Ridicolous!It's the 23rd of November and STILL we are waiting for answers (useless). Everytime I call the agency the property maager is always a) in a meeting, b) on the phone c) in training d) 'He is not in yet'. We such that we bet the answers every time! This is the worst agency ever! Stay far from them! Unfortunately we have to stay with them at least 2 years. Poor us. P.S. Chestertons, do not write any answer to this review. Pick up the phone and do something!!!!!

Absolutely dreadful so far. Avoid as a management company! They do not do any work, rather just act as a mailbox forwarding on every little tenant issue and when something significant does occur they say that it is not their role to attend the property and just seek photos from the tenant who has caused the issue. So we are three days on having been told that the tenant has broken the radiator in the loft, causing water to come out and go through the ceiling, and Chestertons have given us no information at all about what damage was caused. What they have done though is ask us what we want to do about the tenants' complaints about Chestertons' cleaners (that we had to pay over £500 for), two light bulbs in a 12 bulb chandelier not working and some dead flowers in a vase. We don't know what we are paying for as they don't act as a filter to tenants, don't deal with any of the day to day minor things and then when something significant occurs, say that it is not their job to attend.Worst management company I have ever used.

Something about her allowed the trust to unlock in me. Her professionalism, her confidence, she made my dream realised. Not only she was available every time I needed. She supported me all the way. She was able to calm me down when I was stressed and lost. She dealt with me and my partner and third parties in a composed way at the same time nearly 24/7. When the deadline was not in my favour, Ottavia took the matter in her hands. I could not wish for a better person. After moving in during the end of September, there were initially a whole host of issues with our flat rented through and managed by Chesterton's.As well as being generally run down and tired from the previous tenancy, such as limescale ridden shower heads, greasy oven hood (despite claims a ‘full professional clean’ has taken place), extremely worn carpets and excessively scuffed up walls.We initially raised the issues on 2/10 and were told on 5/10 that they would send someone round to investigate. A contractor then came 2 weeks after that - around 20/10.Since then, it has been more or less radio silence from the property management team.I just yesterday decided to move my wardrobe in my room from one side of the room to the other. Boy am I glad I did this as what I found is pictured below.I discovered what looks to be a botched disguising job - whereby a wardrobe was placed over existing mould, paint then applied to the exposed section above the wardrobe which was visible, and the rest left behind the wardrobe.In addition to this, the wardrobe itself started disintegrating, due in part I imagine to the damp but also the cheap nature of the furniture.I had been unknowingly living, sleeping, storing clothes, and breathing in a room with rancid fungal spores.Unfortunately, their property management service is either insufficient or lacks any real care, attention, or drive. The Landlord pays to have Chesterton's "manage" their asset and if I were them, I'd be extremely angry and upset that they have mismanaged it so poorly. Either that or the landlord was fully aware and advised them to neglect it - who knows.All that is certain, however, is that a little bit of care and or attention from a Chesterton's property manager wouldn't have gone amiss...Would actively avoid renting through Chesterton's, especially if the property is managed by them.
