GoogleRecently move into our new property in Kirkburton. The staff at reeds rains were helpful and and quick to respond to our requirements. Sam and Emma were wonderful and Molly gave us loads of advice. Would definitely rent through them again!!! 5 STARS

GoogleWell where do I start.I was only with them for a few months but was constantly up against it when I decided to leave the property. It took 5 months to finally get my deposit back with me having to get the correct information and make endless phone calls which for some reason was too difficult for reeds to do.The lack of compassion and professionalism from certain people and the missed relevant information from which I could easily find out but they apparently could not, made for very stressful times.It seems my tenancy was not classed as important enough to help me but everything was geared up for the Landlord. Thankfully the info that I obtained supported all my points and the deposit was returned along with compensation due to Reeds continual misinformation.

GoogleI am a Portfolio Landlord. I have always used Reeds Rains, Huddersfield to find suitable tenant. Ben, Sam and Emma have always been very approachable and are very knowledgeable. They are the only letting I know, who still manage to inspect the property before tenants move in. Arrange viewing, saw the flat and liked it so I put a deposit down and hoped there would be no issues. 6 weeks later, the day before getting the keys they finally got the contract over demanding it be signed asap. I told them I wanted to ensure it was all in order and saw there was a rent review clause that could be invoked after 6 months so asked for it to be taken out as I was renting for 12 months and wanted to be sure the rent would be fixed for this period. They refused and then refused to give me my deposit back. Please be wary of paying a deposit with out knowing the T&Cs or they will take your money and you will not get it back. I'd avoid these people since there are other good agents in the area.NegativeQuality

GoogleMATTHEW CHARNOCK (mortgage adviser at reeds rains estate agents) is the BEST mortgage adviser you can get!!!... He is so informative and extremely helpful, very very knowledgable - and points you in the ABSOLUTE CORRECT DIRECTION, gets you the best mortgage deal and if your wanting to get life insurance with your mortgage, and buliding insurance (which you NEED anyway), with any mortgage, then this matthew charnock WILL GET YOU THE BEST DEAL AND THE PUT YOU WITH THE MOST REPUTABLE LIFE INSURER AND BULIDING INSURER. 11 out of 10 to Matthew Charnock!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙂

GoogleWould not use again, just interested in their commission, regardless of price achieved or sellers requirements. Sales Administration very poor. Negotiator hopeless, added no value to offers just wanted to sell the house regardless of price achieved, even tried to get us to drop the price, despite 3 offers in 2 months and we stuck to our guns did nt reduce price and sold for 96% of asking price! Would use Internet based estate agency next time, as no added value to the sale of property and charge 4 times as much.. disappointed.

To the same address within the last 6 months… Sending spam mail to random addresses… if people wanted to sell a house I’m sure they could do it without a junk piece of paper pushed through their letterbox? Also claiming a 4.6* out of 5 (on Google) yet my local branch has a 3.6* rating.

GoogleCustomer service was absolutely fantastic, both Molly and Emma were lovely and so helpful. But the fees for renting were at least double than ANY other company I've EVER used. The referencing fees were exuberant

GoogleThe whole process of renting a property, whilst obviously not entirely stress free, was made as manageable as possible due to the efforts of the staff involved. Ben in particular went out of his way to ensure that I was up to speed on all developments and was even willing to talk me through the paper filling activities. Thank you

GooglePoor. Pretty much wasted 4 months of our time. Poor communication (failing to call us back or pass on feedback from viewings), slow to make changes to the website (which they'd got wrong) and not pro-active at all in trying to sell our house - we went the best part of 2 months without even hearing from them. We also had negative feedback about our photos looking overly glossy and photoshopped. I wouldn't recommend. Going elsewhere. Update: Sold our house within 2 days of moving to a different estate agent.

GoogleI went to view a property to rent .(NETHERWOOD CLOSE HUDDERSFIELD) The following day i received a call from Sam the lettings manager. I said i would like to proceed in renting the property. The current occupaints were due to move out on the 15/10/2017. I said i would be able to work round this and be as flexible as possible. Sam phoned me the following day to say he was having problems contacting the owner to which i replied no worries please let me no when you get hold of them, i'm ready to pay for your credit check costs . I have called today as a week has passed to be told the house has been let to another person. My notes state i had no further interest in the property???? Will not nor ever will in the future deal with an organisation that cannot be bothered to keep in touch with customers. SHOCKING EXPERIENCE PLEASE AVOID!!! Steve

GoogleAbsolute joke of a service. I was essentially promised a house to let, the landlady agreed on a price but then was messed around for over a week due to various excuses. Now I am told she has found a tenant offering a higher price and no longer wants my business. Refused to take any blame in the situation. Having relied on this house, I now am struggling to find a property elsewhere. I continually had to chase issues up with Reeds Rains, after promising phone calls I found myself calling them numerous times and spending lengthy amounts of times on hold. Maybe you will have more luck actually buying a property where they'll make more money from you but they have absolutely no regard for students. Avoid!

GoogleThe Huddersfield branch of reeds rain are awful to deal with, not only does it take around 3-5 minutes of constant ringing for them to eventually answer the phone, but they persistently give the wrong postcodes, we were given 3 different postcodes for one property, subsequently, we canceled all other viewings we had with reeds rain Huddersfield. When we finally got to the one and only property we ended up viewing with reeds rain, we were greeted by Paul, who persistently mentioned that we were late (possibly due to the 3 different postcodes), and couldn't tell us if it was a combi boiler or just central heating boiler... It was the latter. All in all, not a very pleasant experience after travelling over 2 hours, the property was nice with lots of potential, but needless to say we were not interested.
