Have not assisting me to get my deposit (SUTTON BRANCH near the Sutton Station)They have not assisting me to get my deposit released by the landlord and No comment from the landlord as to any issues till to now and only ask me to wait. But my lease agreement ended since 27 February 2024. Even I enquire to them, but they suggested that I raise a dispute and still no any response.I appeal to all landlords not to place listings in this house as much as possible, so as not to cause more trouble for tenants.

GoogleWe had a very smooth process from offering our price to the move in date. It felt as though the guys had our best interest which is different to how you usually feel with estate agents! We were kept in the loop regularly and they were happy to answer me chasing them, thank you very much for your great service. The only slight hiccup was that when we were told our offer was accepted, it wasn't made too obvious that the conditions of our offer in this circumstance weren't accepted, only the price. We did have to work this out for ourselves. This was a minor hiccup however and other than that we couldn't have faulted BM!!

I called Barnard Marcus South Croydon at 16.02pm on Saturday 3rd December. There was no answer in spite of their website saying they were only closing at 16.30pm. It was an urgent matter as we were locked out of our apartment and needed the agent to contact the landlord.

I've been a single tenant since October 2023 and I've raised 2 simple requests to the letting agency since then without any feedback or resolution up to this date. They haven't provided a second set of keys as I asked to have a spare in case I have family visiting or for any emergency. They also haven't provided me the landlord details as I need to apply for visitor parking though the council and I can't do it without the landlord's information. It's absolutely unbelievable no one can help me with this for 4 months and I have no hope they will.

Googlereviews can be fake, but dealt first hand with them - disappointing. dealt with aysha ahmad the mortgage advisor, most unprofessional person - and very slack and speaks aggresive and rude. read her online reviews beforehand on linkedin - noted all are very biased. dealt with her myself and she was not good - when contacted my mortgage company, she literally called customer service number from the documents; and when dealing with myself - she was rude, slow, slack, and difficlult to get hold of. and when called me and said she had left lots of voicemails- these we re clearly to the rwong number. when i did meet her - i realised how disorganised she was; and worse - she had wasted 30 mins ofm y time asking me questions we had already spoken about a day before . very unprofessional - and gives mortgage advisors a bad name.

GoogleNot impressed with the sale which I was very keen on and did everything I could to complete ASAP. The seller’s expectations were badly managed right from the start as the negotiator did not explain fully the conditions of offer. The sale fell through as the seller after all did not wish to serve notice to the freeholder for the lease to be extended (which I was going to pay for). I offered on the property back in August 2018 for me to spend money on the searches, solicitors, survey, etc for the seller to turn around FIVE months later to say he was not going to serve the notice as he never agreed to this (despite this condition being in the sales memorandum). Should the negotiator/branch have explained the process fully this could have been avoided. The seller’s solicitor was also insisting that it’d be perfectly normal for me to buy the property without knowing how much lease extension would cost me. Also, they told me they would need to qualify me before I offered on the property mortgage wise. Requested me to send documents (payslips and bank statements) as standard and then never called me to discuss until I chased. Went to see their mortgage advisor who unfortunately was not able to offer any reasonable product. The result - wasted money for me, and double lost business for them: sale that fell through twice having had the property on the market for a year and lost property that they could have let for me. Very disappointing experience indeed!

We helped move our son into a house managed by this crew… all smiles when they handed over the keys…. All downhill from there.1) toilet does not flush2) no heating3) disgusting mattress in one room 4) no hot water5) non- functioning shower but there is no hot water anyway.6) massive hole in wall behind washing machine So if you are a tenant be ware!!! And if you are a landlord…. Watch them like a hawk… your brand is being damaged.Get a grip people!!!

TrustpilotSouth Croydon Branch - Committing Fraud and Illegal Advice
Paul O-T who works here asked for my private payment details to take holing deposit and my card was fraudulently used shortly after. I had a new card sent out and my first use of the card was with Barnard Marcus again, this time the manager Jordan D-G, who took my card out of my sight to take deposit payment and shortly after again my card was used for the same company fraudulent transaction. Stay clear or at least do not let them see or hear your payment information. So many more issues with these Agents too, don’t reply to messages, offer the landlord illegal advice etc. Police report has been raised for fraud and the bank are working with the police on it and also they forced us to move in quickly to a flat that had so many outstanding repairs was a hazard and because of their incorrect advise to the landlord we are taking her to court for breach of the contract. Cannot stress to avoid enough! Telling everyone about it and they’re appalled! Not worth the risk to ever work with Barnard Marcus, esp South Croydon branch again!!

GoogleReceived excellent service throughout the process of trying to find a new home. Sophie in particular was very thorough and helped push through our application, whilst being very informative and keeping us in the loop - which I have found can be hard to come by in Estate agents. I would recommend anyone looking to find a new home to rent to use the services offered by Barnard Marcus as they have been nothing less than exceptional.
