We have recently bought and sold with the help of Humberts. We hadn't really planned to move but unexpectedly fell head over heels in love with a property they were marketing and all of a sudden we needed to sell our much loved home! We had been so impressed with Alistair's approach to our viewing of the cottage we asked him to consider marketing our home, which appeared far from the normal properties on their books. Alistair gave us his opinion regarding the value of our home and marketing strategy which initially took us by surprise. Thankfully he inspired us with such confidence we ran with his idea and thank goodness we did as a week later we had had 9 viewings and 6 good offers above the guide price. This enabled us to be in the privileged position to choose to sell to a couple we really liked and felt confident passing our special and much loved home onto. Our purchase and sale, I'm told was straightforward but in a very turbulent market I don't doubt the not insignificant role Alistair played in ensuring that. Despite being incredibly busy Alistair, Mandy and Alex were always prompt and efficient in addressing any questions we had, offering seemingly never ending reassurance and generally ensured a smooth transition liaising between all parties including our solicitor. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending their team to any potential seller, and anyone buying through them? Know that you are in good hands. They really are a huge credit to the industry and we consider we are jolly lucky we had the sense to choose them!

An unbeatable result with the recent sale of our property and an unbeatable performance from the Humberts Honiton team! … We cannot praise them highly enough! The format of the sale presentation was quickly discussed and agreed. Their photographer produced some stunning drone photos. While our ‘paper’ Sales Brochure was still awaiting printing the day after going live on the internet our first viewing was booked and took place at 9a.m.on Day Two. By 9:50a.m we received a follow-up call from the Negotiator Mandy - the viewing had gone really well. ( we were delighted!). In fact we already had our first Offer!! ( Wow! fabulous!!). AND… not only that but ……..…the offer was for the Full Asking Price ( we were flabbergasted !!!) . Humberts had found us buyers who soon proved to be perfectly matched to our property. From our first contact, the small team at Honiton (Alex, Alistair and Mandy) it was clear that they had a fresh new approach to the conventional shop window-based high street Real Estate Agency of which we are all tiring..windows so packed with details that you can’t see inside! Staff teams that are often too big. Property portfolios that are far too large. The net result can often be an impersonal service and a scenario where, if there is no early interest in your property, you feel you can quickly drift to the bottom of the pile in favour of properties newer to the market. In complete contrast Humberts Honiton are first and foremost people-focussed rather than property focussed. They have a smaller portfolio of properties for sale and can therefore take time to get to know you, what your situation is, what your expectations are and time to get to know your property, properly. They listen to and make use of owners’ input in the content and wording of sale particulars. And they are accessible, often out-of-hours and weekends included. After our Sale was agreed, they were excellent at keeping in touch with ourselves, our Solicitor and our buyers right through to Completion. The whole process ran smoothly and without complication. Thank you Alex, Alistair and Mandy for a really first rate service! We can and will highly recommend you!

So impressed with Humberts, now all my family use them! It took us just 5 weeks from acceptance of our offer to completing on our beautiful house in Honiton. Thank goodness we went with Humberts! Mandy was so approachable and responsive to all communication and that contributed to the speed of the process. On getting quotes from 3 companies when looking to first market our home Alex spent a lot of time with us answering all the queries we had openly. Within 24 hours he had formulated a detailed, several page, summary of all the information we had provided, as opposed to the one page, clipped letter we received from the other 2 agencies. Though not top of our priority list, the fees he quoted came in below the competition and there was only one additional small fee on top for aerial photos to be taken by an outside company. Draft particulars were drawn up and changes made promptly after we gave feedback. The property was launched with much publicity and, due to the uniqueness of the house, Humbert's even got it featured on a two page spread in Country Life. Despite a slow market numerous viewings were forthcoming, with good communication back to us from the company and a sale eventually agreed. Alex, Alistair and Mandy are not only very professional but really nice, honest and open people who were a pleasure to deal with and I would unequivocally recommend them and Humbert's @ Honiton

It was a great comfort to me having the assistance and expertise of Alex Coates dealing with selling my property in Devon whilst I was living in Norway, which was quite a task. Extremely professional and knowledgeable about the local area and always very responsive. Despite selling a beautiful and beautifully maintained mid nineteenth century cottage in one of the most sought after coastal villages, the house stuck due to lack of parking.
