GoogleWe recently sold our house through Winkworth and had a great experience. Geoff and James were particularly helpful and kept us updated throughout and answered any questions we had. Couldn’t fault them and would definitely use them again in the future.

I would never use Winkworth Borehamwood again. The staff are rude as soon as you challenge anything, one of the team who does the viewings talks absolute rubbish, makes false promises about what will be done in the property before move in date (which doesn’t happen) and then the other team members are rude and and make ridiculous statements to excuse the false promises. Everythings a battle with them down to the simplest of things! Never experienced such poor service in all the years I have dealt with letting agents.

GoogleI had an excellent experience using winkworth. Throughout the whole process Geoff was brilliant. He kept in touch and gave very quick turnaround on any questions I had. I couldn't of asked for better person to handle things! Thanks for the excellent service.

This company clearly values the wealthiest tenant over the right kind of tenant.Winkworth is regularly hosting ‘open house’ viewings of rental properties. Potential tenants are bundled into houses in groups or made to stand outside queuing to get in and then encouraged to bid against each other in a bidding war and actively encouraged by the agent to place a higher offer than the advertised rent. Not only is this process discriminatory but it pushes people who may already be stretching their budgets to stretch them even further. Rents advertised should be the rents tenants commit to. If a landlord is keen to earn more than the advertised rent then it should be advertised as ‘offers over’ and the potential open house viewings made explicit. Really disappointed in Winkworth and am searching for an agent who values their customer not merely their wallet.

Angela and her team are AMAZING! She secured a very quick sale for my house achieving a good amount above the asking price and helped me secure my purchase under the asking price. But where they really really shine is the personal service ironing out the ‘impossible’ scenarios. I was going through a tricky personal time with my Mum in hospital when a neighbour started misbehaving about a nasty notifiable weed which looked as if it would completely scupper the sale, she stepped in with advice, support and telephone numbers.They offer a polite, honest efficient service, so helpful and I contact as a friend as well as a BRILLIANT Estate Agent.No hesitation to recommend.

Great if you are a landlord, awful if you are a tenant. Trying to raise prices as much as possible, siding with the landlord at every possible opportunity. Two years ago we signed the contract and then Winkworth / the landlord decided not to sign their part until 1 week before moving 'just in case the previous tenants decide not to leave or something'. Were left in a difficult situation as I was moving in with my partner and we both gave notices in our places with the fear that if something went wrong these guys wouldn't have the contract signed. Tried to hike my rent by another 7% after in year for an already overinflated price which had raised by ~20% before I moved in.They also sublet any property management so if you have a problem in the building they do nothing because they just delegate to a 3rd company. Only bother if the issue is inside the flat.Not worse than other agencies though, and that is the problem, this is the situation in England...

I let my property through Winkworths in Kensal Rise.I recently had the property completely refurbished and decorated. Michael did a brilliant job of organising all the tradesmen and making the process quick, efficient and very smooth. His input and suggestions were extremely helpful. Aaron also did a brilliant job of getting the property let quickly. The process was very professional and efficient. They are always very friendly and helpful to deal with.

Winkworth in general and Dipen are extremely unprofessional agents - we agreed to 4pm viewing, i've left work earlier and my partner had to cancel job interview to view the property - comes out he is "unavailable" at 4pm anymore even if he confirmed it earlier and now he can do 5pm.at 5pm i was at the property - and guess what? he didnt pick up the phone. luckily, another winkworth's branch in hendon was just next door so we managed to view the flat. the estate agent was extremely c0cky and arrogant, didnt know anything about the property, didnt let me to test water, had his hands in the pockets and just spoke about how he spent his life in hong kongdisgusting agents. never again

They don't even deserve the one star but you have to put it to be able to leave a review. Awful doesn't come close to their service!!First time for us selling a house and the branch manager convinced us they were the ones to do it. Promised us "professional photographs", "dedicated sales team", "great communication and follow up from viewings" and "expert sales agents".We received literally NONE of what he promised. The photographs were not great, let alone professional. The estate agent using a professional level camera, does not equate to professional photos. Some of them weren't even focused properly, they were taken at very poor angles and the first photo that everyone saw online, which was of the front of the house, had almost the entirety of the neighbour's house in it! So people didn't even know which house was for sale!! Even one of the people viewing made that comment when they got to the house. As for communication and follow up from Winkworth, there was none. We unfortunately had to chase them for ANY feedback and even then we just got poor excuses of they "hadn't spoken to them yet" (6-7 days after a viewing), "we left a message" etc. We're not the kind of people that get offended if someone doesn't like the house enough to buy it, but the agent should at least let the client know if the viewer didn't want to take it any further. We were even told that a couple of the viewers were "very keen" yet had zero follow up on them. One couple who we were told were "super keen" even had a follow up question for us regarding broadband speed, for which the answer was "gigabyte high-speed fibre" which is the most positive answer you can get and then. . . nothing. No follow up call from the agents like they'd promised they'd give us.One of the agents Max, was great and he was the only positive thing about the entire experience with Winkworth, but even he didn't follow up from the viewers follow up question, just left us hanging.The sales agents are honestly nothing more than a poor mans tour guide. Giving bad advice like "knocking through into the garage" for more living space (which is actually taking away space to do that), instead of suggesting a conservatory or small extension. 🙄Also, how difficult is it to turn lights off after a viewing?! Given the current extortionate charges for electric it is simply unprofessional not to turn lights off, not to mention costing the client money. The branch manager of the Hellesdon office is utterly patronising, condescending and goodness does he love to mansplain!Please, please save yourself the disappointment and frustration and use a different estate agent. Don't waste any time with Winkworth, get yourself someone who will actually do the job properly and professionally and sell your property.

Dear potential clients of Winkworth Estate Agents, I would like to make you all aware before you think of signing a contract with this incapable organisation. Firstly a viewing took place at my property, which I later found footprints all over my brand new cream carpets, on another occasion my wall got damaged by a client that viewed my property so I made contact with the Director regarding costs to fix this, but was told it’s not their responsibility to supervise your property during viewings. Secondly, the communication and lies regarding clients positions and the ongoing lack of support quickly come to light that we had chosen the wrong agent. Lastly, my advice to you, would be to never to go with Winkworth as the whole experience was something I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through. I have to give Winkworth Borehamwood a 1* review because we have had a nightmare with a landlord who was friendly throughout our 2.5 year tenancy via Winkworth, but has then blatantly tried to rip us off by holding back a large proportion of our deposit when we left. Winkworth stood by and watched this happen without trying to fairly resolve it. It’s been really stressful. So be careful because they are obviously on the side of the landlord and do not look out for the rights of the tenant.

We did make it clear to the tenant Mr Clare, that we could not intervene in the matter, as the whole point of having the deposit registered with the Deposit protection Service (DPS) was to make sure that an independent adjudicator would be looking at disputes arising from tenancy deposits. It was never a part of our role to represent either party.Thank you.
