The romans group are just despicable!!

The romans group are just despicable!!, they are liars and cheaters just trying to con you so that they can keep your deposit money.. My partner and I had the place professionally cleaned before moving out, and now they are trying to charge us extortionate rates despite the fact that the house is thoroughly been cleaned... From what I have been reading from many others with the same experiences they keep on doing this and must now be immediately stopped.. They cannot go on trying to con and steal money from people

Untrustworthy - avoid!

Untrustworthy, do not use!We were told on viewing a house that the vendor was ready to move as he had just lost a sale and needed to get an offer quickly.2 months down the line and not only is he not ready but hasn't even found a house!We have spent the last 2 weeks chasing Romans trying to get our mortgage valuation booked in and only today managed to squeeze out the information that it's not happening.We now have to retract our offer and find somewhere else when we were expecting to move in a few weeks.Extremely frustrating and disappointing, both the vendor and Romans are completely dishonest.

Overvalued house to get business

Overvalued our house by 35000 then when they won the business we had for reduce it all within a week. I guess doing that is the only way to win business due to the fees being so much higher than everywhere else. When had any queries got re-directed to a call centre as apposed to the branch and was treated like their work was done. Can get a lot better rates elsewhere don’t bother if selling!

After viewing 100s of properties with various Agents and unsuccessful. Lewis Bebb repeatedly stayed in contact and was determined to find us a property. I can honestly say, that I've never had an Agent as committed or determined to get us somewhere. I've dealt with a lot of estate agents, both buying and selling and he has honestly out done any agent I've dealt with. I have recently completed on my property. The individuals at Romans did a fantastic job of getting people through the door (more than my 1st estate agent I had!) then the pandemic struck, but as soon as they could open again I had people in and finally got an offer that I wanted! They don't over value the property just to get your business, they are straight talking, honest people who really want to see both parties happy with the outcome. During the final few weeks they were talking to me every other day keeping me in the loop with why there was delays and changes. Their rates aswell, are really competitive and match others in HW. Would 100% recommend using them to sell your property. Stephanie (the manager of the branch) is absolutely fantastic aswell! Thank you to the team

Due to change in circumstances we started looking for a larger property all the way in Lincolnshire. We were proactively contacted by Emily at Romans to value our house, having heard from their partners in Lincolnshire that we were looking. Stephanie came by and gave us a valuation which we took her up on. BEST decision we made was going through Romans High Wycombe. From start to finish, the Sales team have been fantastic! I will never ever use Romans letting…

I will never ever use Romans letting agency again. Not only are they unbearably slow at fixing or replying to any problem. They ignored multiple complaints about my neighbours harassing us (for a broken fence that took Romans 6 months to arrange to fix). I got a dog about 10 months ago and let Romans know - Romans asked permission from my landlord and we had the permission granted. My landlord is a very old man who uses a letting agency because he is incapable in his age to manage his properties alone. The letting agency called my landlord 10 months after I had my dog to advise we had a dog - despite already obtaining permission from both Romans and my landlord. Absolutely poor admin management which has affected my mental health multiple times over the years I have unfortunately had to have Romans in my life. They have ignored all complaints about harassment from the next door neighbours, they don’t fix ANYTHING in time, they are an absolute shambles. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I certainly will never use them again. Absolutely disgusting treatment.

Hopeless,do not use them nor to buy or to sell.Unfortunately they don’t know what they are doing, the one guy in the office is professional at flicking any enquiry away, their website is useless and a waste of time. I tried to register to bid on an auction with them but I couldn’t, they are only interested in your credit card details even before you can get to the legal pack!I called their office a few times they are not interested. If I was a landlord I wouldn’t use them for selling as they can’t achieve bidders.Even if you read all their replies to the bad 70% reviews, it’s funny it is always the same repeat reply.Romans team can’t be arsed.

Just don't bother with Romans at all!

Just don't bother with Romans at all - waste of time, energy and effort. If you have any problems or need repairs/maintenance works done, they make out that they really care and want things to be fixed quickly, but actually they couldn't care less. Our maintenance issues were still not sorted by the end of our 2-year tenancy, and the landlord and Romans refused to deduct any money from the end-of-tenancy costs. I just wish I knew that they were this bad from the get-go, because then I would have gone straight to another estate agent.

Bristol Rental - Avoid at all costs!

I lived in a Bristol property where the rental management was taken over by Romans. I don't normally write reviews, but feel I had to share my experience. They were shocking, if I could give them zero stars I would. They were very unprofessional - very unorganised and uncoordinated in their communications to us as tennants, they would be no shows for important appointments and offer no explanation, contacted me many times about the property after I had moved out, plus too many other examples to list here. I would avoid them at all costs if you don't want tonnes of extra stress adding to your rental experience. Terrible!

Misrepresented, Inconsistency, and Agents Disinterest

We were deeply disappointed and misrepresented by our Maidenhead Romans team, wasting the good part of a year. We struggled getting feedback via Romans from the myriads of browsers that were let through; different Romans agent representatives making a mess of communication each time, and all of who had no idea or in interest in the product they were selling (our house). We were convinced to accept a very low offer on our place by one representative, despite being sure it was too low, only to discover our identical neighbour’s house selling for tens of thousands more under a different agent. The Romans experience really hit home when the buyer of our neighbour’s house knocked on our door to say they had wanted ours first but Romans never managed to organise a viewing for them. Needless to say, we whipped it off the market with Romans, put it on with our neighbour’s agent and sold within two weeks during a lockdown for tens of thousands more. The experience speaks for itself.
