electrician (B&P Electrical Installation Ltd) through Vibrant energy who quoted £1100 for the repair to pass the EICR.Then found out Electrician only quoted £649 for repair but Burchell Edward and Vibrant Energy added their commissionmore than 60%.But the fun fact was that the property didn't require much repair at all. The New EICR and repair was done only for £120.
