Superb in every respect. I recently sold a house (completed the week before last) with Wm Sykes' Slaithwaite office and from start to finish they were superb. Their attention to detail, courtesy and professionalism shone through at every turn. The excellent marketing ensured I had lots of interest and they filtered out the 'wheat from the chaff' to ensure I had a great bunch of serious buyers round to view the house. I accepted an offer 5 days from the property going live (above the asking price) and then sat back to let the girls in the office sort everything out. I really couldn't recommend Wm Sykes highly enough. Thank you Steph, Georgia and Jane.

I would certainly recommend William Sykes Estate Agents in Holmfirth. Very professional service highly motivated to sell my property with great attention to detail from the photos to the marketing. Jordan was brilliant he is one of the sales negotiators came out of his way to visit my property so that he could talk to potential purchasers about the cottage. From start to completion his services were invaluable a delightful young man helpful and very encouraging. A would certainly use them again a great team to do business with. I purchased a house being sold through this firm and I cannot praise them enough. Claire L kept me informed throughout- which was more than my own solicitor did and I wasn’t paying her bill! After the sale went through I needed information from the vendors so had to go through her. She could have declined to assist but didn’t. If at some point in the future I sell my house I will place it in their hands.

Absolutely outstanding service from WM Sykes & Son. From our initial meeting with Rob we had a clear winner for entrusting our house sale. Claire managed the rest of the process with a very high degree of professionalism and efficiency. We were up against it trying to beat the stamp duty window closing, but they helped get us over the line in time. There may be cheaper options, but I highly doubt you will find a better all round value proposition. Highly commended and highly recommended.

Really unhappy with Slaithwaite. I had shown interest in a house and sent an email with an offer asking for someone to get back to me. I copied others in on my email and the email was delivered to them but WMS just didn’t even bother to get back to me. I have experienced this with them before and have spoken to others in the area who have also said that they simply got ignored if another buyer shows up. Why on earth you would purposely ignore buyers is insane! I guess it’s a matter of every £1 counts when your WMS and I’m a Cash buyer. Not really good customer service so I would definitely stick with a more responsible agent.
