Very poor experience with Facebook

Very poor experience with Facebook, having had my profile account hacked and then suspended due to the hacker activity on the hacked account. Everything happened so quickly I couldn't secure the account in time. No appeal allowed so all of my work of years in my profile, my originated pages and my groups was all wiped away in a moment by Facebook. I'm unsure exactly what got posted to my account resulting in account suspension as evidently I wasn't in full sole control of the account for some time leading up to then. I acted too slow to attempt account recovery myself by going in to secure the account by password change to stop the hacker who had obtained access into the account. Likely my pin wasn't sufficient as I'd possibly inadvisably used the same PIN code for a long duration of time and in a few different places online. I'd become aware in the past week of friends locally phoning me saying there were other accounts pretending to be me contacting them by their messenger. I told them to ignore as definitely wasn't me contacting them and asking for money loans etc. I should have thought to secure account then really. I assumed it was just a cloning of account in Messenger somehow or other so that my contacts were hacked. Then I began to realise there were postings mostly not noticeable immediately as were not to my page but into my groups pages, supposedly looking like me posting it. But things that I definitely hadn't posted. And wouldn't have posted. Lots of spam picture posts especially promoting brands and items looking like China made goods.That's when I realised I'd been account fully compromised and hacked into. I went immediately then in urgency to my page to try to change passwords on the account. To try to regain control of the account. And was met with a suspended account message giving me no access to try to even attempt to change passwords to secure the account. It invited me to appeal, which I did do, and which was the only thing I really could do in the situation immediate. As the suspension effectively closed off any access otherwise to the messenger, my account profile page and into any groups I was in. So I was unable to warn anyone else friends or group members wise of what had happened. And obviously due to account suspension I couldn't relay what was happening to Facebook. This has just all happened too quickly for me to counter the account hack. I'm unsure if there's anything I can do to contact Facebook to relay to them what had happened in the hacking of account. Very upsetting and depressing experience, first targeted by the hacker then felt like Facebook attacking me too also.I won't ever trust them again.

Big Issue ❌ / MetaPay company ❌

Hi,Recently, my friend experienced an unauthorized withdrawal of 90 dollars from her bank account. The transaction was made to a company called MetaPay without her consent !!!!Despite multiple attempts to contact Facebook support, we received no assistance. I find it alarming and unacceptable that such a transaction could occur without any authorization.I have officially submitted all the necessary documents from the bank and screenshots to both Facebook and MetaPay. However, I am yet to receive a satisfactory response. I specifically asked if this transaction was related to MetaPay and Facebook, but my queries remain unanswered !!!!!It’s frustrating that despite providing all the necessary evidence, I am not receiving any clear answers. My bank has confirmed that the money was indeed transferred to MetaPay company.Why was money withdrawn from the account without any permission? This is a serious concern that needs immediate attention.It’s disappointing that these companies lack basic customer support facilities like online chat or phone support. I believe such companies should be held accountable for their actions.I hope this issue will be addressed promptly and effectively. We need someone to provide a clear explanation for this unauthorized transaction.

My husband's Facebook sccount is still floating, I cannot get closure, trying to memoriablize the Facebook acct it's hard when all of our Facebook accounts were all hacked, try seeking help I was kicked around like a ball to no avail, meanwhile our Facebook are used by others, Shame on Facebook, every other face book created to get help is as of 2024 is flagged as violation ! There is no ! Its been a painful journey, reminded of my husband and my daughter that went missing all because some idiot hacker is using our identity. Truly upset.

A horrible, overwhelming, lonely experience

All I want, primarily, is to see my friends posts, to see my people, and to talk to them. I'd love to go back to seeing my people easily. I kind of also miss using Facebook to explore events and groups, and to find out about the world, and music and all sorts of things.But now I am not exploring, I am being force-fed a constant firehose of groups and people and stuff. It doesn't matter that it is often stuff I would enjoy finding for myself. It is constant, overwhelming, and the experience is intensely unpleasant. Ive tried blocking all the recommendations and I just can't keep up. I'm not even sure the block or hide functions even work, to be honest.Facebook is now a horrible, frustrating, overwhelming, lonely experience. One star.

Facebook - an ally for a depowered society

Since Facebook merged with Meta services, the customer's treatment in behalf of the service itself has taken a classism based on living standards (so, double standards). In less words, if you pay their adverts system, you may be even a verified, upfront service but they will never syndicate about the possible dark side. The paradox is that scammers that sell things like courses on how make money to become bilionaire, OnlyFans profiles full of half-naked girls and so on are never questioned and put on a serious verification. This company should take the motto "pecunia non olet" (money doesn't smell) very seriously. Also, compared to a more professional and serious standard like LinkedIn, they ask you a monthly payment for a verified identity.Minors, but not less important issues, are on general security concern. As IT Hardware and customer care specialist I would like to keep on guard the consumer telling to systematically avoid all the integrated game apps system inside the platform, all the games that collects your data through the personal e-mail and date of birth. The algorithm and possible AI implementation also are very limited: they will never catch the context of phrases, critical thinking and comparisons because they simply focus on the single words, and if they are in their black lists, they will automatically tear down your content in the section "tell me what you are thinking". A very subtle way to control our personal and different way of thinking. There is no escape from that, only real people, real personnel can manage this, decently and with something called "lifetime based experiences". In fact, this company doesn't know what customer's fidelity is, until the very bones. Question is: who they are to be in charge on digital identities and decide to even make money out of it, implementing a new way to express ourselves? We don't want our brain and mouth covered but their policies - that changes like chameleons when things may go bad for them - put them tight and steady on the privileged and entitled clubs. The professionals, freelancers and all the independent businesses should seriously consider that and migrate to better platforms. They had too much power simply based on popularity raise from 2007.One of the worst (after Google) companies on ethical policy and civil rights because they do their own rules bypassing the constitutions, included their HQ where the plague originally came from. Their strong cooperation with questionable "fact checkers" and pharmaceutical business (see OMS) in the last 4 yearsshould be the definitive whistle, the bell of the bells with so much strings attached. Independent journalism advised because their (even if in good faith) roles are systematically limited by the platform itself. Like Youtube with Google (the worst policies ever made). So,why keep on using it? You can't base your profession and ethics on a popular platform, a social platform that perpetrate the darkest side of social engineering. It doesn't surprise me that is full of trolls, payed or not just over there to make mess and deconstruct the critical thinking aimed to make evolutionary phases. So, beware from "revolutions". In conclusion, I suggest to anyone to suspend the account in sign of protest. It is the only way to deal effectively with those dangerous clowns at the insane side of the capitalistic rampage.

It is impossible to get any assistance…

It is impossible to get any assistance when a page is taken down for reasons that Facebook cannot even explain. There is no way to appeal or get help. After speaking with Facebook associates (which takes weeks), no one has been able to tell us what has caused the page to be unpublished to begin with. You get a list of things that could have "possibly" have happened but not detail and no suggestion as to how to fix the issue. Poor customer service all the way around.

Suspended Account

Went to send a message on messenger only to find it gad been suspended .When I went to NY Facebook account it said it was under review. Said it was associated with ab account that was closed because it went against community standards. I have no way of contacting them to let them know that if an account that is associated with my credentials that it wasn't me. I have had two accounts hacked and until recently I could not even get into them. As it was when I got into one of the accounts I thought I had deleted it ,but after reading some of the reviews I am not sure. So if either of them did go against community standards I had nothing to do with it. I don't know how they can say community standards from what I can tell there standards are non existent. I have been scammed out of hundreds of dollars. Most of the gaming sights are scammers.along with most of the market place.. Yet meta doesn't do anything about that. They leave them on there and take profiles of regular users off.Unlees that is what they against community standards .They don't want honest people .There standards are to let scanner steal your money and personal info make fake accounts .Scammners are the only ones there protecting .Meta as social media giant need to be investagated. They only care about people who are scamming people.Facebook is a joke since Meta took over. They were told my numerous people that my account had been hacked and the hackers were still using it yet they dud nothing . They hackers had control over my account for a couple of years . They were contacting my family and friends asking fir money..They even contacted my husband and son. I believe they even sold one of my accounts to someone because it was my account My cover photo was not even changed just the profile picture had changed so they were definitely using it I now have been having trouble verifying any account online .Meta let it happen did nothing didn't even suspend the account. Now they Suspended my account and I was the victim. I hope the government steps in and shuts the whole thing down. Because nothing on Facebook can be l trusted .Wirst social media sight ever. I only use it for my casinos promotional contests and to get to some of the different webinars. I am tired of being made to look like I the one that us bad when I am the victim in all this.while the real scamners get to do whatever they want and nothing or nobody does anything to stop it. If I hadthe money I would take them to court fir not doing something when about 20 or 30 different people reported that someone other then me was using my account. So I can't imagine what community standards there talking about because I haven't seen any yet..

Went to sign into my account on the 22/01/2026 to be met with the message that my account was suspended due to violating community standards in regards to sexalisation of children. I don't post pictures or videos of children. I am into historic aircraft and model trains. I was finally able to read the standard, which is written so you have almost no chance of not violating. The only reason I could find is one of my friends posted a video of there children that did not comply. So after pressing the appeal button and getting a decision in less than an hour I have been permanently banned. No chance of signing into my account and removing the offending image at all. Another victim of the Meta IA.

Facebook is turned into a garbage dump. It's full of scammers at every turn. You got scammers on the advertising you got scammers in the marketplace and you got tons of scammer profiles. Let's not forget all the women and tits and ass they're now showing and all the links to sex sites that women are putting links to. I've sent them reports on several of these but Facebook keeps saying they don't go against their guidelines and leave these sites up and these ads up. Facebook obviously doesn't care about what's on just just as long they're getting the money. Mark Zuckerberg has no morals and doesn't care about anything but his cash. Something wrong with that guy.

Facebook its social media who not allow you say what you want. They strongly controlling what you say, if they dont like your opinion they not just delete your post, they will put on your account restriction, will also limit your app functionality. I did recently test, I wrote a post about Biden and Zelensky and facebook didnt like it, they put restriction on my account, then I left exactly same post about Putin and they never blocked or delete my post, and didnt put restriction on that other account. Post was about my disagreement regarding what happens today in a world and how Biden Usa president is not right in his politician hegemony game. From this time facebook always put all my post on very bottom, no one can see them, also dating app disappeared as well. So I would say anything on this social media, and also would’t trust anything saying from this social media, as you only can see what is allowed to post from them. Avoid them

Facebook account got hacked and account recovery is trashy

Got hacked. Facebook had no security at all for someone getting into your account and changing the password and the email address. I had 2FA set up, which ironically, stopped me from entering into my account on a different device. I used Facebook to set up a business and now it's all gone and deleted. I'm over Facebook. This is the third time this has happened and I can't be bothered anymore. There's a reason Facebook is dying and I can't wait for META to crash in the stock market. Just endless loops for the account recovery and requesting messenger codes that don't get sent.

Even though they are filled with fake businesses, scammers and bot accounts whom NEVER get flagged. This website is WELL KNOWN to collect and sell your information, you've got no choice but to do it if you want to have an account with them. Twitter is no better, with their nonsense Authenticate bug annoying multiple accounts for no reason. Just communicate with people via WhatsApp or something more trustworthy, this website has become the definition of Trash.

Facebook is overrun by Ai bots posting fake Ai images of celebrities, passing them off at the real thing and then telling fans to contact them, assumably to scam them. You report the fake accounts and Facebook finds in their favour. Then there are the hackers and if you ignore all of that then you get the bot posting Amen 🙏 and happy birthday to all the fake images of deformed woman and children and since the bots are inflating the post interactions they’ll soon show on your timeline and unless you spend hours a day blocking each and every one of these fake accounts, you get bombarded with more since Facebook bots are pushing this content. It’s like scammers and spammers paradise on steroids and you can’t beat the Ai 🤖 it’s quicker and more faster than you block em or object. Some have resorted to posting x rated adult content and you report it and again Facebook keep it up including gore images.It’s time to uninstall and admit defeatGood luck out there.

Customer Service - Absolutely Awful.

My Facebook was hacked and disabled. I’ve written 475 e-mails and spent over 34 hours on the phone. I have had no resolution and the internal team keep saying I wasn’t compromised. Whenever I speak with Meta Pro, they all tell me, they can see I’ve been hacked. I don’t understand why I am paying for Meta and they cannot help me. This situation is horrible and I wish it on nobody. I lost my business and family connections from several years ago. A disgraceful company that sides with hackers.

My account was hacked, and Facebook ignore all my reports, and the hundreds of reports from my friends. They just offer to send a login code to the scammer’s email address. There is zero help from them - despite all the reports, they have now allowed the hackers to open an Instagram account on my name; what’s worse is that many of my friends have now been hacked. They absolutely don’t care. They also allow all sorts of racist and homophobic content - nothing I’ve ever reported has ever been removed. What a despicable platform.

Sames videos over and over again on facebook.I can't get away from the same videos on Facebook. It's just the same ones over and over again everytime I go on facebook. I even force it to change my videos and then 3 video down is the same video I'm testing to skip. I don't know who is in charge of facebook videos but they're doing a terrible job. Facebook Marketplace. I was looking for a home to rent longer term. There is a way to move around the map to view other places but the results are limited. I finally entered the new city manually. This was good except the map disappeared. What specifically is the point of looking for a place to live with no idea 'about' where the property is located. Presumably there is a way to bring the map view up but in typical FB fashion it is not intuitively obvious or easy to find. It would also be extremely helpful if a sort for vacation/short term or residential type/long term rentals were available. I would also remove the dumba#^es that put $1 ads on the site which waste the time of both the buyer and themselves and the FB Tech people that have to read the complaints

Extremely Disappointing Customer Support Experience with Facebook/Meta

I have been a loyal Facebook user for over 15 years, utilizing the platform for personal and professional purposes, including managing several pages and groups with thousands of followers. However, my recent experience with Facebook's customer support has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing.For the past day, I have been attempting to resolve an issue with my account, but have been unsuccessful in getting any assistance from Facebook/Meta support. Their Live Chat Support consistently displays long wait times, with messages suggesting to try again in an hour. When I finally managed to connect, the estimated two-minute wait turned into an endless loop of waiting with no response from the support staff.The most absurd aspect of this ordeal is the email notification I received stating, "For your protection, no one can see you on Facebook until you secure your account. We've also reversed some changes that were made to your two-factor authentication settings." This notification informed me that my two-factor authentication settings had been reverted to a mobile phone number that I disconnected from Facebook two years ago, rendering me unable to access my account.Despite providing my passport and alternative identification, Facebook/Meta support has been unable to verify my identity, claiming issues with my ID without specifying any details. As an IT professional with a strong understanding of security measures, I find it baffling that a platform of Facebook's magnitude fails to provide adequate customer support and account security.In addition to the ineffectiveness of their support channels, Facebook's overall decline in quality since the transition to Meta is evident. It's concerning that even apps like Meta Business Suite, supposedly designed for communication with customers, fail to provide access to Facebook Messenger and other essential features.As a user who values privacy and security, I understand the importance of identity verification measures. However, when legitimate identification documents are rejected without justification, one can't help but question Facebook/Meta's commitment to user satisfaction and security.In conclusion, my experience with Facebook/Meta's customer support has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Facebook is so called social media where is most of politics parties and religious groups holding, however I reported lots of irrelevant posts which is annoying hateful and against their community guides but they haven’t removed even single one with reason they gave it’s/that’s not against their community rules but when I replied to the same posts which I reported then Facebook restricts my account for 1 or more hours.
