Updated review 10th Feb 2026 If you’re a land lord avoid this company at all costs. We have been renting our flat out via them for roughly 6 months. Every month apart from one they have withheld payment. We have had to ring and email multiple times to which we get no replies. It is currently Monday and I emailed last Thursday & Friday to Jack Taggart & Wes and neither have had the decency to respond. I also left a voice mail for them on Saturday and spoke to a colleague of theirs on Saturday who confirmed he will get Wes or Jack to ring me first thing monday. First thing Monday has been and gone and nothing. I left another voice mail and finally have been called back. Now it is Tuesday and still no payment has been made to us. I have put a formal complaint in to the property ombudsman regarding this company as there is clearly a cash flow issue hence them not paying landlords. If you are having the same issue I would advise to email them with your issues as well as phone so you have a paper trail to submit as evidence. Since my last review someone else who rents their property via Jack Taggart reached out and said she was having the exact same issue regarding getting paid rent, so appears to be an issue with in the company.

My first time renting and would highly recommend Jack Taggart. We had struggled finding places as it was so competitive and with pets made it even harder. Callie from Jack Taggart got straight back to us and we managed to arrange a speedy viewing same day! We were able to secure the apartment and found the whole process really easy. Callie is brilliant very helpful, responding to my emails quickly and helped me through the renting process by taking her time and making it easy for me to understand.

Generally an extremely poor service from day one, very unresponsive and unhelpful. Once again no call back today as requested to resolve an ongoing issue that nobody seems to be interested. I phoned the office, I was told Jack Taggart would call me back in 15 -20 minutes, an hour later I called back to be informed he's gone home for the day, hardly surprising. The last several times that I have asked to be called, nobody has contacted me. I have never dealt with such an unhelpful lettings company.

The team at Jack Taggart, including Jack himself, went above and beyond to support us not only on our purchase of one of the properties they had with them, but also pushing to speed up our property's sale process being managed by another agency. They were constantly chasing people throughout the entire chain to make sure everyone was doing all that was possible to move forward as quickly as we could. All emails were replied to with no delays, even after the process had completed making us sure they were there to help with whatever we needed.

I very unexpectedly found myself looking for a new flat to rent earlier this year and for the most part it was quite a demoralising experience. From my first contact with the agency (after which I literally made a note in my RightMove app that the agency seemed amazing), to securing a home and now being here a couple of months, I have been blown away. Every individual I have dealt with has been great, but it is in particular Wes, who has really impressed me throughout the process. He is incredibly attentive (even phoning to check in whilst on paternity leave) and any issues I've had, he has swiftly dealt with. Moving is such a stressful process and the team at Jack Taggart and Co made it far less so for me. I have never known an estate agency to be so engaged and really seem to care about their tenants. If you're looking for an agency that will treat you as an individual and will work with you, it really is worth contacting Jack Taggart and Co.

Currently renting our property out to tenants but refusing to pay us the rent. Tenants moved in on 2nd and have paid the rent so it isn’t an issue with them. We have spent all week ringing Jack Taggart asking when we will be paid and keep getting told different things. Customer service is a joke and I would avoid them if you’re planning on renting out your property. Didn’t want to leave a negative review but currently our property is getting rented out by them and they are not paying us and keeping the tenants payment.

I had an awful experience with this agent to the point where I have complained to The Property Ombudsman. The owner was very unprofessional, arrogant and pushy while I was trying to purchase a property. Knotweed was found within 7m of the property and I was waiting for a treatment plan to be put in place before proceeding which made him very impatient. He even put the property back on the market without notifying me when I had already paid for the survey, solicitor etc.

Wes was really interested and helpful in the process of renting the flat. I appreciate his effort and responsiveness to e-mails. The flat price was increased by £50 above the normally offered price because someone else who came to look at the flat offered £50 more. That was the only negative side for me. That's why I'm deducting 1 star. I didn't think it would turn into an auction. I haven't moved into the flat yet. Based on ongoing support, I may update here.

I had the best experience from Jack Taggart and Co. They were all very professional helping me to go through all the processes to get my current house. The response in all of my emails was super fast and the people working there are very friendly and nice. All the processes were done electronically and fast and they have services that do all the work for you in terms of contacting the council and utility companies. Jack is the best Estate Agent that I have ever come across. We had a very complex sale. Jack took personal ownership of the sale and used his wide network of contacts to sell our property commercially. There were many curveballs that were thrown our way. We have had the worst experience renting a property through this agent. The property is not fit for rental. A new build where the roof leaks, 7 weeks later and its still leaking. Water in tanks under the house that smell of sewage, Solar panels that dont work, lights that stay on, doors that scrape the floor, damp in the bedrooms. on taking hte keys we were fobbed of that its 30degrees in there as someone left the heating on. The heating was left on to try and dry a wet ceiling out from a roof leak that they denied ever happened. An inventory that we send an additional 120 photos with that where missed. Callie, was not helpful, apart from when she told us the roof had stopped leaking ( because it stopped raining)no shit sherlock!!! Promises after promises and cowboy builders who do nothing....... All 4 house in the terrace have the same issues and we are all being treated the same way. no respect and no remedy.
