My first time experience of selling my property! Paul explained the procedures ! Paul’s team Gemma & Louisa is so helpful! Connells have very cost effective Agent fees no additional cost! Their after sales services are excellent! I put on sale near the end of February and offer accepted in the middle of May and contract completed middle of August. Less than six months we achieved what we wanted! Thank you Jonathan, Paul, Gemma & Louisa! I’ll recommend Connells to anybody and even like me the first time sellers!

I recently used Connells in Hitchin to purchase my first home with my partner. The service I received was professional, friendly and truly fantastic. Buying your first property can be a daunting experience. Connells, in particular Callum, was an amazing support through the expected highs and lows of the experience. We decided to use Connells in house mortgage consultant, Sharfique. Sharfique was professional and ensured we understood everything, accepting without prejudice 1000 calls a day from me for him to help my understanding. If you are looking to buy a home and want second to none customer service, I highly recommend Connells of Hitchin. If you manage to get Callum and Sharfique too, well that is just an added bonus. I look forward to working with you again when I eventually move on from this property! Top job, thank you.

Absolutely great! I recently moved to Hitchin with my partner and the Connells in Hitchin were amazing. Their customer service is second 2 none and did their best to make sure everything was understood. Me and my partner bought our first home and those from connells helped us with every step of the process, going above and beyound and making it an enjoyable time, even tho moving for the first time can be stressful. Thy helped with every call my partner made no matter how often and also made us laugh along the way. Defiantly will be going with them again when we look to move in from our first home. Thanks to the staff from Connells and all their help.

I recently sold my house through Connells. Paul Bonney and his staff were all excellent from start to finish and extremely professional throughout the sale. Paul visited initially and explained the process in a straightforward manner which was very helpful and easy to understand. Whilst the process was ongoing Paul was in regular contact and helped with any issues that arose through solicitors. The house went up for sale in mid August and we completed at the start of December, which I felt was more than reasonable. Thanks to Paul and the team the sale was made a lot easier and all went smoothly.

Unfortunately I am not able to give zero stars against this company. They are a bunch of absolute liars and only think about lining their pockets. Winter without heating, weeks not able to use a bathroom, (this was AFTER the landlady gave the go ahead) consistently rude and contradict themselves at every turn. They always look to pass blame to anyone but themselves. I would be highly surprised if the Landlady hasn't been completely shafted too. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I was apprehensive regarding the stages involved in putting my old cottage up for sale. I received a warm welcome from the staff in Connell's branch in Hitchin. The viewing arrangements were sensitively handled and I always had generous notice time before arrivals. Paul had matched my practical limitations and found a buyer who could allow the time for my transactions to be spaced out. My hunt started for a home easier to clean and move about in. I had some severe disappointments after finding a suitable place only to have the selling agent not answering their phone or the website freezing at a critical stage. I sensed my bids would have received a better reception if I had been an investment buyer needing a mortgage. Jonathan helped me to interpret the responses I encountered and relate them to broader market conditions. I could not have overcome the setbacks without this sort of support. It was not matched by the lawyer I had engaged whose plodding inflexibility, grudging explanations and ill-conceived order of priorities dismantled the efforts of everyone to achieve a successful conclusion. Emily on the sales staff always evinced enthusiasm for her role and displayed skill and initiative in revising terms to meet changed conditions as buyers reacted to higher interest rates. My sale did not survive the tighter market but I shall not hesitate to place my house in the hands of Connells of Hitchin when conditions are brighter.

Connells are without a doubt the worst estate agent I've ever used. The only reason I've given them two stars and not one is that some of the staff were helpful for the period of time they were there but over the years I used them to let out my property, the staff changed constantly and when you are in the middle of dealing with a complaint its extremely frustrating to have to start again every five minutes. I had two sets of considerable compensation given to me for huge screw ups that cost me time and money but even the complaint process with head office was a nightmare as they were denying constantly that they were to blame, luckily I had all the emails and evidence to prove it. The way they handled the covid pandemic was also chaotic and caused further problems that I had to be compensated for. All in all I couldn't honestly recommend them to anyone as I had nothing but headache from them. Like I said you may get lucky and get a nice member of staff but I'm guessing as they're a huge chain there's a lot of movement with staff coming and going as the staff was so inconsistent
