Adam was fab! Turned up as expected, carried out the work to a really high standard, friendly, great with my daughter and our dog who were both very interested in what he was doing. If the review was purely for Adam I would have given 5* however our overall Avant experience hasn’t been great, hence the 3* review.

We were made very welcome by Pat at the Collingsgate development near Coalville. There was no pressure or rush with our viewings and all of our questions were fully answered, Pat’s knowledge shone through. We built up a good rapport which made the process very enjoyable.

In Avant home 1 month now. I read so many negative reviews and I was a bit worry but I found the site manager Dean very interested in customer satisfaction, reactive to our needs, and generally a star. External snags were completed even in our absence. Small snags shouldn't be counted as realistically I can do them myself quicker and almost effortlessly. So thank you Dean and team. So far happy homeowner.

Peerfield Site Chilton Whatever you do don't buy from Avant who are terrible. I have had new homes previously so understand their will be faults etc. but this company are the worst by far. Decided to buy small property on a new development. On the morning I moved in the boiler had been leaking - walls & ceiling had to be repainted. Patio door windows have been replaced twice. So many internal problems too numerous to mention. Latest problem several months after moving in was a failure of Internet & Phone. There is a fault with the fibre optic cable & it needs replacing. Customer Care (Sunderland) basically not interested & even tried to blame me then the electricians who installed it - Site Manager initially said Avant would do any remedial work but Customer Care prevaricating & generally hopeless; inept or worse - integrity; absence of clarity & trusting of their words are all issues. Avoid at all costs or you will regret it

Avant Homes' Wilbur Chase development in Ruddington Nottingham is a shambles. Staff lying about property completion dates, senior management and Directors at Avant refusing to respond to customer complaints. This is a failing business and will almost certainly cease trading before too long. Citizens Advice said they're inundated with complaints about them. Shame on the Executive Board at Avant for hiding from the problems

After looking at all the reviews. It really is down to the individual teams that are involved in the process of the purchase, build and after sales product care. This combined effort has made our experience such a positive one.Nadia/Darren at Klyppr Village were honest and experienced in there forecast on completion and help in steering the sale.Wayne Schofield and his assistant Ollie have been pro-active in resolving issues, they have always been in good dialogue with timescales and snags which have been completed as promised.I appreciate not everyone is as lucky but thanks again to the team at Klyppr Village.

Unfortunately our experience with customer care following moving in has overshadowed the excellent service provided by Louise in Sales at Radford's Meadows, along with site managers Mark, Steve, Brett and Matt. They are genuinely lovely people who have gone above and beyond to help us settle into our home, and resolve what issues they can.However, we have reported over 20 snags since moving in. Every single one has gone beyond the 30 days to be resolved stipulated by the NHQB with no explanation. We still have around 10 snags to resolve which are also beyond 30 days. I have made a complaint to Avant on 18/09/24 due to lack of communication from customer care, unresolved snags, and the ongoing stress and impact this has had on myself and my family, and have had a pathway to resolution (also outside the time frame stated on the website) but no full response to this, with no explanation as to why. Despite it stating on the Avant website I should've have had a full response and resolution within 30 days.

We have just bought our Avant home on the Millbrook site. This Avant home will also be our forever home. The build is beautiful and is everything we ever could have asked for and more. We could not thank Amanda enough as she helped us overcome each hurdle every step of the way. She is an absolute asset to the company and we would not have secured the house was it not for her.

I went to Avant Homes in Mickleover to look at the schemes they had available. The woman working very abruptly said ‘what are you doing here then’ which I gave benefit of the doubt and took with a pinch of salt. She then said she had to take my name which I didn’t mind, but I did state that I’m not in a position to buy currently but I wanted to know which new build schemes Avant were offering. It seemed as through from that moment she didn’t take me seriously and spoke to me in a patronising manner. We asked to look at the show homes to assess build quality as this is something which I feel is important when finding a home. As we were going through she said we shouldn’t be looking at the decor but should be looking at the build quality. For a new build show home (representing the quality of the company), the general feeling I took away from this was poor build quality. The door at the entrance for storage was not closing properly, cupboards were creaking. Door handles creaked, one of them upstairs didn’t spring back when pushed down. The stair bannister also had a crack in it, and the stairs creaked. I understand that these houses may have lots of traffic going through due to people wanting to view them, but what I did not appreciate was the patronising remark made by the woman in the sales office as we were looking. These hand-in-hand do not bode well. A couple of weeks later, my parents went to view the houses and speak to a sales representative, and were met with same reception by the same person: ‘who are you and what do you want’. If I were high up in the business of Avant, I’d be looking into the way this staff member behaves this way and querying why she is still in a job like this because she seems to severely dislike people. My parents came away very dejected after receiving comments like ‘we don’t want any second hand rubbish’ regarding a potential part exchange and that they were unprepared. From my understanding, these people are here to help others make big financial and life decisions, and shouldn’t be met with rude remarks. They should be met with support and someone to answer questions, regardless of how silly they may come across to the person working. I then got bombarded with phone calls for around a week after, the first one being around 5 minutes after leaving the site. This same woman said ‘do you want me to pass your information on to our financial advisors or what’. Not very nice. AVANT, if you read this, I’d advise you to have a look into this staff member. I’m sure that I’m not the first to be complaining, and probably not going to be the last.

After a very nice introduction and promises of endless help and assistance, once my NHBC survey (Which you cannot amend until a new survey 9 months later) was completed, suddenly they began to be difficult and hard to work with. The head of my development's customer service was rude, dismissive and manipulative, they have done and said anything and everything they can to avoid responsibility and refuse to properly look into my problem, simply saying it's my fault while feeding me incorrect dates and times among other things. If you are a person that requires regular assistance from the customer service of Avant Homes, avoid them at all costs!
