No different from any other estate agent except twice as much

Lots of hype about how they would sell my flat in 3 to 4 weeks...it hasn't happened...at every step of the way I've had to chase them to do their job. Whenever I've rang with a question they've always replyed with corporate bluster and no answer..basically fobbing me off...you'll have to do the viewings as they dont do this...you might aswell advertise the property yourself through an online estate agency for a fraction of the cost as I didn't even get a floorplan with my description. Lots of sales talk about their investment portfolio of customers but in reality, I heard nothing from them about this side of the business and it seemed to be all zoopla and rightmove...I'll happily remove or rewrite this honest review if they manage to sell my property in the remaining 30 day notice period that I've just given them

I have been very impressed with the service

I have been very impressed with British Homesellers, and although I didn't achieve a sale on my house I have been impressed with the service from the staff and the whole process. The only difference to a regular estate agency is that you do viewings yourself which I actually prefer, other than that they are available on the phone whenever you need an update and they offer helpful advice the whole way through. If it wasn't for Coronavirus I am sure I would have had an offer on my property by now so it was just bad timing I think. I will be using them again if I decided to put my house on the market in the future.

Very easy to deal with. Helpful staff and processes fully explained. The only issue I had was contacting them for an update on the sale of my property. The person I went back to was Alex, who had passed my case to someone else but when I spoke to him he got the information I needed very quickly. He was great to deal with. Also, William that I spoke with initially was very pleasant and helpful. Thank you both.

They provide a friendly service but...

They provide a friendly service but I was sold a "4 - 6 week" timescale where they generally achieve "95 - 97%" of the asking price and "target Landlords" so as to achieve a solid buyer. Given the above, I was left with the expectation that a sale was almost guaranteed and thus didn't mind the higher commission rates than all local estate agents. However that didn't appear to be the case. No sale was achieved and the 2 viewers we had in the 2 months with them had seen the property on Rightmove and Zoopla and were not landlords. I was expected to show all viewers round myself and no floorplan was provided on the marketing sites. Another thing to bear in mind is the 30 day notice period if you want to leave their service. If they were charging a lower than average commission rate then my review would score them higher.

Genuine Online Estate Agents

I had a very pleasant experience with British Homesellers. It was the first time I had purchased a property myself and they made it a very smooth purchase. Communication throughout the sale was great and Alex Clendon answered any queries I had and kept me up to date. When the sale was completed Charles Gale called to congratulate me the following day and arranged for my deposit to be returned which arrived in my bank account shortly afterwards. I really recommend British Homesellers and would use them again in the future.Thank you very much to you all.

We accepted British Homebuyers on the…

We accepted British Homebuyers on the premis that they could secure a speedy sale for us using their network of prospective buyers with proven funds. This turned out not to be the case; the buyer needed to secure funds and there were operational difficulties with PPL, the solicitors they use and whose services we used. The process took over six months. We needed the money from the sale as startup capital and were, to say the least, frustrated by the delays.Having said this, halfway through the conveyancing process, the original agent was replaced with Charles whom we found to be efficient, courteous and personable. He kept us informed throughout the process on an almost daily basis, explaining the process clearly and without frills. Through his efforts, i have given three, as opposed to one star.

Good if you have a property that will rent. I wasnt impressed.

If you have a property that you think will rent well, then this might be an option for you. But if you have a big family home, then I would suggest not.I would say they typically get you to reduce the price by £10k from original asking, with a view to getting you down further. They said they sell the majority of their house with 3 weeks. I didn't even get a viewing.This might work for some people, but not for everyone and certainly not for me.

We were initially cautious, but after a fruitless experience with a conventional estate agent, we gave British Homesellers a go. They were positive and proactive from the start, they promised us they could sell our flat, and they did. We felt fully in control of the process, which we where able to tailor to our particular circumstances as overseas sellers. Charles and Alex always kept us informed and helped us through the process from beginning to end and beyond. We were able to arrange viewings to suit us, and we felt they were genuinely interested in selling. We had three offers above the asking price after the first week of viewing and we were delighted to accept one. The conveyancing did take a few unexpected twists and turns, but their attitude - when, not if, the sale happens - was very reassuring and gave us confidence. Thoroughly recommended, a company that really seem to enjoy providing an excellent service.

Honest and courteous service, transparent upfront pricing

I found British Homesellers/British Home Buyers after doing a fair but of research as this looks like an area where there are some dodgy operators. They were extremely helpful (Charles, James, Danielle, Charlotte, William). T's and C's were very clear, all costs apparent upfront, no nasty shocks. Not cheap considering you need to do the viewings etc., but it suited our circumstances perfectly and they achieved a sale relatively easily. Excellent service, thanks

Didn't listen to simple instruction.

Gave the team a specific criteria when selling my house, they failed to vet potential buyers which resulted in a disappointed buyer and a disappointed seller (me). I sacked them for their incompetence, so no fee for them, everyone lost out.
