Never ever rent a property from this agency. The estate agent is there for you only until you sign the contract and pay the money. The agent hid from us so many problematic issues in the property and our issues started from the day we moved in. And of course, the agent doesn't want to hear from you, as they have management company. We had an emergency a week ago and called an engineer as recommended by the agency. Same problem has happened today, out of the working hours of the agency and we called the same engineer, who would have come immediately if the agency had paid him for the job done a week ago... We had to wait for pretty some time for the agency to open and another 5 hours to take care of our problem. The absence of heating and hot water as per the property manager is NOT an emergency, so we stayed in cold for nearly 15 hours. Such a disgrace for Winkworth.

Stay away at all cost

I used Winkworth to find a tenant for my property and manage it. It has been a horrendous experience and I would recommend choosing pretty much any other agency. I needed to do some work for an electricity certificate and they brought a supplier which quoted me 3 times what it should cost so had to find a supplier myself. Then, due to a "human error" they sent their supplier in without telling me and did the work. My supplier came in and called me that they already did the work and I had to pay him for his time (which to be fair they did reimburse me). However, they then charged me the full amount of their supplier who did unapproved work in my property. Needless to say I terminated the contract with them immediately. They also extremely rude and unresponsive, would highly recommend to stay away.

Terrible Experience

Recent tenancy renewal with Winkworth.An utter shambles. Multiple contracts issued, all incorrect. Incapable of working out the financials correctly. Defensive when challenged with reasonable questions.We have luckily a great landlord that helped us sort it out. It’s criminal the amount of money Winkworth charge and still so many problems. Avoid at all costs.

Poor from Chiswick Winkworth

I'm not often one to write reviews but what infurtiates me is lies, dishonesty and wasting time.I'm fairly familiar with lettings as both a professional in the industry, and a 1st-hand user. Encountering this branch, I really expected better. A property was advertised to let on Saturday. I immediately called the branch and spoke to someone within the lettings team who informed me that the property was still available. Brilliant news - I was advised viewings were being scheduled for Monday afternoon and I agreed a slot late afternoon. I was informed that I would receive a call on the day to firm up the details - fine. Monday - the date of my pre-arranged viewing. It's getting on a bit so I once again call the branch around midday only to be informed that the property had now been let. This came as a shock as surely not, I've got a viewing, and taken the time out of my working day. When challenged the negotiator chuckled, uhmmed and ahh-ed and said oh no that's what we've just been telling people due to the high volume of interest. 'We can however squeeze you in Wednesday' - alarm bells at this point should have been enough to steer me clear however, I really liked the property. Fast forward to Wednesday and I've called to gain an update on my viewing and surprise the property has been let... but for real this time. No apology or 'let me give you a call back if anything comes up'. Surely your customer database is your bread and butter? That being said this is one branch I can safely say I am thankful for not receiving senseless reccomendations from. Communication and honesty would have sufficed here.

Belligerent, argumentative, unprofessional, rude

Belligerent, argumentative, unprofessional, rude...I called to invite Winkworth Ladbroke Grove to my house, with a view to asking them to sell it. I spoke with the franchisee who kept interjecting when I tried to speak, refused to answer a question preferring to justify the 'fee' arrangement by referencing the status quo, and who was unwilling to offer me their best percentage prior to coming into my house. Clearly politeness and professionalism isn't part of the service offered by Winkworth Ladbroke Grove and they continue to reinforce the poor reputation enjoyed by the industry as a whole.Quite why Estate Agents feel they can base their business model on an egregious percentage of the value of your home is beyond my ken, and is an outdated, outmoded and foreign principle I am unwilling to work with.

Good job Winkworth and team!!

I have been with Winkworth for quite a while now. I found their service to be excellent and they are very professional and extremely helpful. My tenant left during the pandemic, and i was starting to worry as i don’t live where my property is located. One of their agents called Nishi, helped me throughout the whole process of hunting new tenants to all other agreement related issues. I am extremely grateful and thank wholeheartedly to all the agents who have helped me finding a new tenant promptly and efficiently go through my tenancy contract. Highly recommended!

Winkworth Plc agency - The worst agency ever

We were tenants on one of the properties they managed at Winkworth Bow Estate Agents.First, they are difficult to come and fix any house issues. They just want you to pay, and they would do their minimum or even less to manage the property.Second, we have left the property long ago, we left it in a rather good condition, for a over 4 years tenancy, and they want to keep all the deposit. It has been over a month and we are still waiting for our deposit.They are not coming back to us, they are ignoring our emails, they are just a bad agency.I have lived in many places with okay agencies, but Winkworth would be the worst. I would not recommend anyone to rent a property with them.Please if you are reading this before renting, find another agency you will not regret it.

AVOID Winkworth estate agents (KIRSTIE BARBER). Kirstie will give you all false info to get you to make an offer and will lie about the property’s history. She will lie and when caught red handed, will lie to you again to cover her first lie. Pure shameless or just another estate agent! Do not use Winkworth as it a very dishonest business that you will keep on chasing to get some answers and will end up wasting your time & money. Just poor customer service & liars.
