What a fantastic hardworking team of people. There were two people especially that made our dreams come true Melanie & Holly. Melanie was our very first point of contact when looking to purchase & it was her determination and understanding for both us and the vendors that a sale was agreed, from there Holly took over and yet again Holly had her work cut out to proceed a sale from Scotland to England, liaising constantly between all parties & solicitors with extremely tight deadlines but this lady delivered against all odds. From start to finish the team in the office were brilliant, from Louis showing us around our dream home and helping us to navigate negotiating, to Sienna keeping everything moving and updating us. Special thanks to Sienna for keeping us updated in the very stressful few days when we were waiting to exchange- she was the first person in the process to contact us (even before the agents working on our sale) about what was happening. It was really appreciated, even when the update was that there was no update! She kept things moving and helped to keep the chain informed. It has been a long journey to find the right house, and throughout the entire time, Jeanette Down and Kelly Murray were absolutely supportive and professional. They kept me regularly updated about new rental properties on the market with a friendly, warm approach each time. During that period, I also visited other estate agents in Barnstaple for updates, but none were as friendly, pleasant, and professional as Jeanette and Kelly, nor did they have new houses coming to their portfolio as regularly. We have always been extremely pleased with their level of service. The manager, Karl, has really gone the extra mile for us during our years with Bond Oxborough. More recently, we dealt with Callum at the Ilfracombe office for the sale of the flat. We completed on the sale and were very pleased with the quality of buyers on their books. I was very pleased with Bond Oxborough in Ilfracombe . I dealt mainly with Anna Kenna whom I would highly recommend. She was efficient , friendly and always willing to answer any questions , however minor ! Always returned your calls if she was out of the office, when I rang .The others were efficient in forwarding my messages , also very willing to offer help and knowledge . However I always wanted to discuss with her because of her approach . I found her approach was just the right balance and her straightforward attitude was so unlike many salespersons ! We have been looking for a property in the area, I sent an email request for some details on a flat that looked interesting. Callum Bell, called me back to check on the request, followed up with a pleasant email. He arranged to meet with us at short notice as we were returning home the next day, he took us to the property. He also assisted us with advice on parking as we did not know the area. The flat that we viewed was not quite right for us, however Callum had details of another house close by, he took us to the house that was much more to our liking. I feel that Callum got an understanding of the type of thing we had in mind, he has continued to keep us updated with new properties. Extremely poor communication and lack of trust. as a buyer, treated terribly. Confirmed an offer, only to gazump with a higher bid, without getting back to me. When asked why this had happened - told 'well the other buyer got their ID in quicker than you'. I said I was ready to go, but now didn't trust viewing properties marketed by them, in case it happened again. Disgusting immature response. No follow up. Pretty sure the seller doesn't realise their unethical practices. I will now not view any properties marketed by them, as I will not trust their purchase process.
