A great service

A great service and experience working with the Canterbury Strutt & Parker team. Ed and Aaron gave a realistic valuation for the property and excellent advice in a tricky climate for selling. The ladies who showed the house on my behalf were also brilliant, getting to know about it to field viewers’ questions. My property quickly attracted purchasers and Ed worked alongside me as we negotiated an unusual timeframe for the sale and help to close the deal. Always available with advice, Ed also helped to smooth and progress the legal journey to completion. Overall a great experience and I felt I good hands throughout making a usually stressful transaction relatively plain sailing. Thank you to the whole team.

I recently bought a property through Aaron and can't recommend him highly enough. This wasn't a simple transaction, and there were a few points where it could easily have stalled. Aaron stayed calm and professional throughout, kept everyone moving, and worked hard to find solutions which suited both sides. His communication was outstanding. I got updates several times a day, including evenings and weekends if needed. I never had to chase him for anything. I doubt we'd have got over the line without him. Thank you, Aaron

Truly terrible estate agents.

Truly terrible estate agents. For the past five days both my husband and I have contacted them repeatedly to ask for a home report for a property they're advertising for sale with no response. Recorded voicemail when you call does not return the messages left, and gives an office number to call if "urgent" but that number loops you back to the same voicemail. Nick, you suck at your job. The chat bot they have takes your request and doesn't get back to you. The number to dial via Rightmove gets you nowhere either. Honestly, if I was selling through them I'd be incredibly unhappy. Truly awful company offering no service to buyers.

I do not think that selling your home can ever be described as a pleasant experience, however Strutt and Parker at Guildford made it through excellent customer service more bearable. I felt from the initial contact and instruction, to the valuation which was spot on, right up to exchange of contracts and beyond, S & P have shown complete professionalism and real care for their clients. Ken Roberts I found to be refreshingly knowledgeable and honest in his market views, I would also like to thank Jackie Knights who managed our sale for us, for all of her persistence and hard work, credit where credit due, she has done S & P proud. Cambridge rentals fiasco

This relates to the rentals service in Cambridge. We rented a house from Strutt & Parker for more than three years. They were never quick to deal with repairs and other issues, however we had a direct relationship with the owner which made life easier. When we moved out at the end of June 2024, we got the full benefit of Strutt & Parker's contempt for tenants, stunning slowness and incompetence. It took them nearly four months -- until 28 October 2024 -- to return the deposit. There was a litany of lame excuses about the time needed for estimates for some minor repairs. The reality was that it just wasn't a priority, they didn't care and they couldn't even work out which photographs attached to the contract corresponded to which actual rooms. If you rent property in Cambridge, beware this lot. Or at least be ready to suffer.

Took 3 attempts to get a call back but eventually worked out.....

Update - I was finally contacted by AndrewHarwood on Tuesday 12th. He was suitably apologetic and arranged to come to appraise our home personally on the 13th which he did in a very professional manner. On this basis, I have upgraded my review from 1 star to 4. Contacted Nicholas on chat service twice, 02nd and 05th Mar to arrange a visit by one of their valuers. No one called back in response to either contact. I was surprised and disappointed and so sent an e-mail to Andrew Harwood on 06th Mar, their Residential Director in Sevenoaks to make him aware and ask someone to call me as matter or urgency. No call back as of 09th Mar. Shocking. If that's how they deal with Sellers, what opportunities being missed with potential buyers??
