Honesty is the key from an estate agent!! Yusof showed us a house we potentially want to purchase. We are very satisfied with the honesty with the conditions about the house and what to be aware of (you don't get this from a lot of agencies these days - C&B Horsham would be a perfect example, stay away from C&B). Although our offer did not get accepted, we'd definitely recommend to have Yusof to show us around other properties that might interest us in the future.

My partner and I bought our first home through Connells Horsham and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. After our offer was accepted, communication from the branch was almost non-existent. We were given inaccurate information about the chain throughout the process and received no updates unless we chased repeatedly. We were told that Connells 'don't get involved once everything is in the solicitors hands', which after dealing with another local agent to sell my partners property, this shouldn't be the case at all. Even arranging a second viewing required multiple calls, and any questions we asked for a call back on went unanswered. On completion day the branch initially refused to release the keys despite our solicitor, and sellers solicitor confirming twice completion had taken place. Being a first-time buyer and working with another local agent on my partner's property sale, I expected far better communication and support. Whilst we are happy to be in our new home at last, no acknowledgement or apology has taken place by any member of staff at the branch despite us complaining. Very disappointed.

Really lovely service from Kate as she was always trying her best to help us but I wanted to share my experience as I wish I had been told before my partner paid (and lost) a £450 deposit. The referencing with this agency is EXTREMELY strict. I have just changed jobs recently and my salary alone would nearly cover the amount needed for the property we chose. However, they wouldn’t allow my new salary, only my salary from last year (at a completely different job that I am no longer at ). After speaking with multiple other agencies I’ve been told they all would except my current salary . Really frustrating as it was all cancelled 3 days before our move in date. Even with how lovely the staff has been, I would definitely avoid such a strict agency.

Lily from the Mortgage Advice team was an absolute pleasure to work with. She demonstrated excellent customer service, was always easy to reach, and responded quickly to any questions I had. Unfortunately, I decided not to proceed with Connells as my mortgage broker, as I couldn’t justify the fee involved. If there had been no fee, I would have strongly considered moving forward and having Lily handle my mortgage application.
